Prince stared directly at me with his beautiful Hypnotic eyes, and then he said: "I see you had a visitor, interesting."
I was concerned, nerves fluttered in my belly but I was not going to let him notice. I wanted him to be pleased with me. I think we have gotten past our trust issues. Yes I said to myself, he can trust me now.
Twirling the guitar pick between his fingers he smirked and said: "I guess you are still working on your music lessons?"
I swallowed and felt a little uneasy with the questions, worried what he would say next.
I laughed nervously and said oh that? That's just Hmm, Slash, you know he has been great helping me out, thank goodness you hired him and....
I said looking away from his hazel eyes.
Whatever you do Alex do not look in his eyes, he would see your soul! He will know you are hiding something.
He placed his hand on his shoulder obviously still in pain.
I quickly convinced him to have a seat.
"Oh, darling, you really should relax. I will get you something to...." I watched concerned as his face got pale.
"Should I call the doctor?" I asked obviously worried about the way he looked. I didn't feel like he ought to be at home I felt as though he must go back to the hospital.
He dismissed my concerns and said we're going to Paisley right now. In fact, we are having a party tonight.
I looked at him shocked! A party? What party? That should be the last thing on his mind why would he want to have a party? But I knew I couldn't stand in the way of my husband's decision making. He tried convincing me that it was the right thing to do.
Damn I wanted to say "You just got out of the hospital"
I yearned to tell him so many things, but I couldn't bring myself to doing so.
I wanted to say damn the party; then I wondered how long I could remain so complacent?
But then I realized this is Prince and I am damn lucky to be his wife. What kind of wife would I be to hurt his feelings right now?
He said:" where is Nate?
"With my mom" I murmured.
Well, that is great we will pick him up on our way to Paisley."
"I can have her bring him over, it will be quicker." I said biting my lower lip.
He smiled staring straight ahead. Then he turned to look at me. He said:
" Oh and guess what? I have a surprise for you just like old times babe."
I felt my heart beating faster. Like old times, what did he mean by that?
I was still far away in my thoughts, when suddenly, a familiar face walked into the room. My eyes widened.
"Oh, what is he doing here?" I asked, staring at the man before me, Micky.
Micky is going to be playing at tonight's concert like we always do. Oh and Slash too....
"Concert? I thought it was a party?"
"Both darling....a concert and a party," Prince said in a low voice, still twirling the guitar pick in his fingers.
Micky stepped forward to hug me, I pushed back, but damn I had crazy thoughts swirling through my head.
I had to keep it together. My phone began buzzing at that moment; I glanced at it. The number looked familiar; it was Ethan. Why is he calling me?
"Aren't you going to pick it up, darling?" Prince asked. I shook my head. This situation was all too much for me to process. My husband standing there next to the man I thought I had an affair with, and the guy with whom I have a huge celebrity crush on will be playing onstage with Prince tonight? Plus how safe will it be to play after all that went down?
I said stammering," I think you should consider canceling the show tonight."
I looked down; I couldn't look him in the eyes. I felt guilty. I should only have eyes for my sexy husband and no one else.
"You look a little nervous Athena, is everything okay?"
"Yes I said taking a seat, Micky spoke at that moment: "I guess I will see you over at Paisley Brother. Nice seeing you again Athena." He said smiling and leaning down to embrace me. Then he whispered into my ears "Nemehotatse" (translation I love you)
Taken aback, I winced and looked at him, and in an instant, he was gone out the door! Once he left, I turned to Prince.
"Darling... I am so happy you are back."
Prince smirked and asked,"are you?"
"Yes... I said in a sexy voice rising back on my feet.
"Well show me how much you missed me" he said moving closer and gathering me against him. I loved the feeling of being held close to his toned body.
Then he murmured: "turn around," He said spinning my body around, so my back rested on his toned chest. For a moment, I let my body relax onto his as his firm arms encircled my body.
Then he whispered into my ears. "Let me show you darling," he purred pausing for a moment.
Then he continued: " I am a talented boy!"
I heard him unzipping my dress.
Then I felt his warm, sexy breath on the nape of my neck. My entire being wanted him but then I wondered: isn't it too soon? I felt him planting tender kisses on my neck.
Then he said: "I want you."
The dress cascaded down to the floor.
"We have little time darling," he murmured. My heart began beating faster; it had been a while since we made love, I felt my chest rise and fall as he walked circles around me.
"Still beautiful...." he whispered, pulling me into his arms and passionately kissing my lips. Yes, I was a sinner with crazy thoughts, but with him, I didn't mind being a sinner.
"No man will love you, like I can," he declared as his lips teased the contours of my curves and damn, he was right. I was so ready, ready than I have ever been to feel his beautiful musical fingers all over my body. My pulse quickened with longing. Every inch of my being lit up in anticipation for more!
When all of a sudden he stopped and pulled back. Then he said, "Good things come to those who wait, darling."
And with that, he declared, "First we are going to make you the queen that you are, My Athena! I have a surprise for you tonight."
Then, slowly he lifted my dress back over my delicate trembling body. I heard my zipper going up once more.
A tear rolled down my cheek. He wiped it off tenderly and said: "Come, darling."
I wondered what he had in store, I wanted to ask questions, but once again, I was tongue-tied.
This outfit will not do, tonight's party is a celebration babe," he declared taking my hand and ushering me into his awaiting chauffeur driven Silver Mercedes.
"Tell Versace my wife and I are on our way," Prince said to Henry.
Right away boss and with that, we headed over to Versace.
The designer beamed once he saw Prince. He said he had a room filled with clothing made exclusively for me.
I followed behind Prince as he led us into this fantastic room filled with bespoke dresses!
Seen everything took me back to when we first met.I Couldn't believe that the man still in pain could go out of his way to do all of this for me, it felt incredibly magical.
Prince looked at me and said "you like it? Would it work for tonight's party?"
I said "yes definitely"
Prince smiled and said "that's good because I want you to look stunning today as always."
I thought the designer was excellent because he was very hands on, helping me with the fit.
I tried on a couple of others. Once I walked out of the dressing room in the final one.
He said: "Perfect! This is what you need,"
It was a silky black dress which fit my form perfectly. As we walked out of Versace's showroom armed with my stunning gown, Prince held my hand. I smiled and got in the car letting go of Prince's hand, when all of a sudden, prince looked up and noticed a woman holding a bunch of roses.
She threw the roses at him. Stunned at this strange gesture he hurried into the car. Chuck got the lady out-of-the-way while hairy turned on the vehicle's ignition.
And in an instant we were off!
Still shocked from that encounter, I asked prince "What was that?"
He shrugged his shoulders "A fan?".
We both laughed at the incident.
We made it over to Paisley pretty quickly, and I was quite pleased.
To see the purple flood lights lighting up the entire property.And of course the lights at the top of his building signified Prince was back home.
Just as I got out of the car, my mother called to ask if I heard Prince was out of the hospital.
I said "yes he's right here with me."
"OH" She said. "that's nice". Then I mentioned the party and if she could bring Nate over.
She responded: "A party are you guys out of your mind."
Then she asked if it was it crazy.
I said softly "no".
I knew better than to respond to mom about this party. It wouldn't make sense to her.
"Could you please bring Nate over?"
mom she kept quiet for a moment, and then she said you know what we're heading over there right now!"
Prince took the phone from me and said to her, "hey the best mom in law. I am great, if you could bring Nate over that would be excellent. it's a special night for me. It's my come back night. I have a lot to celebrate"
Honestly, I thought it was a little too soon but what did I know? My excitement at being back in the limelight with my genius Prince overwhelmed my reasoning.
But that was soon to change as we stepped out the car, who did I see staring me in the face?
The last person I wanted to ever see you again in my life Trembling and shocked, I asked:
"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here!" Anger seething through my bones then I turned around. "And what are they doing here as well?" My eyes widened... what next?
