Chapter 4: (Charlotte's POV)
"Don't touch me." I say for the sixth time with a straight face, as Draco attempts to caress my face again.
Dropped mouths, gasps, and giggles fill the room, from those who are astounded by the potions effects.
While Snape looks for the antidote (which I think he should have in his pocket), I continue to push Draco away.
"Charlotte! Oh Charlotte! Charlotte! Listen to me!" Draco exclaims, waving his hands in front of my face.
"What do you want Malfoy?" I ask, as I turn toward him.
The class is silent, as they wait anxiously, anticipating the next move. Draco draws near to me and puts his hand over mine.
I try to pull my hand away, but his grip is extremely tight. Becoming nervous I say, "Umm... That's a little close Malfoy..."
He continues to close in on me, until someone yells out. "Back off Malfoy! Leave her alone!" A male voice snaps.
We both turn simultaneously to see who dares to speak up. It is Harry. Of course. He probably thinks I can't handle myself.
Thankfully his diversion made Draco drop my hand and on the bad side, of course it got points taken away from Gryffindor. But, at least Snape has found the antidote!
As he walks toward us, Draco looks at me. His pale blue, almost grey eyes stare deep into my soul and he smiles. He tilts his head to the side, gesturing for me to look in that direction.
Doing as told, I look at the specific spot. I almost had a heart attack when I saw what I did. With a dropped mouth I turn back to Draco.
Some of the potion was on the ground! Which means not all of this is just symptoms. Oh my...
He winks cheekily, gaining more nervous giggling, and whispers in my ear, "We'll definitely get a good grade!"
Is that all I mean to him? Am I only good for getting a good grade? Oh heck no! This is not going down his way. "Professor!" I yell angrily.
Snape picks up his pace and stops in front of our desk. "What do you need Ms.Potter?" He asks, sounding almost bored.
"Professor, Draco spilled some of the potion on the ground! He's not under the full effects!" I spit out.
With that Draco looks at me with a look of shock. Serves him right! Gosh what a little prat..
Snape looks between the two of us and then at the ground. He spots the spilled pink liquid, with a grin on his face he looks back up.
"Well Ms.Potter, being that Mr.Malfoy is being uncooperative, that means you'll have to take it to test the results!" He almost cheers.
I myself stare at him in shock, while Draco smiles maliciously. How did this back fire so bad?
