Third Person POV
'Hey, what's the white stuff falling from the sky?' Leo asked as he sat beside Marco, watching the little powder like droplets fall from the sky
"Wait wait wait, you've never seen snow before?" he shook his head, Leo lived in Miami, Florida & it barely snowed at all, all he got was heat heat heat! He'd usually sweat his ass off while his brother & mother went to the pool or something
'Where I use to live... it barely snowed, it only rained instead for a cold weather. What is snow like?' he hummed to himself
"Well, its cold for a start. Its an atmospheric water vapor frozen into ice crystals & falling in light white flakes or lying on the ground as a white layer-yoi." Leo got what he meant but this time Thatch butted in
"You just had to ruin the meaning of snow, didn't ya?!" Marco just shrugged "Other then his nerd talk *hey!*, you can make snowmen, snow angels & have a snowball fight!" he tilted his head to the side
'Now why would you want to do that?' Thatch gasped & glared at Marco
"Your boringness rubbed off on my poor Leo!" Marco rolled his eyes & sighed "First thing we do when we dock on that island is we're making a snowman!"
'I still don't understand why...'
(Time Skip)
It took some time but eventually they were on a winter island, Leo marvelled at all the snow & just like Marco said, it was pretty cold so he wore a sweater, scarf, jacket & beanie
A single snowflake landed on Leo's nose & it made him sneeze, this made him smile as his eyes started to shine like stars so he fell back onto the rather soft blanket of snow & started making a snow angel
"Seems like your enjoying yourself." he opened his eyes & saw Izo looming over him
'Oh yes I am, this is the most fun I've ever had!'
"Really? What did you do for fun?" Leo sat up & scratched his chin
'The most fun thing for me would be... reading a book. That was the only thing exciting for me.' Izo kinda sweat dropped
'Man that kinda sucks.'
'Now, spending time with you guys makes me feel... a-alive.'
"That's good to hear." suddenly something was thrown at Izo & it exploded all over his head... turns out it was snow & it was thrown by Thatch & of course, Haruta
"Oops! I was aiming for Marco, sorry Izo." suddenly a snowball was thrown again & this time it smacked all over his face, it was from Marco
"Like that?" Leo watched as Thatch wiped the snow off his face & glare at Marco
"This means war." & then a snowball fight began, Jozu pulled Leo out as the young one just watched in delight. Jozu chuckled at him in amusement before setting him down & turned back to the scene before him, but he hadn't noticed Leo walking away
He may have the body of a 7 year old but he still had the mind of a 17 year old & he was still pretty curious about everything, he wandered around & hadn't noticed that he was getting deeper & deeper into the icy forest. He suddenly stopped when he heard a faint noise... it was so quite, you'd have to really use your ears to hear
"What the hell is that...?" he murmured to himself, he started following where he heard the voice & found a trail of blood in the snow... now he was in panic mode. He looked around frantically & heard whimpering, he followed the trail & saw something heavily breathing in the snow "U-Uh, you okay...?" turns out it was an animal, a snow leopard to be exact
It seemed to have sensed him cause it growled viciously in his direction, making him gasp & fall backwards onto the snow with tears slowly appearing. The poor beast tried getting up but only growled in pain as the trap around it's leg tightened, Leo gulped & stood up before taking a step forward
The leopard growled again but it slowly turned into a whimper, Leo looked at the thing around its leg & saw it was on pretty tight. He swallowed away all the saliva left in his throat & reached for the trap & carefully started undoing it
"E-Everythings gonna be o-okay big fella..."
(With Everyone Else)
Everyone laughed as the snowball fight finally died down, they were all completely covered in snow & were shivering. Thatch laughed out loud & wiped the snow off his clothes & hair when he noticed they were missing someone
"Uh, guys."
"Yeah?"
"Where's Leo...?"
"Jozu had him last." they look over & saw that Jozu was asleep... without him, everyone was practically screaming
"JOZU!!" he woke up & was now being yelled at "Where is Leo?!?!"
"What? He's right there." he pointed behind them & they all saw Leo, riding a giant, injured snow leopard, he waved with a smile
'Hey guys! Look what I found!' & they all fainted 'Eh? What's the matter?'
"They're just worried, where'd you find it?"
'I found him in the forest when I decided to take a scroll, he was also trapped in something so I decided to suck it up & help him. Now I think he thinks I'm his Master.'
"Really? So, what're you gonna name him?"
'Hmm... how about Silver?'
"Why Silver?"
'Cause his fur reminds me of the color, but a darker shade of it.' Jozu nodded with a smile
Lyon POV
I run onto the ship & I asked if the nurses could help fix up Silver, they agreed & took him to the infirmary, I go the follow but stopped when I saw pops talking to someone on a... transponder snail, was it?
"We'll be paying a visit, old friend."
"I am not your friend, R--" I whistled & it seemed to have gotten his attention, he turned around & his once serious face turned into a happy one
"What was that?"
"Its none of your business, see you never."
"Newgate!" & he hung up
'Who was that?' I ask as he lifted me up & set me on his lap
"Oh no one important my son."
'Oh! I just remembered something, I made somewhat a new friend today!' he raised an eyebrow
"Did you now? What's their name?"
'His name is Silver! & he's a snow leopard.' I noticed that he looked at me weirdly before letting out a laugh 'What's so funny?'
"Nothing nothing."
(Okay, I'm saying this again... this is hard for me to write, yeah yeah. So, I'm kinda gonna make his childhood with the Whitebeard Pirates a bit short, okay? Okay)
