Dear No One

A crush.

Do you know why they call it a crush?

Because if your feelings aren't mirrored, you end up crushed.

Even though we know this.

We know the ending to this story.

This chapter in our lives.

We fall anyway.

The worst feeling ever, is when no one is there to catch you.

You fall.

You get hurt.

They catch someone else.

You feel crushed.

Why not call it falling?

Because calling it a crush, tells you exactly how it will end.

It is a warning.

If you know the ending of a story first, you can tell when the characters are past hope.

We can spot it in others' stories.

Why not our own?

Because we make excuses.

We turn a blind eye.

We pretend that they didn't hurt us.

We pretend that they aren't really with that person, they are just friends.

Really friendly friends.

A crush is not you falling for the person.

It is scenarios that we have made up in our heads of the person and us.

They do exactly what we want them to do, not what they really would.

A crush is all in our heads.

But don't stop dreaming.

Get your heart broken.

You may never be the same again.

But that's not a bad thing.

Have a crush.

Love From

Me xx
