She watched, unable to stop them, as the two boys stormed off towards the exit, headed for the parking lot.

-

"Mom." Harley called as she walked into the kitchen, her black leather boots making light tapping sounds on the cold tile floor. It was chilly inside her house for an afternoon and she figured it was due to the flooring, it was keeping the cold inside the house.

Her mother walked in, bright smile on her face. "Yes honey?"

"You said the Hood family are neighbors of ours, which house is their's?" Harley asked.

The smile on her mother's face grew bigger, if that were even possible. "Are you planning on visiting Calum? That's lovely!" Turning towards the kitchen counter, she grabbed a tupper ware container and handed it to Harley. "Give him this. I made some cookies today and I thought he and his family might enjoy them."

Harley rolled her eyes. "Okay."

"Their house is the one directly across the street from ours. But they say they'll be moving away in a couple of weeks." Mrs. Quinn commented.

Harley cheered internally, trying to hide her happiness.

"But," Her mother added, "They won't be going far. Just a few blocks away. They're moving into one of Grandad Hood's estates."

Shrugging her shoulders, she said, "Well, I guess I'll go give him the cookies then."

"Where do you think you're going?" Billy strolled into the room casually, grabbing a hold of Harley's arm to stop her from leaving.

"What do you want?" She narrowed her eyes at her older brother suspiciously.

He grinned from ear to ear. "Cindy and I are going bowling tonight-"

"And I care because?" She scoffed. "I think you're old enough to go without a chaperone, Billy."

"The thing is...Cindy invited Luke, but Luke is date-less, so we thought you could be his date..." He trailed off.

Harley nearly broke out into a fit of laughter. "Don't make me laugh, brother. I have a hard time believing Luke Hemmings, the most popular boy in school, couldn't find a girl to go out with him tonight."

"Its not that he couldn't get a date. He wants you to be his date." Billy explained.

"Tough luck." Harley replied. "I already made plans with Calum tonight."

Billy's face contorted into an expression of annoyance. "Calum? The Hood family's kid? Harley, you can't be friends with him. Everyone at school hates him."

"Because Luke hates him." Harley pointed out.

"Still, he's not one of us." Billy said.

"One of us?" She asked. "He's not one of you. He and I happen to have many similarities."

"Like what?" Her brother questioned, cocking an eyebrow at her.

Like, maybe, we are both shifters.

Or maybe we're both crazy because we can see dead people in the mirrors.

"I can't believe you forced me to come." She sulked.

"Aw, come on. You'll have fun." Billy chuckled, amused at my bad mood.

"Oh yeah," She began sarcastically. "The night already began with loads of fun when you and Luke practically dragged me into the car by force."

From the driver's seat, Luke added with a smile. "Lighten up, Harley."

She shook her head, crossing her arms over her chest defiantly. "I most definitely will not."

With her chirpy voice, Cindy spoke up. "You should give my brother a chance. The two of you would be so cute together."

At the bowling alley, Luke was the only one actually bowling after several failed attempts at flirting with Harley.

Billy and Cindy sat at their table, sucking each other's faces off, while Harley looked away.

Luke noticed the bored expression on her face and strode over to her, a smile on his lips. "Wanna play?"

She shook her head. "I've never bowled before."

He was surprised by her response. "Never?"

"Nope." She replied, making a popping sound on the 'p'. "I'm not sure if my brother told you, but I hardly go out. And I never had a particular interest in bowling, so I didn't find it necessary to learn how to do it."

"Your brother tells me a lot of things." He grinned.

"Okay..."

Waving her over, he said, "C'mon, I'll teach you."

"No thanks." She said.

"Have a little fun, Harley."

"I'm already having the time of my life sitting right here on this bench." She countered.

"Please," He continued.

Finally sighing in defeat, she said, "Fine. Teach me then, Professor Hemmings. But I need to send my mum a text because I forgot to...turn the garden hose off."

He nodded, not catching onto her lie and went to go pick out a bowling ball.

Pulling her phone out of her pocket, she unlocked it and immediately searched her contact list for one name.

Calum.

If Ashton were alive and not some ghost in her mirror, she would have called him. He was the better option. But for now, Calum was all she had to get her out of there.

She texted him, "Save me."

His response came in seconds later. "Where are you?"

"Bowling alley." She replied. "With Luke, Cindy and my brother Billy."

Calum sent her a winking face, "I thought you didn't like hanging out with me."

"I prefer you over Barbie Boy. He's nice and all, but I know he's just after the V." She texted.

"What makes you think I don't want the V?"

"Ugh, you're a pervert. You know what? Don't come save me."

"I'm on my way." Was his reply.

"Alright," She breathed, holding the heavy bowling ball in her hand. "Teach me."

Luke walked up right behind her, too close for comfort and pressed his body against hers. She could feel his breathing on her neck and the warmth of his body radiating off him. "Its pretty simple." He purred, sliding his right hand over her arm until he reached her hand which held the bowling ball.

He led her movements and she let the ball go down the lane.

"Nice job." He congratulated her, softly trailing kisses along the length of her neck. His touch sent a shiver down her spine and she was frozen in place, unable to move.

"Oi, get away from her." She heard a menacing voice say before Luke was pulled away from her.

Luke laughed, "Why don't you mind your own business, mate?"

"I think its very much my business when Barbie is trying to get at my girl." Calum said in annoyance.

"You think I'm afraid of you, Hood?"

"You better be."

"Let's take this outside." Luke suggested.

Calum nodded, "Any time."

Harley turned around, grabbing Luke's arm to stop him. "Wait, don't start a scene in front of everyone for my sake."

"Harley, move." Calum ordered, his chocolate brown eyes staring into mine.

Suddenly, it was as if all her thoughts were jumbled up and her senses were broken. She couldn't move. It was then that she knew Calum was using one of his weird tricks on her, like he had done with the metallic ball.

She watched, unable to stop them, as the two boys stormed off towards the exit, headed for the parking lot.

SUSPENSE.

DUN DUN DUN.

LUKE IS GONNA FIGHT CALUM. WHO DO YOU THINK WILL WIN?

I THINK IT IS OBVIOUS CONSIDERING CALUM HAS SPECIAL ABILITIES, BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL MAKE HIM USE THEM YET.

ANYWAY, QUESTION OF THE DAY: DO YOU WATCH SOAP OPERAS? OMG I LOVE THEM. IF YOU'RE HISPANIC LIKE ME, YOU'LL KNOW WE LATINOS LIVE FOR SOAP OPERAS. THERE ARE THESE REALLY GOOD ONES ON MUNDO FOX THAT INSPIRED SOME OF MY STORIES. LIKE, IF YOU GUYS WATCHED 'ALIAS EL MEXICANO', THAT INSPIRED ME TO WRITE CAMELOT. AND THEN THERE WAS ONE CALLED 'LA VIDA SIGUE' AND THAT ONE HELPED ME DEVELOP ANOTHER STORY THAT I WILL POST LATER ON. BUT ANYWAY, NOVELAS ARE AWESOME.

THANK YOU FOR READING AND SUPPORTING AND BEING OVERALL LOVELY PEOPLE.

I LOVE YOU!
