3rd person pov
"okay, next dare!" banks slurs, taking another sip of whiskey straight from the bottle.
"ill go." rice says
"kailee," he says turning to the black haired girl.
"i dare you,"
he stops & starts laughing, earning confused looks from everyone in the small circle.
"i dare you to apply to be jake paul's assistant." everyone in the room started screaming & laughing.
"it's a deal" kailee said with a smile.
"my turn!" anjoli screamed.
kailees pov
i woke up with my head pounding. i sat up & looked around. 'shit' i thought. everyone around me was still passed out. marissa to my left next to anjoli & kendra. rice was to my right.
i stood up with wobbly knees & walked to the kitchen. i opened a bunch of cabinets looking for aspirin. or anything to make this headache go away.
i heard sluggish footsteps coming into the kitchen. i turned to see kendra walk in.
"hey" she said sleepily.
"hey," i replied back.
"want any asprin?" i asked.
"yes please." kendra responded.
i handed her two aspirin.
"here's some water also." i gave her the glass of water.
i looked over at the counter to see my phone sitting there on the charger. i walked over & picked it up & took it off charge. i hit the power button.
"SHIT" i almost yelled.
"what's wrong?" kendra asked me, giving me a confused look.
"it's 12:45 & it's monday! i have to post my vlog that i still have to edit."
"girl you better get to work!" kendra told me as i ran up the stairs.
i finally got up to my room, the one i share with marissa. i hopped on my bed & grabbed my laptop. i immediately started to edit.
about an hour later, i had finally gotten my vlog the exact way i wanted it. i then went to youtube to upload it. i waited for about 15 more minutes for the uploading time.
15 minutes later, i went to all my social medias to announce my new video. i posted on snapchat, twitter & instagram.
when i was done with all of that, i headed back downstairs to see if anyone had gotten up. as i walked down, i could hear two voices. sounded like marissa & kendra i also smelled something really good.
"hey kailee!" marissa said standing at the stove.
"hey, watcha makin?" i asked her
"i'm making everyone bacon, pancakes & eggs. i figured everyone would be starving when they woke up." she replied.
"good i'm starving" i said.
"me too" kendra added in.
"i can't believe they're all in there still asleep" marissa stated, talking about rice, anjoli, banks & alissa. "i may go wake them up" she added
just when she said that rice walked in. he said hey to all of us & then walked over to the stove with marissa & stood next to her.
"thanks for making breakfast, babe." he told marissa, but she didn't respond.
i didn't see her face, but i knew she rolled her eyes. rice is so flirty with all of the girls in this house, it's so annoying.
"well guys i'm gonna go shower & get ready to leave for the college." i said to the 3 of them.
"wait, breakfast is done, i want you to eat before you get ready." marissa said with a smile.
i sat down & marissa handed me a plate with scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon & 3 pancakes.
"you're the best." i told her.
"you're welcome." she replied.
i sat down & started eating. marissa then handed a plate to kendra & rice. then made a plate for herself.
i finally finished eating & placed my dish in the sink. i then ran upstairs & got ready.
i was the only one in the house who went to college. i mean, i only went to a small community college, but i still went. marissa decided to go to cosmetology school but youtube got in the way & she had to drop out. kendra & anjoli just took one online class.
after my shower, i got out & wrapped my hair & body in towels. i walked to my closet & pulled out a old yellow t-shirt & grabbed leggings out of my draw. i then slipped on my van old school high tops. i didn't bother with makeup. i took my hair out of the towel & walked to my bathroom to blow dry it. after that, i grabbed my bag with my laptop, notebooks & a textbook. i decided to take afternoon classes because god knows i'm not a morning person & i didn't want to have night classes because i wanted to have fun & party at night, if we even ever had parties.
i walked downstairs & saw everyone in the house was finally awake & eating what marissa had made. i grabbed my vlog camera, my wallet & my keys by the front door.
"bye guys, love y'all." i yelled walking out the door.
"bye kailee" they all said in unison.
i turned my camera on & started vlogging. we all vlog what happened in our week. i then hopped in my car & started to drive to school. i still had a small headache, but i could bear it.
i pulled up to the college, turned my camera off after saying i was at school & got out of the car.
my classes were boring, of course. i had math, drama & lit today. i mean, i did good in my classes, i took good notes & did good on the tests.
finally, school was over & it was time to head home. i hopped in my car & drove to the house. i looked at my phone to check the time. 5:30 pm. i turned my vlog camera back on & started to tell the vlog about what has happened so far. but it was nothing too exciting.
i started to head home. but of course, i got stuck in rush hour traffic. its terrible in L.A. i decided to grab my aux cord & started playing some logic.
after sitting in the car in traffic for what felt like i lifetime, i finally got back home.
"hey kailee! what took so long? i thought you got out at 4:30?" anjoli asked me, looking up from her laptop as i walked through the door. she was sitting at the bar by the kitchen.
"rush hour traffic" i told her. she just nodded & went back to her business.
"where is everyone?" i asked her.
"marissa, kendra & alissa went out shopping & banks & rice are upstairs." she said.
"ahh cool, so how's your vlog coming al-" i tried finishing my sentence when someone yelled my name coming down the stairs.
"KAILEE!" of course it was rice.
"hey rice" i said quietly
"hey, how was school?" he asked me
"it was okay, how was your afternoon?" i replied.
"it's was fine, a little boring because you weren't here" he said with a wink.
i just rolled my eyes.
"hey so i was thinking," he continued. "you remember last night, how i dared you to apply to be jake paul's assistant?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck, laughing nervously
"uhh yeah i'm gonna do it later tonight.. why?" i told him
"well uhh you know you don't have to do that anymore right..?" he asked me nervously.
"no rice, a dare is a dare. i'm gonna do it." i said with a 'fuck you' smile. "in fact, i'll go do it right now!" i yelled as i went up the stairs.
"kailee wait!-" was the last thing i heard from rice.
yeah, i know we were all drunk, but you know, a dare is a dare.
i opened my door to my bedroom, sat down on my bed & grabbed my laptop. i went to jake paul's twitter, & decided to dm him. 'i can't believe i'm doing this.' i thought.
'@kailee: hey jake! i saw that you had an open spot for your someone to be your assistant. i'm free next monday if you need someone, we could meet up!'
i waited for a response & about a few minutes later, i got it.
'@jakepaul: hey kailee! i watch your vlogs & videos with your friends! yours are the best & funniest in my opinion. i would totally love to meet up with you & discuss this. see you next week!'
i read they message & smiled. i wrote back giving him my number & told him we should meet at the small coffee shop down the street from my house. he replied with a sure & a winky face.
i could tell this was going to fun.
