Im drowning.
Drowning in guilt.
I try to keep my head above the guilt infested waters, but it just drags me down without a second thought.
It's relentless.
Never giving up.
It's main goal is to fill my lungs to the brim with this overpowering feeling of remorse and shame.
I gasp and struggle for a breath of forgiveness but there is none.
I scream and reach out my arms above the surface of the cruel waters, hoping someone, anyone will help save me.
But I'm left sinking in the darkness.
