(Seven Years Later)
Third Person P.O.V
The summer season is almost over and students prepare for the new semester at Beacon Academy. They're either relaxing with friends, going on adventures, buying school supplies and other things, or like most students trying to finish their summer homework they forgot to do. A certain team was no exception to this as they all scrambled to get books and notes to help them finish their homework. Three of the four members blamed their leader for getting them in that predicament, since she was the one who drag them everyday to go clothes shopping or other things she wanted to do.
They all decided to go to the school's library to work the whole day to do their homework, they split up to get the books they needed. A certain rabbit Faunus was walking by shelves of books looking for books about Dust, she didn't notice the person in front of her carrying large stack of books. They both collided into each other sending the books into the air and landing all over the floor. They both fell to the ground groaning in pain for a moment before looking at each other, making eye contact with one another.
?????: "Sorry about that Bun Bun I didn't see you there. I just hope you're not hopping mad at me." someone in a (F/c) hooded cloak with the hood up, (H/c) hair in a long braid, and black eye patch on his right eye said to the female rabbit Faunus with a smirk on his face.
Velvet P.O.V
I giggled at the pun he told to me, he always tries to make light of a situation by making a joke. I stop giggling when he stood up offering me a hand up, which I accepted.
Me: "It was my fault too (Y/n), I should've been more careful." I said to him as we both started picking up the books on the ground.
(Y/n): "Well since you're feeling like it's your fault, then you can help me carry these to my table." he replied with his smile. I nodded to him and began walking side by side with him to his table.
(Y/n) and I became friends during my first year of Beacon, at first he was a bit hostile to me until he notice how shy and timid I was. He softened up a bit until one day he saw a group of people bullying and harassing me, let just say they won't be doing that again. I'm the only person (Y/n) really opened up to in Beacon besides the teachers and Professor Ozpin. I tried on several occasions to have (Y/n) become friends with everyone on my team, but he said he didn't want to get close to a lot of people. But when he said that I swore he looked a bit sad about it, but I didn't want to push it.
We got to his table and set the books down into a pile and when we finished we went back to the get books about Dust.
(Y/n): "So Bun Bun why are you looking for books about Dust? I mean it's not like you haven't finished your homework or anything." he said while helping me look though the shelfs for the books I needed, I couldn't help but laugh nervously.
Me: "Well actually the thing is, Coco may or may have not taken our entire team cloths shopping and other things all summer long." I said to (Y/n) who looked at me in shock before looking down sighing and pinching the bridge of his nose.
(Y/n): "You're lucky that I like you because if I didn't, I would've left you to deal with this by yourself, if I didn't you know that right?" he told me a bit annoyed as he pulled out a book about Dust and handing it to me.
Me: "I'm really sorry for a inconvenience to you (Y/n)." I said to him in a rather sad tone looking down.
Me: "If you like I can stop being a bo-" I was caught off mid-sentence when I felt a hand on my hand rub my head, I looked up to see (Y/n) with a kind smile.
(Y/n): "You're never bother to me, just remember to text or call out to me if you need help." he said reassuring me that I wouldn't be a bother.
It was funny having someone shorter and younger than me by a bit rubbing my head and cheering me up when it should be the other way around. But the moment quickly went away as it appeared, when someone at the end of the aisle spoke up.
?????: "Well well well here I thought you were getting books for our homework Velvet and here I find you having a secret rendezvous with someone I never seen before." they said to me.
When I looked to the source of the voice I saw Coco leaning against a shelf lowering her aviators checking out (Y/n) before looking back to me smirking.
Coco: "I have to say Velvet you sure know how to pick them, such a cutie. But I never thought you like guys younger and shorter than you." She said teasing me and I felt (Y/n) hand disappear from my head.
Me: "That's not how it is Coco, (Y/n) and I are just close friends since my first year here. We're F.R.I.E.N.D.S friends." I said to Coco to try to clear up the misunderstanding, but I think it backfired judging by her smirk becoming a close eye grin.
Coco: "Oh! So you're saying that saying that he's available and since you insist that you're just friends then you wouldn't mind I start hitting on him do you?" she said to me smiling before walking over to (Y/n) looking down at him.
Coco: "What do you say we go clothes shopping together to get more acquainted with one another." she said to (Y/n) winking at him.
When I looked at (Y/n) to see what his reaction would be or what he would say, but all he did was give Coco a very cold stare, it looked like he wanted to do something very bad to Coco. Coco seemed to be taken aback from this, not saying I blame her since I had a similar first encounter with him. He seemed to take a deep breath before looking at me and his eyes seemed to warm up when he looked at me. He gave me a soft smile before speaking.
(Y/n): "I'll talk to you later Bun Bun, remember if you need anything don't be shy to ask. See you later." that was all he said before walking away.
When I looked back to Coco she seemed to be frozen in place, I couldn't help but chuckle at this since this is how most people react to when they meet (Y/n). I manage to snap Coco out of her frozen state when I whispered into her ear about there being a sale at her favorite store. She snap out of it and once she realized what had happened she looked at me with a look that said 'care to explain what just happened'.
Me: "Don't worry about it Coco, he's like that with everyone he meets or already knows. There are only a few people he doesn't act hostile too." I said trying to get her to give up on hitting on him.
Coco: "Oh I get it now!" I sighed in relief thanking Oum that she finally understood that (Y/n) doesn't like socializing or people in general.
Coco: "He's just playing hard to get and I like that, it's more of a challenge that way. Now Velvet let's get back to Fox and Yatsuhashi and on the way you can tell me everything you know about your little friend." she told me while wrapping her arm around my shoulders.
She started leading me back to our table while bombarding me with questions about (Y/n) like where he's from, what's his likes and dislikes, and what kind of clothes he likes. I tried my best to answer her questions, but there was only so much I know about him. When we got to the table I pulled out a chair and rested my head on the table groaning.
Yatsuhashi: "Are you alright Velvet? You seemed to be troubled, what's wrong?" he asked me with concern look.
Fox: "If someone is bullying you again just tell us and Yatsuhashi and I will handle it." he told me with a reassuring smile.
Me: "It's Coco. She's been asking me a lot of questions about someone I know so she flirt with him better. I tried to tell her that he's hostile to everyone and doesn't like people at all except a few but..." I was telling them while pointing to Coco.
All three of us all looked to Coco who was looking at her mirror pretending it was (Y/n) while saying different kinds of flirting styles, we all sweatdropped to what she was doing. They both look at each other before looking at me.
Yatsuhashi & Fox: "What happened?" they both asked me at the same time.
Me: "It's a long story." I told them while rubbing my neck nervously.

I was helping all the teachers at Beacon organize for the new semester. It was the least I could do ever since Ozpin took me in and watched over me, he would ask me to do things for him that wasn't to much to ask for. Like help clean the school, assist the teachers in class, go with students on missions as a support, go into the criminal underworld to gather information or keep an eye out for anyone suspicious. You know simple things like that, I finished helping everyone but Miss Goodwitch. I'm currently patrolling the city of Vale at night with Miss Goodwitch, looking for anything out of the ordinary or for criminals.
We were moving around on rooftops to get a better view on our surrounding area's, she would use her semblance to levitate herself to another roof while I used the weapon I made at Signal to get across. My weapon was basically leather gloves with steel claws, they both have reels on the back of the gloves that store my blood wires. By doing that I won't accidentally use too much of my blood, since I can't handle blood lost right now. The blood wires are attached to the steel claws, so when I launch them it's more accurate compared to not using it. Professor Port decided to give me the nickname "Puppeteer" since I tend to wrap my foe in my wires to immobile them and move my fingers control them. But since I don't want anyone to see what kind of weapon I have, I tend to keep them hidden in (F/c) so no one can see what i'm using or doing.
Suddenly I saw Miss Goodwitch stop on a roof and I landed next to her reeling in my blood. Miss Goodwitch and I didn't really start on the best terms, if Ozpin wasn't there with us on the first few months we most likely would've fought each other on school grounds. But we manage to patch things up after my first year, now she tolerates me to a certain extent, but dislikes what I have to do for survival when I have no control over it. She looked at me with blank look before speaking up.
Goodwitch: "(Y/n) are you all ready to start your first year at Beacon? Ozpin is expecting good things from you and so am I." she told me while crossing her arms.
Me: "I'm as ready as i'll ever be, i'm more excited to see all the planning I helped with for this Vytal Festival come to life. Now that I think about it maybe I can add a few more things to really make the Vytal Festival come to life you know!" I told Miss Goodwitch with stars in my eyes, earning a small sigh and smile from her.
Goodwitch: "That's not what I mean by are you ready. I mean are you ready to socialize with other people, make friends, being apart of team, and...being around more people in general." she told me and my excitement turn to annoyance.
(Y/n): "Why do I need to make friends with humans and Faunus? I don't need to make anymore friends, I have Bun Bun, Angel, Qrow's hyperactive niece, Qrow, the teachers of Beacon, Professor Ozpin and Lionheart and...well you get the point I have enough friends and don't need more." I said trying to convince her that I didn't need to know anyone else.
Ozpin and Goodwitch both know I can't stand humans and Faunus, it's not like I had a bad experience with them except for one occasion. It's just I can't stand them, whenever I'm near them, smell them, or see them I just want to slaughter them, it's a instinct to me. Ozpin told me to keep that myself in check and to not hurt anyone, easier said than done. I need to kill at least one person every month just to keep my bloodlust in check, thankfully Ozpin pulled some strings so I can kill people who are sentenced to death.
Goodwitch: "Just try to act like a normal person, even if you don't want too. You just gotta suck it up and get do it, if not you'll be alone forever." she told me bluntly.
I understood what she means and her intentions are good, but if I let people get to close to me they could betray me. Besides if I do make friends and if they find out what I am and what I do/did in my life than they wouldn't want to be anywhere near me. I try to keep things about me a secret unless it's Ozpin, in which case I'm a open book.
I looked to Miss Goodwitch who was expecting a reply from me, I just sighed, and took a deep breath.
Me: "Fine! I'll try to make ONE friend and I'll see how well that goes! If it does than maybe and I mean maybe I'll try to make more friends ok?" I asked her.
She smiled and began rubbing my head earning a pout from me. Before I could start yell at her for treating me like a kid, we both heard the sound of gunfire and explosions. She gave me a serious look that said 'get ready?', which I nodded before taking off to the sound of the battle.
I was getting closer and closer to the sound of gunfire then suddenly I heard a Bullhead ahead of me. I didn't know what was happening, but all I know is things just got serious. I finally manage to get to a rooftop that overlooked a Bullhead and two people on a roof, Roman was there for some reason. Roman Torchwick name has been circulating a lot in the criminal underworld, he's an odd one who only cares for money and himself. Then there was the other person, a girl with black short black hair, wearing a black and red outfit, wielding a big scythe. But what caught my attention was her red cloak, it seemed so familiar and the scythe reminded me of Qrow's a bit. Suddenly Roman climbed up into the Bullhead before turning around to face the girl.
Roman: "End of the line Red!" I heard Roman yell to the girl who I assume is red.
He then throw a red Dusk crystal towards the girl, landing in front of her. Then he lifted up his cane and shot towards the crystal, I didn't want to watch any longer since Goodwitch would have my neck if I just stand in the sidelines. So I jump in front of her using my blood wires to form wall protecting us from the blast.
Ruby P.O.V
?????: "Whoa-ho-ho! Huh?" I heard the ginger guy yell out loud.
When I looked up I saw someone in front of me wearing a (F/c) hooded cloak with the hood up . Then I saw a strange wall red wire in front of us, before it started to retract into the hooded person cloak. All of a sudden another person floated down next to the hooded person, it was a Huntress!
?????: "Well it appears it's i'm out of my league, not really a long range fighter." the hooded person said to the Huntress, who sighed.
The hooded person sounded like a boy.
Huntress: "This is why I tell you to get a range weapon like a gun. You need to be prepare for all forms of combat when on the field." she said to the boy lecturing him.
?????: "Hey! You know I hate guns since most of my missions require stealth! I can't have a weapon that loud enough to be heard from across a town! Anyway let's get to it!" the boy replied to the Huntress.
Goodwitch: "Hm! Fine we'll discuss this later, so protect the girl while I deal with this." she told the boy who nodded.
Suddenly she launched several purple attacks at the Bullhead hitting every shot, which caused it to be knocked around. After a brief moment the Bullhead manage to balance itself. But the huntress wasn't finished launched a purple light above the Bullhead creating a storm! It was so cool! She then started raining down ice shards from the storm onto the Bullhead causing a lot of damage.
Then someone appeared from the the open hatch of the Bullhead launching a fireball towards the Huntress who blocked the attack. But the remains of the fireball that spread on the ground underneath the Huntress started to glow into a bright light, the huntress didn't hesitate and jumped away right before an explosion erupted from where she was previously standing. The huntress then started forming a large spear with the debris the explosion made, then launching it towards the Bullhead. But the person in the open hatch shoot more fireballs making the debris scatter, this didn't stop it. It reformed at went flying at the Bullhead once again, only for the Bullhead to tilt causing the spear to bounce off. All of a sudden the spear of debris became three, all of them flying around the Bullhead. But a sudden blast erupted from the Bullhead, destroying all the spears made of debris.
I couldn't just stand there not doing anything like a damsel in distress. This is my chance to prove I have what it takes to become a Huntress, I quickly looked over to the boy in front of me. I tapped him on his shoulder and I could've swore he shivered, he looked back at me smiling with his eyebrow twitching, but his eyes suddenly widen when. Now that I get a better look of his face he seems strangely familiar, he wearing black eye patch over his right eye, but his left eye was pretty, it was red like a rose. He has long (H/c) hair in a braid.
?????: "Y-Yes what do you need?" he seemed to feel uncomfortable talking to me for some reason.
Me: "Um do you mind if I can help? I won't get close I swear, i'll just shoot!" I told him trying to convince him.
He looked at me questionably raising an eyebrow, he just shrugged and moved aside standing next to me. He gave me a look that said 'go for it'. I smiled at him before shooting at the Bullhead, but ever shot was blocked. All of a sudden the ground started to glow and I felt something tied around my waist, I quickly looked down to see red wires wrapped around me. The wires pulled me hard away from the area right before it exploded, I fell to the ground and felt the wires unwrap itself. I looked up to the the boy and Huntress looking at the Bullhead flying away. The huntress then looked to the boy.
Huntress: "I need you to inform him of the situa-" she tried to tell the boy only to be cut off.
?????: "Already on it don't worry, you deal with her, while I do some explaining." the boy said with a Scroll out before walking away.
Me: "You're a Huntress! Can I have your autograph?" I asked the Huntress nicely.
I hoped she'll give me a autograph, but she was only glaring at me until she told me to follow her. I never got the autograph though.

I soon found myself sitting at a table in a interrogation room at the Vale police station, being lectured by the huntress, while the boy on the other side of me playing with his red wires.
Huntress: "I hope you realize that your actions tonight will not be taken lightly, young lady! You put yourself and others in great danger." she told me while pacing around the room.
Me: "They started it!" I retorted to her.
?????: "Geez why are you scolding the poor girl when she single handedly stop a robbery until we showed up. I mean sure she could've been a little more...careful with private property, but things happen." the boy said defending me only to be hit on the head by the Huntress.
Huntress: "And don't get me started with you! Not only were you unless in the fight, but you allowed her to put herself into further danger!" she yelled at him.
?????: "To be fair you said to protect her which I did, besides she made up for up for me since I was unable to fight." the boy said while rubbing his head where he got hit.
The both of them then began to glare at each other before arguing back and forth, I could easily see them as mother and son having a argument. Then the two of them finally stop and the Huntress continued to talk.
Huntress: "If it were up to me, you'd be sent home. With a pat on the back." she told me as she walked in front of me. Making me smile happily.
Huntress: "And a slap on the wrist." she told me while sticking her riding crop in front of me, causing me to shriek and to move away from where she strike.
Huntress: "But...there is someone here who would like to meet you." she informed me causing me to become curious on who it is.
When I looked over to the boy who was giving me two thumbs up before standing up and walking over to the door to open it. When he opened it someone came through holding a plate of cookies and a mug, I tried my best to not drool. But the older looking man came in was wearing a black and green outfit with black glasses, he had gray hair, I swear I know him.
?????: "Good evening I hope we weren't interrupting you with anything important." the boy said to the older man.
?????: Don't worry (Y/n) I was merely getting the last of the paperwork in order." he said to the boy.
(Y/n)? That name sounds familiar, but I can't remember where I heard it from. But I didn't get the chance to really think about it since the older man came closer to me
?????: "Ruby Rose."
The older man said while leaning in a bit too close to me, it was actually kinda freaking me out.
?????: "You...have silver eyes." the older man said to me.
I didn't know what to say to that, it was kinda weird to point out.
Me: "Um..." I said unable to really think of a way to reply to what he said.
?????: "So! Where did you learn to do this?" he asked me while the huntress was showing a video of me fighting, (Y/n) went back to playing with his wires.
Me: "S-Signal Academy." I told him honestly.
When I said that I caught (Y/n) attention, he was looking at me like a hawk now. He seemed interested in the conversation now.
?????: "They taught you to use one of the most dangerous weapons ever designed?" the older man asked me.
Me: "Well, one teacher in particular." I told him
?????: "I see..." was all the older man said before placing the plate of cookies in front of me.
I looked up to all of them before slowly taking a cookie and eating it. It tasted so good that I couldn't control myself any longer, I started eating the rest of the cookies none stop.
?????: "It's just that i've only seen one other scythe-wielder of that skill before. A dusty, old crow. Isn't that right (Y/n)?" he said out loud earning a chuckle from (Y/n).
Me: "Mmmm! Thash muh unkul!" I tried to tell them, but it came out muffled with the cookies in my mouth.
The older man looked to (Y/n) to see if understood me, but he only shrugged. He looked back to me, and I quickly wiped away the crumbs on my mouth with my hand.
Me: "Sorry. That's my uncle Qrow! He's a teacher at Signal! I was complete garbage before he took me under his wing. And now i'm all like-- Hoowaaah! Witchaaa!" I told the older man while doing karate moves, but (Y/n) had his jaw dropped for some reason before chuckling and mumbling to himself.
?????: "So i've noticed. And what is an adorable girl such as yourself doing at a school designed to train warriors?" the older man asked me curiously.
Me: "Well...I want to be a Huntress." I answered him, while he took a seat.
?????: "You want to slay monsters?" he questioned me.
Me: "Yeah! I only have two more years of training left at Signal! And then I'm going to apply to Beacon! You see, my sister's starting there this year, and she's trying to become a Huntress, and I'm trying to become a Huntress 'cause I wanna help people." I told him, while speeding up.
Me: "My parents always taught us to help others, so I thought, 'Hey, I might as well make a career out of it!' I mean the police are alright, but Huntsman and Huntresses are just so much more romantic and exciting and really, gosh, you know!" I yelled out excitedly.
I looked around to room to see everyone's reaction, the huntress seemed worried, (Y/n) looked like he was trying to hold in a laugh since he was covering his mouth with his cloak, and the older man seemed indifferent. But I finally remembered who he was.
?????: "...Do you know who I am?" he asked me.
Me: "You're Professor Ozpin. You're the headmaster of Beacon." I answered him calmly. Earning a smile from him.
Professor Ozpin: "Hello." he greeted me.
Me: "Nice to meet you." I greeted back.
Professor Ozpin: "You want to come to my school?" he asked me.
Ruby: "More than anything." I answered him honestly.
He looked towards the huntress who looked away rolling her eyes and then to (Y/n), who was smiling giving Professor Ozpin a thumbs up. Professor Ozpin and (y/n) looked at me smiling.
Professor Ozpin: "Well okay." he told me
I couldn't believed it, I was accepted into Beacon by the headmaster himself. I could die happy now, but suddenly Professor Ozpin looked to (Y/n).
Professor Ozpin: "(Y/n) since you already know Miss Rose, I would like you to inform her of everything she needs to know about Beacon. If she has any questions, you will answer them to the best of your abilities. Understood?" he asked (Y/n).
(Y/n): "Understood now!" he looked at me while pointing his finger at me.
(Y/n): "It's been far too long Little Rose, how have you been?" he asked me.
When he called me Little Rose I couldn't help but remembered I hearing it before. He pulled down his hood and looked at me with a smile. I looked at him closely, he has (S/c) skin, red eyes, a eye patch on his right eye, and red wires that...he controls...and makes it transforms!
(Five Years Ago)
Dad and me were going to pay Uncle Qrow a visit, since he just got back to Patch from his mission. I couldn't wait to hear about his adventure, dad didn't really want to go see uncle Qrow, but he didn't want to leave me alone with him. He said he didn't want him do or say anything inappropriate in front of me, but I can handle it because i'm ten and I drink milk. So that means i'm a big kid.
Yang didn't come because she hanging out with all her friends today, but that's ok since that means I get to hang out with uncle Qrow all to myself. Before Uncle Qrow left for his mission he promised me that he'll start teaching me how to use a scythe. I know I should've let him rest since he just got back, but I could help myself.
After walking for several minutes I spotted Uncle Qrow's house, it wasn't that biggest and not the nicest looking house with the holes in the roof and walls. But you'll get used to it after a while. When we were getting close to his house I saw him sleeping on a chair on the porch. But dad and me stopped when we saw boy leave the house with a bucket in his left hand, he was looking at us not moving. He was wearing a plain white shirt with red wires around the sleeves and shorts, it looked like he had short (H/c) hair and (S/c). I was about to walk towards him, but dad stop me with his hand before walking ahead.
Dad: "Umm excuse me but who are you and what are you doing here kid? Are you lost or something?" dad asked him.
But he didn't respond to dad instead he walked over to Uncle Qrow and threw the water that was in the bucket at him. Uncle Qrow woke up almost immediately yelling out in annoyance, he looked over to the boy.
Uncle Qrow: "What was that for kid?! I was just about to get the best part of the dream, there were so many mini skir-" Uncle Qrow couldn't finish yelling at the boy since the boy threw the bucket at his head.
Uncle Qrow dodged it by flipping backwards and using the chair as a shield.
?????: "For the past hour I kept hearing mumbling about your stupid dream you pervert!" the boy yelled at Uncle Qrow.
?????: "Anyway you have human friends or whatever here to see you or something. I'm going to the backyard if you need me." the boy said to Uncle Qrow before going back inside.
Uncle Qrow looked at us and waved us over, while he brought out his flask taking a drink. Dad and me walked over to where he was, he was sitting on the edge of the porch which was now wet because if him. When we were next to him I quickly ran to him hugging him, he hugged back, but I than regretted it. Now my clothes were wet and Uncle Qrow laughed nervously.
Dad: "So Qrow who's the kid? He's not yours is he?" dad asked Uncle Qrow.
Uncle Qrow: "Nah he's not mine, just looking after him for a while for Ozpin. He wants me to get him to open up a bit to other people. Kid hates almost everyone he meets almost immediately and refuses to be socialize with anyone for long. So the kid doesn't have friends except for one, but she lives in Atlas." he told Dad while rubbing my head.
They then began to talk to each other quietly, I couldn't hear them so I decided to make friends the boy. If he doesn't have friends than i'll be his best friend, 'cause you know I kinda don't have friends. The other kids think it's weird that I really like weapons and don't talk to me or play with me. So it's perfect, we'll be each other's friends.
I began to walking to the backyard to see what he was doing, only to see him sitting on the ground in backyard. I decided to watch from the side of the house to see what he was going to do, he lifted his right hand like he was holding something. Then suddenly the red wire around his right sleeve started moving towards his hand quickly and started forming something, after brief moment it made thin red spear. With that he began going into different stances and thrusting the spear several times doing multiple combos for a few minutes and ended it by throwing it fifthteen yards across the backyard hitting dead center of a tree. I was in awe on how cool it was that he could make a weapon with just a wire, but when I looked closer at the spear, there was a wire attach to it. I followed the wire with my eyes to see it as attach to his hands, who was holding his head with his left hand and staggering a bit.
He suddenly fell onto his knees with his right hand on the ground and left hand still holding his head. I quickly ran to him to see if he was alright, but when I was about to reach him, I heard him saying to go away. I ignored him by continuing to head towards him and was shocked to see what's happening to him. He's (S/c) skin was now extremely pale and he is sweating a lot, he tried to push me away, but it was like he didn't have the energy to move. So I grab a hold of his left arm and put it around my neck, I stood up trying to support him, but he was heavy. He looked at me with a look of disbelief before it turn into a look of anger.
?????: "What's your endgame? You going to help me a little before dropping me on the ground and laugh?" he asked me with venom in his voice.
Me: "What? No! I'm just trying to help you, why would you even say something like that?" I asked him
?????: "He...he..he... you'll be surprised...how people act to one another. Why are you... helping me ...human?" He asked me weakly.
Me: "I...I just want a friend, someone to play with, talk with, hang with, someone to stay with me. All the other kids think i'm weird because I like weapons, that's why they don't want anything to do with me...i'm lonely." I said honestly to him.
He looked at me for a minute before looking away, I guess he doesn't want to be friends with me after all.
?????: "(Y/n)"
Me: "W-What?" I asked him confused.
?????: "My name...is (Y/n). What's yours?" He asked me
Me: "My name is Ruby Rose, nice to meet you (Y/n)." I said smiling at him

(Y/n) and I became the best of friends, at first neither of us really knew what to do, but we manage to figure it at pretty fast. We did all kinds of things like hanging out, playing games, telling each other stories, and playing pranks on dad or Uncle Qrow. One time (Y/n) and me replaced the beer in his flask with vinegar when he was asleep on the couch, he got so mad at us that he tied us to a tree in front of his house, but it was worth it.
But we couldn't play all day since he went to Signal with Uncle Qrow to learn, he made some weird glove thing. I was surprised that he used his wires as a weapon for slicing and trapping, last year I found out that the wires were actually his blood formed into wires. He told me that he isn't used to forming weapons with his blood anymore and if he tired he lose to much blood, he made me promise not to tell anyone. I wanted Yang to meet (Y/n), but he didn't want to since he still doesn't like people so much still. Uncle Qrow said that (Y/n) was quiet and isolated in Signal, never talking to anyone, and glaring them away if they get to close to him. Apparently Yang and (Y/n) are the same age, but they don't have the same class. I think (Y/n) and Yang would get along really well, since (Y/n) really like puns and dad jokes. Dad and (Y/n) didn't get along at all until they found out that they like the same times of jokes, they would go on for hours telling each other jokes, it's funny but it get tiring after a while.
But today (Y/n) is leaving Patch and I don't know when i'll ever see him again, Dad and me were seeing (Y/n) off, Uncle Qrow and Yang weren't there to say by because of a school field trip. I guess Yang never got the chance to meet (Y/n). The boat was about to leave and we were saying our final goodbyes to (Y/n).
(Y/n): "Well it was nice meeting you two, I had a great time here. Take care Mr. Xiao Long it was fun making jokes with you. I'll SEA you around." (Y/n) said to dad while chuckling at his own pun.
Dad: "Come on (Y/n), I told you to call me Tai. I should've SEAn that coming though. Man i'm gonna miss your company, you were kinda the only thing I looked forward to when I take Ruby to see Qrow." dad laughed as he and (Y/n) shook hands.
They both let go of each other's hands and they both looked to me. (Y/n) looked at me confused and I can't blame him since i'm a fidgeting mess with my hands behind my back. Since he was leaving and he's my best friend, I may or may have not got him a goodbye present. Dad said it was cute watching me trying to figure out on what to get him, but it was hard, I wanted it to be perfect. Before I had a chance to talk dad pushed me to (Y/n), who was looking at me curiously. I took a deep breath before shoving a box into his arms.
Me:"IDIDN'TKNOWWHATTOGETYOUSOITHOUGHTMAYBEITWOULDBE COOLIFWEHADSOMETHINGSIMILAR.SOTHATYOUWOULDNEVERFORGETABOUTMEORFEELLONELY!" I said really fast.
(Y/n): "Um...what?" (Y/n) asked me with a sweatdrop on his face, while opening the box.
Me: "I-I didn't know what to get you, so I thought 'Maybe it would be cool if we had something similar'. So that you would never forget about me or feel lonely." I told him more slowly and calmly.
When he looked inside the box and took out what was inside, he pulled out a (F/c) hooded cloak similar to mine. I thought he wouldn't like it, but he suddenly put it on with the hood up. He was smiled at me before pulling me into a hug, I was shock that he would do this since he doesn't really like physical contact, except for handshakes or sparing. But soon i didn't care, I melted into the hug, it felt nice and warm. Like sitting next to fireplace inside a house on a cold winter night. I wish it would last a little longer, but we stop hugging when I heard my dad cough out loud.
(Y/n): "I love it Ruby, I'll make sure to wear it always and to treasure it." he said smiling to me.
Suddenly we heard someone shout "all aboard", we all looked to see that it came from the ship (Y/n) was going to take to Vale. He quickly said his final goodbyes before jogging to the ship in his new cloak. After a few minutes we heard the ship horn go off and the boat began to depart, people on the boat were yelling to the people we know. Then I saw (Y/n) waving to me.
(Y/n): "I better see you at Beacon when you become a Huntress Ruby. I want to see the Little Rose I know bloom into a amazing Huntress, until we meet again." he yelled to me giving me a final goodbye.
(Present Time)
Me: "(Y/n) is that really you?" I asked (Y/n) hoping he was my (Y/n) and not a different one.
(Y/n): "Yup it really is Ruby and I have to say, you definitely bloomed a whole lot since I last say you. I wasn't even sure it was you when I saw you on the roof." he laughed nervously rubbing the back of his head.
I didn't want to wait any longer, I quickly tackled him with a hug using my semblance. I sent us flying into the wall. I didn't want to let go of him, I finally get to see my best friend again.
(Y/n): "Jeez Ruby was it really necessary to use your semblance, I know you miss me and all, but this is a bit much." he said trying to break out of my hold.
Me: "Just...let me stay like this for a bit. Please." I pleaded to him,.
He stopped trying to get out of my grip, but instead he chuckled and began hugging me back. I missed his hug, I forgot how warm it was. After a few minutes I let go and we stood up, we began walking to the skyport so I can get a ride home. We exchanged numbers so I can stay in contact with him and ask questions or just to talk like old times. He gave me a brief introduction about Beacon, he told me about the facilities to the rules. When we got skyport we said our goodbyes, I couldn't believe I get to go to Beacon and I reunited with my best friend.

Yang: "Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" she said loudly while hugging me tightly.
Me: "Please stop." I barely manage to say to Yang.
Yang: "But i'm so proud of you!" she replied happily.
Me: "Really Sis, it was nothing." I tried to convince her.
Yang: "What do you mean? It was incredible! Everyone at Beacon is going to think you're the bee's knees!" she said trying encourage me.
Me: I don't want to be the "bee's knees", okay? I don't wann be any kind of knees! I just want to be a normal girl with normal knees." I told her.
Yang: "What's with you? Aren't you excited?" she asked me.
Me: "Of course I'm excited...I just...I got moved ahead two years. I don't want people to think i'm special or anything." I told her honestly.
Yang: "But you are special Ruby, not only did you single handedly stop a robbery. Your combat skills got recognized my Professor Ozpin himself, besides that you even reunited with your best friend I been hearing so much about." she said trying to reassure me.
Me: "Hehe yeah dad and me think you two would get along nice he likes telling jokes or hearing jokes." I told her since I can't wait to introduce her to (Y/n).
Yang: "Mmmm mama already liking him, hey Ruby you should give me his number. I need see what's he like." she asked me smiling.
Me: "Ok-wait why do you need see what's he lik-" I was about to question her when I was interrupted by a news reporter.
Both Yang and me looked towards the sound the news was coming from.
News Reporter: "The robbery was led by the nefarious criminal Roman Torchwick, who continues to evade authorities. Who continues to evade authorities. If you have any information on his whereabouts, please contact the Vale Police Department. Back to you, Lisa." the reporter informed the audience.
Lisa: "Thank you, Cyril. In other news, this Saturday's Faunus Civil Rights protest turned dark when members of the White Fang disrupted the ceremony. The once peaceful organization has now disrupted-" she was telling the viewers before she was ironically disrupted.
Huntress: "Hello, and welcome to Beacon!" the Huntress from before welcomed us.
Yang: "Who's that?" she asked me.
Goodwitch: "My name is Glynda Goodwitch" she said talking more nicer compared to when I met her.
Yang: "Oh" was all she said since her question was just answered.
Glynda: "You are among a privileged few who have received the honor of being selected to attend this prestigious academy. Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace and as future Huntsman and Huntresses, it is your duty to uphold. You have demonstrated the courage needed for such a task, and now, it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and training to protect our world." she told us before the hologram disappeared.
Me: "Wow! Look, you can see Signal from up here!" I said to Yang.
I couldn't believe how amazing the view of Vale from an airship in the day is, I couldn't believe (Y/n) experience this everyday for the last four years.
Me: "I guess home isn't too far after all!" I told Yang.
Yang: "Beacon's our home, now." she corrected me.
But some blonde hair guy killed the moment when he started holding his mouth making noises, indicating that he was going to throw up.
Yang: "Well...I guess the view isn't for everyone." she told me.
Me: "It was a nice moment while it lasted." I replied to her.
Yang: "I wonder who we're gonna meet." she asked me.
Me: "I just hope they're better than "Vomit Boy". Oh right when you meet (Y/n), he'll be hostile to you. He kinda doesn't like anyone, so please try not to embarass me infront of him or say anything rude. He'll be the one with a (F/c) hooded cloak like mine and he'll probably have this hood up. But if he doesn't than a key feature of his is his eye patch on his right eye. Oh, Yang, gross, you have puke on your shoe!" I told Yang.
Yang: "Gross, gross, gross, gross" she repeatedly said.
Me: "Get away get away! Get away from me!" I yelled at Yang.
This was the start to my life at Beacon, this is going to the best years of my life.
