Chapter 26: A Sunken Heart.
*Gavins PoV*
I woke up and got ready for a long day at work. We are started to pack up some stuff and it's just gonna be long. I groaned as I walked into the AH office, taking a seat in my creeper chair. "What are we doing today Geoffrey?" I asked spinning my chair around to face him. "We are gonna help pack some stuff and edit. Possibly do a Let's Play." Geoff finished with a heavy sigh.
I sighed too as I pulled on my headphones to edit for a while. I grew tired of editing so I got up to see if Burnie needed help with anything.
"Aye burns, need help?' I said as I approached him. "If you can't take this box downstairs that would be great." Burnie said. "Aight." I sighed picking up the heavy box. I groaned at the weight and trudged back downstairs.
"WHERE YOU WANT IT?" I yelled. "IN GUS' OFFICE." he yelled back. I sighed and made my way to Gus' office. I put the box down and pushed it against the wall. I walked back out meeting Geoff in the Hallway. "Aye, lunch, come on." Geoff said waving his hand in a 'come here' motion. I followed, as I walked into the kitchen behind Geoff, Michael was making 2 sandwiches.
"My Boi! here!" Michael said handing me a sandwich. "Thanks Micoo!" I chirped. I bit into my sandwich and then I pulled out my phone. 'I should see how Hannah's doing.' I thought.
I texted her a bunch of times and then I forgot it was a 2 hour difference. "Shit." I mumbled. "What's wrong gavvers?" Michael asked. "Nothing." I mumbled. "Do you miss her?" Michael asked in a hushed tone. I looked at him and he nodded. "I do too. It's different around here without her." Michael said sighing. "It is." I agreed.
Soon Hannah wrote me and I was all happy. We talked for a long time. About an hour later she sent me a picture of her food. I smiled and my stomach growled. "You just ate a hour ago and you're hungry?" Michael asked. I nodded "Yea, Hannah sent me a picture of her breakfast." I said showing Michael. "Tell her I said hi." Michael smiled. I nodded and did so.
"She said 'tell that bitch I said hi.' Micoo!" I laughed. Michael laughed sarcastically. "Tell her she's gonna get slapped for that when she comes back." Michael laughed. I did so again an waited for her reply. "She said 'Don't let him hurt you, I don't want a bruised Gavi when I get back!' Aww..." I smiled. "We'll see about that!" Michael yelled. I started to reply back when Michael tackled me. He tried grabbing my phone but I pressed send right before he took it away from me. "Let's see what we have here." Michael smiled as he sat on me to keep me from getting up.
"I know my shirt is in good hands...... you look good in it." Michael scoffed. "Micoo get off me! Give me my phone back!" I screeched. Michael had a shocked expression on his face. "How did she get your shirt? She was wearing it the other day! Ooo gavvers!!" Michael teased. "Micoo! Get off!" I said as I wiggled and squirmed. He got off and held out his hand. I took it and got up and fixed my shirt. "Here, you should tell her you like her." Michael smirked. "Like who?" Geoff said as he walked into the office with Ray. "Is she cute?" Ray asked. "No one!" I said putting my phone in my pocket.
"Alright, get back to work." Geoff said. I sat in my chair and edited for a minute or two, then I pulled my phone out and wrote her back. I smiled at the messages and then she had to go. I put my phone back in my pocket and finished what I started.
"Time for a Let's Play!" Geoff chirped. "You're happy about it, why?" Ryan asked. "I have more coffee. That's why. " Geoff said sitting in his chair. "What let's play?" Jack asked. "Minecraft." Geoff said. "Wot!? No! We can't take away the tower from Hannah's desk unless she's here Geoff!!" I said. "True... fine we will do a GTAV Let's Play. Load it up boys!" Geoff said as he turned to look at his TV. I sighed and did the same.
During the Let's Play my phone went off. We laughed at my text tone. "Who is it?" Ray asked. "I don't know Ray." I said. "Look! We won't kill you!" Ryan said. I sighed and pulled my phone out. "It's Hannah, ok?" I said. "What did she say?" Geoff asked. I sighed and opened it up.
"She said: 'we are heading to the concert now, i'll text you when we get to the hotel. It might be late tho.'... That's what she said." I said. "Tell her I said for her to be safe." Geoff said fatherly. "Aww father Geoff." Michael teased. "Hey, I have a daughter ok? I can't help it." Geoff protested. I texted her what Geoff said as Michael killed my character in GTAV. "MICOO!!" I yelled. "Sorry gavvy!" Michael chuckled. "Geoff, she said: 'Aww, thanks Geoff, I will! tell everybody hi.'..." I repeated. Everyone in the room yelled "hi!!!!" I just shook my head.
Me: Everyone said Hi
Kitten: We are in a taxi right now being taken to the concert.
Me: Well, I know you got this from Geoff already but do be safe.
Kitten: I will Gavi, you too ok?
Me: I will, tell the girls I said hi.
Kitten: Even key?...
Me: Yea, I think I finally got over it.
Kitten: They said hi. We just arrived so I gotta go. Bye Gavi 😌
"GAVIN PLAY. YOU'VE BEEN SITTING IN THE SAME SPOT FOR 10 MINUTES. STOP TEXTING YOUR CRUSH!!!" Michael yelled.
Me: Yea I gotta go too Michael's yelling at me. Bye kitten.😕
Kitten: Tell Michael to be nice or ill be the one slapping him!
Me: I will, talk to you soon.
Kitten: 😌
"So, is your crush....." Ray started to say her name but I stopped him. "RAY! NO!" I yelled. "It totally is." Ryan spoke up. I sighed in irritation. "Gavvy has a little crush oooo." Geoff teased.
The day was long and the guys teased me until Geoff and I went home. The car ride was quiet. Very quiet.
"So, did Hannah write you yet?" Geoff broke the silence. "No, I'm being patient." I said with a small sigh. "You do like her don't you?" Geoff said. I sighed. "Don't tell her." I said. "Well, you better soon." Geoff said. We arrived home and I sighed in relief as the conversation got interrupted.
"Gavvy! Can we play minecraft!?" Mille asked as I walked in. "Sure Millie, lets go!" I said.
We played for hours until Geoff told her to go to bed. "Goodnight Millie." I said as I kissed the top of her head. "Night gavvy, love you!" She said. "Love you too!" I said. "Night daddy, is mommy gonna come in?" Millie asked. "Ill go get her dool (doll)." I said. I walked out to find Griffon. "Hey Griff Millie wants you. She's going to bed." I said. "Thanks Gav." Griffon patted my shoulder. I nodded my head and padded my way to the fridge. I pulled out a beer and popped the top off.
I walked to the living room and sat down.
Geoff and Griffon joined me. "Is there any more beers in the fridge?" Geoff asked. "Yea, Griffon just re-stalked it earlier. Want me to get you one? Griff?" I asked. "Sure." Geoff said. "Yes please. Thanks Gav." Griffon said. I nodded and got up.
I pulled out the beers and pop the tops and made my way back into the living room. I handed them their drinks and sat back down. "How was work?" Griffon asked. "Good, long." Geoff said. "You Gav?" Griffon asked. "Same." I smiled thinking about Hannah, and as if on cue my phone went off. I looked at the time and it was 10:45. I opened the text and it was Hannah. She sent a picture of her and the girls at the concert with glow-stick necklaces around their necks and glow-sticks in their hands. I smiled and showed Geoff and Griffon.
"Sooo, Hannah IS the one you like." Griffon smiled. I sighed heavily. "Chill out Gav, we got your secret." Griffon reassured me. I nodded and replied.
Me: Hope you're having fun!
Kitten: It's almost over but there's a after party and they chose us and some others to come with them.
Me: Keep smiling, it looks good on you.
Kitten: Thanks Gavi, your smiles the best tho.
Me: Nah, yours is.
Kitten: Nah! Sorry, I gotta go again.
Me: it's fine have fun!
Kitten: I will Gavi!
I smiled and finished my beer. "Wanna watch a movie? Griffon asked. "Sure, what movie?" I asked. "Uhh, Delivery Man" She answered. "Sounds Top!" I said.
We started the movie and Griffon made popcorn. We laughed and debated about the storyline.
2 hours later I was getting tired.
"Hey guys, I'm getting tired, I'm going to bed, love you." I said. "Love you too Gav, goodnight." Griffon said as she hugged me. "Night Gav." Geoff said as he side-hugged me.
I walked to the slider door and opened it letting Zoey out. "Zoeys out guys." I said as I walked out. "Ok!" Geoff said. I walked to my loft and Zoey came up to me. "Night girl." I said as I patted her head. I opened my door and Locked it behind me. I went to take a piss then walked back into my bedroom. I striped off everything but my boxers. I grabbed my phone outta my pocket then climbed into bed.
Me: Good night Kitten😴
Kitten: Goodnight Gavi, Sweet Dreams!
Me: How's the concert?
Kitten: It's great! I think the party is going to be all night, I'm not gonna stay all night tho.
Me: Well, make sure you have fun.
Kitten: I will! Sleep well Gavi 😋
Me: I will love, talk to you tomorrow.
Kitten: Will do!
Me: 😌
I put my phone on its charger and then rolled over pulling the covers over myself. I soon fell asleep.
-Next Morning-
I woke up at 6 and took a shower. I pulled out my 'I Look Better in Slow Motion' shirt and jeans. I grabbed my converse shoes and ran my hand through my hair. I brushed my teeth and then grabbed my phone and keys off the nightstand. I locked the door behind me when I walked out.
I walked through the unlocked slider door and Zoey greeted me. "Morning girl!" I said as I rubbed her head. "Want out?" I asked. I opened the door and she ran out. I smiled and walked into the kitchen. "Morning!" I said to the family. "Morning gavvy!" Millie said. "How'd you sleep?" Griffon asked. "Top!" I said. "Good! Hungry?" She asked. I nodded and she handed me a plate of food.
I ate all my food and put my dishes in the sink. "Ready for work?" Geoff asked. I nodded as I sighed and we walked to the front door. I grabbed my black AH jacket and walked out the door. Griffon and Millie were staying home today to do girly stuff. I didn't want to text Hannah this early cuz of the time difference. So I waited until later today.
We arrived at work and we walked into the AH office. "Morning my Boi!" I chirped. "Gavin!" Michael shot up and glomped me. I smiled and patted his back. "Morning guys!" I said as I say down.
"Morning!" Jack and Ryan said. I pulled my headphones onto my head and started editing the Let's Play we did yesterday.
Hours went by and now it's 11. 'She might be awake.' I thought. I texted her and waited for a response. A hour went by and nothing. I started feeling weird inside. I brushed it off and waited some more... Nothing... I wrote her again.
'It would be 10am there now...' I thought. I walked to the kitchen and grabbed me a Dr. Pepper and my salad I had from yesterday. I sat down and picked at my food. I ate half my food and put it back into the fridge.
I went back into the AH office and we started to do another Let's Play. "Have you heard from your crush today?" Michael teased. "No." I said in a downed voice.
In the middle of the Let's Play I got a phone call. I looked at it and it was Hannah. I smiled widely. "Step out and answer the phone Gav." Geoff said. I sighed and nodded. I picked up my phone and walked outside, and answered it.
"Hello?" I said. "Gavin!?" Key said panicked. "What's wrong?" I asked getting worried.
"Gavin, Hannah's been in a accident!" Key said crying historically as loud sirens pierce my ears. My heart sunk.
I couldn't breathe. "W-Wot!?"
