It was a windy and dark night. I could feel the cold air dry my fresh tears. Who would have thought my birthday would be the perfect day to have my heart broken.
*flashback* I approached Martin's house so we could watch cute movies together like he promised. I knock and there is no answer. It was unlocked so I decided to enter. I was shocked to see that Martin was kissing another girl. He tries to explain but I just leave. I can't believe it, how long has he been cheating on me? Or worse how long has he been cheating on her with me? The thoughts bring tears to my eyes and I begin to walk. *end of flashback*
I continue my journey on finding my house, but I am stopped by the presence of a boy. He wore black skinny jeans, a leather jacket, and black convers. He was smoking and even though I have not seen his face he seems very attractive, I stare at him hoping he won't notice. He turns his head and I jump in fear. "Shit" I say, I was going to run but he said "don't go". I obeyed him and stayed. "So why is such a pretty girl like you strolling around here in the middle of the night?" he asked. "I needed some fresh air" I responded, he could tell I was lying. "Bullshit, I don't believe you" he said, "I....I.." I couldn't continue and broke down into tears. "There, there" he said as he pulled me into a hug, I told him my story while he rubbed my back. When I finished we exchanged looks, he had the most beautiful ocean blue eyes I had ever seen before and he had a lip piercing that was to die for. "He is a total dick, you deserve better than him", he said. "Oh, I forgot. My name is Luke" he said as he handed me a cigarette. How does he know I smoke? "My name is Tris" I said as I grabbed the cigarette. "Unusual name, huh" he said. I nodded in response. We talked for a while and exchanged numbers. "Text me sometime" Luke said, "I sure will" I say trying to say it in a cute way but fail. Wow. This may sound weird but he is beautiful, you don't see people like him around here. He is different, but in a good way. And I like that.
