I wasn’t sure where he was going to take me. All I knew was that we were heading outside into the woods. The warm Carolina air filled my lungs and made me feel thankful to be outside. As long as I had a place to sleep tonight, I didn’t mind walking through the woods. As we walked, I made sure to stay close enough to Jace to feel protected but no too close to make him think I liked him. I was still furious that he was forcing me to stay with him, but it’s the only place I have to stay.

We walked for about ten minutes until Jace stopped. I looked around but saw nothing that he could possibly want to show me. I gave him a questioning look as I stared at the trees and hills that surrounded me.

            “Close your eyes.” He instructed.

Fighting him was pointless so I closed my eyes, feeling a bit of panic when Jace’s hand grabbed onto my arm. I tensed up but relaxed when I felt sparks flies from his gentle touch. My body loved his touch, but my mind was in another place. I couldn’t be liking Jace, I just met him for crying out loud. Jace led me to the top of a hill and told me to open my eyes. The light was extremely bright at first but once they adjusted, my eyes widened at the sight.

There were thousands of beautiful, purple hyacinths that stretched in every direction. How did I not manage to smell the sweet aroma until now? We were standing on top of a small hill, looking down on all the flowers. My heart wanted to melt right then and there at the sight. It was truly breathtaking.

The sun was still rising, since it was only about ten thirty, and the sun shined through the hundreds of trees mixed in with the flowers. Shadows lingered everywhere, giving off a mystical, yet beautiful scene. A grin appeared on my face as I remembered home, and the garden I had. I had to admit I was homesick, but I wouldn’t go back there, I couldn’t.

“You like it?” Jace questioned, since I had been silent this whole time.

“I love it!” I exclaimed, smiling back at Jace who was already grinning at me.

He sighed, thankful that I loved this place, but how could I not? Jace grabbed my hand and I didn’t protest against him, he pulled me out of my trance and back down the hill. I frowned and said, “Why are we leaving?”
“I have a fun idea for us to do. You need to loosen up some and have fun.” He smirked.

“Hey, I have fun.” I whined.

He shrugged and continued to pull me away from the field of flowers. I already missed the sweet scent that they left as it faded as we walked farther away from them. I was disappointed that we left so soon, but the idea of doing something fun, did spark an interest. The last time I remember actually have real fun with someone was the last time I saw Dillon, which was about three years ago.

As we walked, I stared down at the ground, catching a glimpse of what I was wearing, which was one of Jace’s large shirts and a pair of elastic shorts, which were also big on me. I hated wearing Jace’s clothes. I really needed some clothes of my own.

            “Jace?” I asked.

He kept walking but said, “What, love?”

“As much as I love wearing your clothes, but if I’m going to be staying here awhile I need actual girl clothes.” I said.

“Why? I like it when you wear my clothes.” Jace smirked, looking down at my body. I suddenly felt extremely self conscious about my body.

I frowned, not liking the way Jace was examining me. I dropped his hand from mine and crossed my arms, wanting to cover myself up as much as I could, even though that didn’t really help.

“Alia looks to be the same size as you, so you can have some of her clothes. She already has too many clothes to begin with.” Jace said, sadness in his eyes.

The sadness quickly left his eyes as he stopped suddenly. I looked around and just like last time, there was nothing he could want to do around here. I stared into his beautiful, brown eyes. Wait, did I just saw beautiful? Whether I wanted to admit it or not, I was warming up to Jace. He has been nothing but nice to me today and I couldn’t help but want to melt every time he touched me or even looked at me.

“Want to play a game?” He asked.

            “What game?” I asked, playfully.

He walked over behind the tree and came back over, holding something behind his back. A smirk appeared on my face as I began to wonder what he could be holding. He took his hands from behind is back and I couldn’t help but burst out laughing when I saw what he was holding in his hands. Jace was standing in front of me holding a red Frisbee.

“What?” He asked, clearly holding back his laughter.

“Are you serious? Out of all the games in the world, you pick the one game that dogs play. Could that be any more ironic?” I asked, trying to control my laughter.

“Hey now, if I’m a dog, so are you.” He grinned.

“You are unbelievable.” I smiled, finally being able to hold back my laughter.

I couldn’t believe he wanted to play Frisbee, like how could that not be any more ironic? I had just become a werewolf, and still didn’t want to accept the fact that I was basically a dog. If I told someone that I was like a dog, they would ship me off to a mental hospital for saying that. A smile was plastered on my face as I kept thinking about playing Frisbee with Jace. I had to admit, it did kind of sound fun.

Jace handed me the Frisbee and took off running across from me. He was extremely fast and I knew that’s why I never was able to escape, I couldn’t outrun in my human form. Maybe in my wolf form I could match him, but he was stronger and faster than me in human form.

“So are you going to throw it or are you too cool to play Frisbee?” Jace yelled.

I shook my head, grinning as I threw the Frisbee as hard as I could. I watched as it flew through the air, landing perfectly into Jace’s hands. He threw it back to me, but I had to run for it because it didn’t even come close to me.

“Guess I’m better at Frisbee than you.” I exclaimed, smirking in Jace’s direction.

“Oh no, Love, I just wanted to make you run for it.” He replied back.

This meant war. I threw it back to Jace but it was several feet above his head. He tried to jump for it, but failed miserably. I covered my mouth to keep from laughing out loud at his failure. He ran after the fallen Frisbee and for the next hour or so, we passed the Frisbee back and forth, joking around and laughing so much.

My stomach growled and it had to be about eleven thirty or so. I wanted to get lunch. I threw the Frisbee one last time, and then I would tell Jace I wanted to go eat. I gasped when I realized that Jace wasn’t paying attention and was looking at something in the distance. The Frisbee hit him in the head, causing him to stumble backwards and fall to the ground. I quickly ran over to him, feeling terrible that I hit him. Once I was over there, he was laying in a large puddle of mud. Normally, I would laugh but his eyes were closed and he wasn’t moving.

I didn’t want to step in the mud, but I did it anyways because I was actually terrified that I had knocked him out or something. I knelt down next to him, and shook him slightly. Everything had gone from playful to serious. What was I going to do if I had knocked him out?

“Jace, are you okay?” I asked, softly.

He still didn’t move. His body was sinking slowly into the mud and I started to worry even more. What if I had killed him or something? There was no way I killed him by just hitting him with a Frisbee, I was just being stupid. I went down to check a pulse, just to make sure he was still alive when his hand clasped onto my wrist.

Before I knew it, I was yanked into the mud, being covered from head to toe in gooey, mushy, brown mud. Jace sat up from the mud, an amused smirk on his face. My mouth hung open in shock. He had been playing me this whole time.

“Careful, you wouldn’t want to get mud in your mouth.” Jace bursted out laughing as he glanced over my mud covered body.

“I hate you. You had me freaking out. I thought I knocked you out or something.” I snarled, smacking him in the chest. I crossed my arms as I frowned, furious at him for making me think I had hurt him and for pulling me into the mud.

“Aw, does Izzy actually care about me?” Jace grinned.

“Oh shut up, I’m mad at you.” I said turning away from, so that my back was towards him. I wasn’t as angry as I was acting, but still, I was in the mood to overreact.

I let out a scream when I was pulled back and turned around so that I was sitting on Jace’s lap, mud dripping down my forehead. My legs were wrapped around his waist and my arms were forced around his neck when he wrapped his arms around my waist. I could help but love the sparks I felt when he touched me. My skin was burning at the touch and it goose bumps rose on my skin as he slowly wiped away the mud from my face.

“I can make it up to you, if you want.” He smirked, obvious seeing how his touch affected me. I hated, yet loved the way he it felt when he touched me, even if it was the slightest contact. Before I could process what was happening, I was on my back and Jace was on top of me, his lips pressed against mine.

Let’s just say that this was the best kiss ever. I’d only really ever kissed Matthew before, and that was usually out of force. This kiss was passionate and full of lust. I moan escaped my lips and he smiled against my lips as he continued to move his lips against mine. I bit down on my bottom lip, causing me to gasp. He took advantage of this and slid his tongue inside my mouth. Our tongues danced together, earning a moan from Jace.

His hands roamed my body, exploring whatever he could. My skin felt like it was literally on fire right now. I tightened my grip around his neck, pulling him closer to me, if that was even possible. Mud was dripping down my face but I couldn’t have cared less. I knew what I needed Jace; I wanted to be with him.

To think that I could deny myself from my mate seemed crazy right now. We were basically making out in mud for crying out loud. If that doesn’t say something, I don’t know what does. For once, I was thankful to be a werewolf and to have a mate who could make me feel this way. I slowly pulled away, needing to breathe. We were both panting, trying to fill our lungs with oxygen. I felt like I was going to pass out right now.

“Are you still mad at me?” He smirked, which was followed by loud panting from both of us.
