Addison is 18 and she's been living in rehab. She has a bad past and she has trust issues.
Niall is 20 and he also lives in rehab. He's got a rough past and an anger problem.
When the rehab center creates a summer project, called the group project, Addison and Niall are put in the same group, along with three other people. They're forced to live in the same house to get to know each other and share their problems. There's a group leader, a top therapist, in each house who talk to the members each day. The goal is to let go off their past and be happy.
For Addison's group, The Missunderstood, there's a cutter, a drug user, an anorexic, Addison, and Niall. They all have to learn to accept one another and accept the love they will be given.
