Eevee was sitting down on the floor with her legs pulled under her so she was resting on top of her legs. Her usual uniform for the academy had been replaced with something semi-dressy, which was simply a white collar shirt with a red tie, not in a bow, a pair of small black shorts with black stockings and small black boots. Her hair was pulled up in her signature style of twin tails and both fell loosely around her shoulders.

She was bent forward, towards the table, her nose buried into a pile of books that were scattered at every edge. Her left hand holding on tightly to a pencil as she wrote what she thought was important to know of what she was reading. Needless to say, there was hardly anything written on the paper but mindless doodles. Doodles of an asymmetrical Kid.

“. . . .that is not how you draw!”

“I'm not drawing,” Eevee pulled her notebook away from Kid, “I'm studying.”

“What did you draw me in?!”

“Um. . .you're a nekomimi.” Eevee pulled the notebook up and turned it to face Kid. She had drawn him in chibi style with a cat tail and ears, but one of the ears had a small skull. “You look cute as a kitty.”

“Stop that!”

Eevee pulled away.

“Give that to me!” Kid yelled at her, but Eeve dove to the left. “Hand it over!”

“It's my master piece.”

“It's an abomination!”

Eevee pouted and jumped back on the bed that was behind her. “You aren't very nice.”

Kid scream in terror and his face paled as Eevee messed his perfectly tucked sheets on the bed. She held the note book above her head and waved it to one side and the other as she began to jump on the bed. Still paled by the matter, Kid didn't know what to do. Should he risk messing up the bed even more and tackle Eevee, or should he find a way to get her down from the bed without messing something else.

“A truce,” he said and trying to maintain his composure to show Eevee that he was serious. “I call a truce for what I did to you flat. Just – just get off my bed!”

“Not until you say what the truce will be.” Eevee jumped once and Kid panicked as she ended up cross legged in the middle of the bed. “Let me stay in your room until Curran find a place we can stay. You can stay in the guest room,” she finished before Kid could as if she meant to stay with him.

“It's my room.”

“And it was my flat,” she countered. “But what did you have in mind. I mean besides continuing with your date play.”

Kid felt his face sweating as he watched Eevee pulling at the sheets on his bed creating small fists in them. They were longer on one side of the bed than the other and Eevee had taken hold of the pillow and seem to me threatening to pull the strings out by the way she was clawing at it. Kid was to occupied watching her in horror to say anything back to her about her truce deal.

“Please stop that,” he said softly as if speaking to a cat that would attack him at any moment. “I'll do anything you say, just leave my room alone!”

“You tricked me.” Eevee told him and Kid knew exactly what she was taking about because he quickly averted his eyes and blushed slightly. “You said just one day. One full day and you would leave me alone.”

“Yes, but it's impossible to be together twenty four hours. Eight days and three hours a day is enough.” he gave her a nervous smile as she was still squeezing the pillow really hard. “Eevee. Please don't destroy my perfectly symmetrical room.”

They stared at each other, Eevee still crossed legged on the middle of the bed and holding a pillow, while kid as semi crouched on the end of the bed trying to keep from making any rash movements. He stayed glaring at Eevee with an intense look as Eevee have him a calm and serene look and hugged the pillow closely. Something told him she was waiting for him to make a move so she would have an excuse to rip the pillow open. He wasn't going to give her that reason.

“Put the pillow. . .” his eyes looked on her twin tails. The right one. The right one was coming down and was making her style uneven!

Eevee gave Kid a confused too seeing as he had stopped moving, his face became even more pale, and he looked to be dying without her having to do anything. She began to move and shift her body to be sitting her her legs instead of sitting cross legged. Leaning in forward still hugging the pillow, she noticed that what Kid was looking at was not her but at the twin tails that she wore.

“Are you dead – Kyah!”

“It's unacceptable!”

As Eevee had leaned further in Kid's directing she had only been about two feet away before Kid tackled her into the bed. She had slammed the pillow into his stomach and cause feather to come flying out, but the sudden mess didn't face Kid at all. He was too busy taking hold of Eevee's tails and mumbling incoherent things as he trying to fix them as Eevee struggled against his body.

Eevee's body was trapped under Kid's body, him have each leg beside her body, his hands holding on tightly on to her twin tails. Eevee's hands wrapped around Kid's wrists and felt his full weight on her when, for some reason, he had decided to sit on her stomach. She let go of his arms and dug her hands into his hair, pulling it back to see if she could stop him, but this only made him pull on her by accident.

Laughter broke their somewhat small fight and made them look at the door panting and trying to catch their breath. Patty was pointing and laughing at them while Liz's eye twitched at the seen. Each of the meister had their hands in the hair of the other, Kid was on top of Eevee, and she was a tad bit red in the face because she had been trying to get Kid off. The two weapons didn'tt have anything to say, and simply asked,

“What're you two doing?”

Silence.

“Studying,” they both answered in unison and the girls closed the door afterwards. The two meister kept their eyes on the door and in second it was kicked in by Liz.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TWO STUDYING?!” Liz yelled dramatically, “EACHOTHER?!”

A pause.

“Maybe.” Kid answered.

Another pause.

And Eevee answered, “I got Kid-napped.”

“WHAT?!” Kid and Liz yelled at the same time. Eevee's declaration taking Kid by surprise as well as Eevee had come to study at his home willingly without a word of protest, yet she had just said she had been napped by Kid. When exactly did she object to him anyway? Never!

“Kid kidnapped me,” Eevee said once more.

“Don't you lie to them,” Kid told her still holding on to her tails and trying to fix them, “You came to study willingly!”

“Ah . . . he won't get of me,” Eevee said in an even, calm voice. “Help.”

“You don't need help!” Eevee wanted to chuckle at his furious face, but kept her cool just to mess with him.

“You know what,” Liz sighed at the door, “I'm not gonna deal with you two anyone. You're just a whole lot of crazy. And you dragged Eevee into all this too.”

“HaHa, Evee blushing! She's blushing! Haha!” Patty was still pointing and laughing.

Eevee's face burned red and went down her neck with no discretion. Her breathe quicken at this fact that Patty had pointed out.

“I am not blushing!”

“Then are you feverish.” Kid pulled her face up and lowered his to rest his forehead on hers. She was burning red at his actions, “Your burning up!”

He hadn't pulled away when he said this and was looking into Eevee's eyes. Liz had pulled Patty out of the room and slammed the door shut, but the two meisters hadn't heard her and were still looking at each other. Eevee's face becoming redder and redder until she felt that she was going to melt the skin on her bones. Her breathing, instead of increasing, felt like it had stopped and was suffocating her with every second Kid held her close. Kid didn't seem to notice this and was simply worried that she was suffering from a fever.

“Eevee?” he asked after she had become paralyzed under his touch. “Are you alright?”

Eevee nodded and started to push away from him. Her hands pushing his chest and forcing him to move back and sit on the edge of the bed as she sat up and buried her face in her hands. She took in slow, even breaths to calm herself and to assure herself that she still knew how to breathe. Kid's sharp golden eyes watching her made every breath she took torture, but she managed and was soon able to breath normally and lose the blush she had.

“I'm fine.” she said when Kid reached for her, but she stopped his hand. “I just need some fresh air. We studied enough for the exam, right?”

Kid blinked his eyes at her and made her bury her face back in her hands as he said, “All you did was doodle.”

“And all you did was stare at me,” she countered and jumped off the bed. “I'm going to buy myself something cold.”

“I'll just bring you something,” Kid offered as he ran to open the door. A gentleman must always open the door for a lady, was what he thought, but Eevee gave him a confused look instead of thanking him like they usually did. “A cold glass of water?”

“Uh, yes – ”

“Wait! Hold it you two,” Liz had come out of nowhere and caused Eevee and Kid to jump apart, “If you're gonna go all berserk on us, stay in Kid's room. We don't want to be dragged into you lover's quarrel.”

“Don't be absurd,” Kid told her, “We never quarrel and I'm just getting Eevee a drink from the kitchen. Go back to whatever it was you were doing and we'll make sure to get right back to studying in my room.”

“We're not lovers.” Eevee clarified.

“Right.” Liz didn't believe him (Eevee wasn't sure if she had ignored her) but left it alone and turned to Eevee. “Oh, and we met Curran not far off. He said to wait for him here and that he would come pick you up at sun down.” Kid complained about this, but Liz hit him in the head. “He doesn't want you walking with Kid back to the Soul's and Maka's flat. Thinks he'll destroy that place too.”

Eevee shrugged her shoulders and walked off with Kid leading the way to the kitchen. The house was huge, it was no shock, and it had a sort of calming affect on her soul. It made her feel too calm and relaxed that she feared she might fall asleep when walking, but every time she saw Kid, that calmness in her would disappear. It was replaced by uncontrollable uneasiness and the feeling of wanting to get away.

Kid opened the door with his left hand and stepped back to leave enough room for Eevee to walk in first. He walked in after her and almost crashed as Eevee had stopped and looked around the kitchen. Her kitchen had been in her living room, she could cook and see the living room table, but in Kid's kitchen she could hardly see the other side of the room. Everything was jumbo sized and that was probably why he was able to throw such elegant parties.

Eevee didn't noticed that Kid had walked off in some random direction and had brought her back a room temperature bottled water. She didn't bother asking, or more like forgot, how Kid had known that she preferred bottle water and in room temperature. Kid then lead her out of the kitchen and to the front entrance, which they had to pass to get to his room, but Eevee stopped following and stared at the door. This caused Kid to stop and walked back to her side but didn't speak until a while after.

“Why are you looking at that door?” He asked and didn't leave Eevee a chance to answer before he started freaking out. “That door isn't symmetrical, is it?! To have you come to my house with an abomination like this!”

“It's not that,” Eevee interrupted his beginning rant. “I want to go outside. I want to have a walk in the city.” she told him.

Kid was ecstatic about what he had just heard. Eevee was the one suggesting to have a walk around the city at this hour, during the setting sun. It was the perfect date, Kid thought, and he wasn't going to let some exam, which he had failed the first time and would again anyway, get in his way. And deciding this on his own and without asking, his hand took hold of Eevee's and he ran out the door while dragging her behind him.

Like that morning when he had 'kidnapped' her from Maka, Eevee didn't utter a word of protest as he dragged her half away across Death City. What he was looking for was the PERFECT romantic scenery that would assure him that Eevee would fall for him that day. A sunset that shone a bit above the whole city, but to get there they had to take several short cuts through the allies. Eevee didn't seem to mind as her hand was still holding on tightly to his. But that might have been because she was afraid she would hurt herself if she let go of him in that speed.

They went left. They went right. Took another right that was the wrong way and did a U turn to the left. Kid threw Eevee over a fence and was on the other side to catch her before she knew what happened. They were running again with Eevee's hand being squeezed more tightly that before now that Kid felt she had started to slip. Still he heard no protest coming from her and even if she had said something the odds of him listening to her were against Eevee.

The maze of allies seem to never end, but the stamina of these two meisters could but an athlete to shame. Eevee was more probable of losing more stamina than Kid, but she was holding on tight to his hand and was using his strength to get around these parts instead of using her own. Then came a part in which, for the first time, they weren't alone and they were able to see three shadows lurking around the corner.

As if knowing who they were, Eevee tackled Kid into another ally way and claps her hands on his mouth. She was all but sitting on him with her face close but looking back at the shadows and not paying any attention of how close she was to Kid. He, Kid, had turn beat red from head to toe and wouldn't utter a word even if she was covering his mouth. He never thought his perfect sunset scenery date would turn out into this; Eevee attacking him and preventing him from getting up and speaking. It was a magnificent date! Until Eevee mumbled a word than he'd grown to hate more day by day.

“Curran?”

Curran? Curran?! Was that Kid could think about as Eevee eyes were still looking away from him. That guy was getting in his way in every turn! Even before this, just moments about with Lis, Curran had wanted Eevee to wait for him so she didn't have to was with Kid. Now that Eevee had suggested a walk with him, was holding hands with him, sort of, Curran had to show up and make Eevee hid them both. The nerve of that demon weapon that wanted to control his meister's life!

“Why that –” Kid was interrupted by Eevee jumping on his back and knotting her fingers together and shutting his mouth. He had somehow pushed her off of him and had been walking towards Curran, but he hadn't expected to have Eevee jump on him or for to be holding on tightly to him. She was shaking lightly with a small blush on her cheeks.

“Shh,” Eevee placed a trembling finger on her lips and this gesture made Kid blush. “Don't start a fight for no reason, Kid. He hasn't seen us and we want to keep it that way.”

“But why,” he was skeptical of her reasons.

“Because. . .” she took a second to answer as if thinking, “Because then you won't be able to take me where you were taking me right now.”

Kid didn't believe this one second and knew it had something to do with Eevee wanting to know what Curran was up to with these two strangers, but he didn't pry. Instead Kid gave her shining eyes and a furiously quick nod that made Eevee think his head was about to come off. He stood silently behind Eevee as the both peeked around the edge of the building. Curran hadn't moved an inch and he seemed to be arguing with the two small shadows.

Curran's hands were raised momentarily into the air as if he were yelling at the shadows. Feeling threaten by the larger weapons, the shadows moved back out of the alley and into the light of the setting sun. They where girls, two of them that looked to be sisters with darker hair that Curran's. They glared at him and started flailing their arms around trying to explain something to him that he didn't seem to care for. A tremble went down his back and in second he had struck at the wall behind the girls, a blade of an arm, he had transformed partially, had dug into the building behind them.

“Do you know those two,” Kid asked Eevee who shook her head. “He's met them before. Behind you back.”

Eevee nodded. “It was an accident at first, that I saw them, but a feeling kept tugging at my insides.” she told him. “It's always at a sunset or when the moon is completely out.”

“Kid frowned at the thought of her following Curran around. “So you know he was going to be here?”

“You're the one that brought me here,” she answered. “This is the earliest he's met with them, and the closest they have gotten to the academy. That's where we're going? To the academy?”

“The best place for a perfect sunset scenery of a date!” Kid claimed forgetting about their spying. “You will love it and will enjoy every sunset we pass there together!”

“Every sunset?” Eevee asked.

“Every single one!” Kid announced.

“Event he asymmetrical ones?” Eevee's mouth twitched at the side as if she was wanting to smile.

“Even the. . . NEVER!”

Eevee slammed both her hands on his mouth. “What are you doing?! We're supposed to be stealthy!”

Kid was struggling against her and with each second that the grappled, the closer Eevee got to losing her resolved on being in physical contact with Kid. Her skin was already burning red, her face flushed at the closeness, but still she kept at fighting Kid who was trying everything to go into his rant about symmetry being aesthetically pleasing to the world and other similar nonsenses.

In the struggle of the fight, Eevee and Kid had gotten the attention of Curran and the two females. Curran told them to stay quiet and he started stalking his way to were Eevee had Kid in a headlock and was giving quick orders into his ear. She stopped abruptly and Kid stopped with her noticing she had gone still. He felt it too. It was the faint sign of Curran's soul disappearing from the alley. It was there and then they could no longer feel him.

Eevee jumped back from the entrance of the alley and tacking hold of Kid's hand ran in the opposite direction as quick as her leg could take her. Kid didn't object at all and half way down in their distance he was the one guiding Eevee. Why they were running they weren't sure, but one thing was very clear in their mind as if it was a survival instinct. They had to keep themselves from being noticed by Curran and the those girls.

“Did we lose them?” Kid asked panting as he leaned on the wall next to Eevee.

She was panting too. “We should keep walking. To make sure.” she told him and her face flushed more as she tighten her grip on his hand. “Lets walk to the academy then. Before the sun sets completely and your plan is ruined.”

Kid wasn't as ecstatic as he had been when he first thought of that idea. Eevee wasn't all there any more and even though her mind was somewhere else since the beginning, right now all she could think of was Curran. He frowned. He knew he didn't like that guy from the very start but this added a whole new level his hatred. Curran was the horror of all symmetry! A total slob!

“You're insulting him. The way he dresses all untidy,” she narrowed her eyes at him.

“He should learn how to dress correctly.” Kid said in an insulted tone which made Eevee want to laugh. Curran? Well dress with his tail in and with his belt straight on his waist? Never, it was even laughable. “Are you laughing at me?!”

Eevee clasped her free hand on her mouth to keep from giggling at the image she had of Kid trying to 'fix' Curran. Curran believed beauty was in the imperfection in things while Kid believed that beauty was in perfection. She really didn't care for what beauty was, perfection or imperfection, all she cared for was more of the perfect day, which would be a calm day without any cause of trouble. But of course that didn't seem possible with Kid, Curran, and Black Star.

“You are laughing!” Kid accused. He had stopped and was looking at Eevee as she still held her hand over her. With his free hand, the other was still holding hers, he took her hand away from her mouth and stretched her arms beside her as if trying to turn her into a T.

“What are you laughing at?” He asked, eying her with his golden eyes.

Eevee blinked up at him with her brown ones and her face started to flush. “At you,” she answered with her lips still curdle up slightly in a smile, “You think you can change Curran to your form of perfection when he feels he's perfect because he's imperfect. But I don't think you can get the meaning of that.”

“Sure I can.” he said.

“You can find beauty in imperfection?” Eevee took a step forward to challenge him. Kid had never seen her smile before and even though it was the most lovely of things, he felt that her smile was deadly. “Can you find me beautiful if you take one of my twin tails?”

“With a pony tail is fine.” Kid told her, but she shook her head.

“No pony tail. A side tail.” Her small smile was deadly. She was trying to turn it to a side smile where she would only have the right side of her lips upward.

Kid headbutted Eevee and made her wince before she could actually formed her side smile. It looked like she was having trouble doing so and he took that chance to stop her. Hurting her wasn't his plan, but he also didn't want to let go of her hands, which were now being held down as if they were just holding hands while standing in front of one another.

Eevee didn't open her eyes for a while after being hit and simply felt that Kid hadn't moved back. He still had his forehead on hers and was fairly close while still holding her hands. Her heart started to beat fast and she could swear Kid could hear it to. Heat began to built in her body and she started to tremble. It was too much for her, their closeness and the physical contact. She was sure he knew that she couldn't stand the physical contact or maybe he just forgot.

She opened her eyes and was instantly met with Kid's golden gaze. Her trembling picked up as she started to pull away and Kid stopped her. His forehead still on her wasn't allowing her to move her face away from his and so Eevee kept on looking into his gold eyes.

“Kid,” she mumbled and shut her eyes tight. “I –”

“What the hell are you doing to Eevee?!” Curran's voice broke the two meisters apart. He had appeared without them noticing and pulled Eevee back by the shoulder. “Don't touch my meister you perfect freak!”

Kid glared and was about to say something before Eevee pulled Curran back and stood in between them looking at Curran.

“We were on a date.” she told him in a flat tone. “I told you the date would be split in eight days.”

“I was on my way to pick you up.” Curran was still glaring at Kid and then looked at Eevee, “I told Liz to tell you to wait there. What're you doing in a dark alley with the sun setting and with this psychopath that's obsessed with you?”

“I'm not a psychopath you lunatic!” Kid yelled back. “Eevee suggested a sunset walk and it only befitting of a gentlemen to listen to his goddess.”

“I'm not your goddess,” Eevee mumbled.

Curran was trying to push passed Eevee to get to Kid, but he was finding it a hard thing to do. He'd never seen her act this way. Eevee was always on his side and would never side with anyone else but him. That's why they were the perfect pair, but now that Kid had showed up and taken her time until there was nothing left for him, it was pissing him off.

“How did you find us?” Eevee's voice brought him back from his rage directed at Kid. She was looking at him questionably. “No one knew where we were going but Kid. How did you find us so fast if you said you would pick me up at sun down?”

Kid smirked. That was one way of asking directly what he was doing with those two girls without actually asking. But the look in his eyes let him know that Currann probably had a perfect cover up.

“I saw you being lead by Kid,” Curran glared, “holding your hand.”

“That's what you do on dates,” Eevee answered and Kid began to feel uncomfortable. There was something else going on that was making Eevee give snappy remarks to her weapon partner.

“Eevee,” Kid took hold of her hand again and watched as Curran missed matched eyes glared at him. “Let's go before we miss it.”

“Go where,” Curran demanded taking hold of Eevee's other hand. She snatched it away and gave him a glare of her own.

“To finish out date correctly.” she told him and waled away pulling Kid behind her. “I'll walk back to the flat on my own.”

It was the perfect date like Kid had wanted it to be. Eevee was engrossed in her own thoughts and even though he let him hold her hand, it was like holding the had of a live statue. Her eyes would move from the partially hidden sun to the rising moon. She was the girl he had met at the beginning, quiet and always in her own world.

It was his fault, Kid thought after pondering this, it was Curran's fault that Eevee was the way she was. Since he had, more or less and he would never confess to it, stalked Eevee, she had become more open and maybe a tad bit readable. Now after her fight with Curran she was back to her introverted self and seemed lifeless.

“Eevee – ”

“He wants to change me.” her voice made him jump. Kid hadn't noticed that she actually knew he was setting beside her. “Curran is trying to find a new meister.”

“Is that a fact?” he asked. He didn't want to hurt her and that's why he kept the thought of Curran having another meister being a great idea to himself.

“No, it's not.” she answered sullenly, “But what other reason would he have for meeting those two girls. Their souls don't feel like weapon souls and Curran keeps their meetings a secret. We were always together until he started meeting them.”

Kid wanted to ask more about their relationship because the way they acted towards each other seemed to go farther than that. They both were complaining of the other taking away time with them because they wanted to be with someone else. Curran with those two girl that Eevee thought were meisters, and Eevee, though he liked the idea, was spending time with him instead of Curran.

“You're smiling,” Eevee accused, “You're enjoy this!”

“I'm not!” he told her. “I just like the idea of you warming up to me and spending more time with me.” he was smiling.

Eevee raise a brow. “I should have cut and run,” she mumbled.

They stayed silent for a while and watched as the sun set completely and as the moon replaced it in the sky. Kid turned to look at Eevee and she was still as like statue just looking at the moon without uttering a word. He watched as she blinked twice and then turned to look at him before noticing she was too close and still holding his hand which made her move away. Kid held on tightly t her hand though.

“I don't think he was changing you,” he told her. “If that makes you feel any better.”

“It doesn't,” she answered. “Now I'm curious of what he's up to.”

“I am too,” Kid told her. “But I'm not wasting my dating hour chasing him down. My hours are separate.”

Eevee couldn't help but smile and Kid, watching her still, couldn't help but mimic her actions. “You're stubborn,” she told him. “Almost as stubborn as Black Star, but not quite as annoying.”

“I'm glad to know that. Part of it,” he chuckled. “So, what's the plan.”

“Too not get caught?” she offered. “You're Death's son. We can get away with anything, even death.”

“It doesn't work that way. Please don't to something stupid.”

“I never do stupidity,” she answered. “First thing's first. There's still a week before he meets with them again and there's still a couple of days to the exam. We can confirm out suspicion by using hour studying hour to find something on Curran.”

“Your ditching your studies?!”

“I'm not going to remember anything,” she told him. “And you're going to fail at writing your name. I've heard of your little episode.”

“It was all the fault of the K!”
