Zohra
Nuaimat just like her brother were at all not excited with the recent development, i don't know if they are being modest or anything, those two are indeed brother and sister.
The night Nuaimat's awaken went viral, alot of people thought they could now visit her but, still they were allowed in, the normal us were allowed in.
While i was downstairs watching the normal activity in the main hall, all of them suppose to have gone already but Nuaimat's news was a Blast and no one wants to miss the whole ordeal for the world, So they stayed back,
Muayad was seated in the mist of kids like Tanisha, Tanisha was on his laps as he converse with the kids, every now and then they will all chorus with laughter, lots of the Aunties pass him with a pat, squeezing the cheeks or offering him sweets directly to the mouth, some of our younger female cousins will team up and approach him with a tray laden with maybe cookies or another kind of sweets or chocolates, he accept it with smiles and then he will share it among the kids, girls i muttered,
I decided to join him and the kids, come to think of i am yet to have a normal conversation with my newly found cousin
"Hey" i said on reaching them, they all turned to me, "aunt Zohra" they all chorused while only Tanisha said "Momma",
"Hey kids can i join you" i asked and they all nodded and made space for me in their circle.
"Uncle Muayad is telling us stories" said Tanisha and the rest nodded in Support of what she said "owkey, i will join in hearing" i said
"No since Ya Zohra is here, why don't she tell us her story" he added, "juice time juice time" sang Jameena in the hall, it was meant for the children, so all the kids swam up to her, "they all love Nuaimat" i said with a sigh, "how is she taking it" he asked now sounding worried, "still shock, she will get over it don't worry" i said trying to sound comforting, "i wish" he said sadly, He sighed and added "anyway thanks for everything"
I chuckled and patted him saying "you know what, don't make me blush, cause i won't look good, unlike your sister who i heard looks cute when blushing, my brother told me" we giggled at the same time,
"Don't feel bad she asked you out, she needs it and i promise you she will come around" i said reassuring, he nodded as we watch Jameena now giving the kids a cup of juice each, she approached us and gave Muayad a cup saying " one for the new handsome cousin" she said, Muayad giggled, Jameena is so blunt about guys,
i shook my head with a smile, she motioned to me if i want "orange juice, i will pass" i said, she stuck her tongue at me and walked futher.
Just then Zaid came up to me, "i heard she is awake" he said looking as worried as ever,
"Am not talking to you" i said and turned to walk away, please i want to see her, i need to see her" he said
"Am not Nuaimat to answer that, excuse me, i think she is done showering" i said coldly and walked away without even sparing him a second glance.
No one's POV
The next day Nuaimat still said she wasn't ready to see anyone, only her brother was exempted, so when he was let in that morning by Aunty Yusrah, he headed straight to the bedroom, she was seated up on the bed, halve her body in the blankets, she was wearing a vest, and the female doctor just finished giving her some injections, "owkey, i will leave now, i will send down doctor Sameer with the evening dose" said the doctor and left,
Muayad stood by the door and watch her massage the arm she was injected on,
"Well come on in" she said inclining to him with her head, he sighed and joined her by the bed side, "Snickers, Tanisha snucked them for me yesterday" she said showing some chocolates, he chuckled and said "Cavities", "oh" she exclaimed, and set to open up one of the chocolates, "this was your favorite" she said waving a dairy milk chocolate bar, "no that was your favorite, mine was Mars" he said calmly, she giggled and said "i know, i just wanted to make sure you haven't forgotten about me", he also chuckled,
"How is Khairiya and Asad" she asked plainly,
"Good i think, Asad is in Ss3, Khairiya in Ss1 both science students"
"Taking after their big brother" she said giving him a mock blow,
"Khairiya wants to be a surgeon, Asad aims to be an engineer"
"Talking of engineering, wow Muayad, am proud of what you've become, you look so good" she said with a smile, he smiled and said "thank you"
"And too serious for my liking" she joked, but he didn't laugh,
"Ayad, that was suppose to be a joke, don't tell me you are now boring" she asked shocked
"you promised you will call, but you didn't" he suddenly said with tears in his eyes, she looked away and grabbed her phone, she started using it, "i waited, i called, i texted but nothing from you" he added
"I don't wanna talk about it at least not now" she said dismissively without looking up from her phone,
"i want to talk about it, you had the means to call, you were save, you were owkey, you could have just texted and say something, alot of us were worried, i had news to tell you, alot of thing wanted to share with you" he snapped standing up,
"Yeah and i didn't, hello i didnt call but what, but you did well, you moved on, so what's the big deal" she also snapped,
"I moved on" he asked sounding hurt, "you think i have the strength to move on, you think i am a happy guy now"
"Stop being dramatic" she said looking away,
"you know what, i can't stand this, but we must talk about this" he said and went out.
Nuaimat
As i saw him leave, i muffled my mouth with my pillow and gave a scream of agony, ask me why i did that to him, i just won't admit am wrong for not calling him, i don't want him to pity me, i dont want him to hear me say i missed home, yeah you want to see my ego try me with this things.
I hate seeing him hurt, i just wish he could understand me, but alas no one does, just then Aunt Yusrah came in and guess who was right behind her Harees, he immediately came to me and hugged me, which i responded to, "how are you feeling" he asked, "owkey" i replied, "how are you taking it, i mean you being like one of us, like really one of us, to find out that you are my cousin, that is thrilling, thou Mum, dad and Sabira don't accept it but to hell with that, i care and i welcome you once again to our family" he said excited, i gave a laugh "thank you" i said
"Dear, there will be a whole family dinner today down the hall, would you be there" asked Aunt Yusrah calmly, "i don't know, i don't feel to well" i lied,
"Oh come on don't tell me you are nervous, the mighty might Nuaimat nervous, holy cheese and crackers" exclaimed Harees
"Come on Nuaimat, it won't be that bad, infact you will enjoy it" said Aunt Yusrah,
"Auntyyyy" i whinnied, yes i was nervous to meet the whole family, "lets play a game, you loose you go, i loose you stay" said Harees, before i could protest he said "what can not be found in the sea but can be found in the river"
"What, i don't know, shark" i said confused, "you loose, she will be there" he quickly added, and stood up to go "what's the answer" i called back, "i don't know" he said winked and left, Aunt Yusrah was laughing,
"Aunty" i called for her attention as she now makes tea for the two of us "yes Dear" she answered forwarding a cup to me, "yesterday Zohra told me those who accepted i and my brother, and i noticed the Nay sayers were mostly known to be direct relations of Uncle Hamood or Aunt Fadwah, or close persons, i feel their solidarity has something different" i said,
Aunt Yusrah sighed and said you are right, you know in the will of your grandfather Zayman, he said both children of his are to inherit whatever of his equally, that means Zaid's and Zohra's dad and your Mum have to get everything equally, so when your mother was lost, the everything went to their dad, but as the law says since she wasn't confirmed death, her own halve is still intact and whenever she made an appearance she will have it, that same applies to any of her children when found without her, so the issue here is, you know this housr hold is rich, but Hamood and Fadwah are above us all, and thanks to the company of yours and Zaid's, so when it was said you and your brother are Naeemah Nudrat's children it means two more heads to what he is taking care of"
"But, why be like that, i mean what is he sacred off" i asked
"Since Zaid and Zohra didn't make a move to like take possession of what is truly theirs, maybe you and your brother will and in the process making Zaid and Zohra to rebel, leaving them with nothing, besides all allies of theirs have high ranks in the company"
"Am not intrested in What he has of ours" i said and that is true, i have no interest,
"Well, i feel if you stand up to take what is rightfully yours, it will be normal and good" she said and fondly patted my cheeks, i nodded with a smile, she excused herself and went out.
Zohra
Harees told me Nuaimat will be joining us for dinner, i was glad she could join us, even Ya Ubayd was excited with the idea, and before we knew it the news has circulated, that Nuaimat maybe joining us for the family dinner.
In the night, when it was time for dinner, the 16 below were to have their dinner in another hall while the rest were to dine in the main hall, everyone was seated by the long dining table, the sitting arrangement wasn't formal, you sit how you want to sit,
I and Muayad sat near eachother with an empty chair in our middle, by my side was a seat for Harees and by Muayad was Ya Zaid, and by Ya Zaid was Uzair,
Dinner was almost about to start when Harees and Aunt Yusrah came in with Nuaimat, she wore a simple A line gown which was cream with black laced long sleeves, her hair was in two long pig tails and each tail was on her shoulder running down her chest, she looked a bit pale but her beauty was still alluring.
All eyes turned to them as they approach, Aunt Yusrah nodded and head to sit near her husband, Harees who still has Nuaimat's hand in his, gently lead her to our place, but before she reached us Lawisa stood up and hugged her, i saw Nuaimat stiffened but then she she calmed down and hugged Lawisa too, after they disengaged the twnis also grouped hugged her and then she came to us, to my surprise Ya Zaid and Ya Uzair stood up at the same time, they looked at eachother while we looked at them confused, Nuaimat joined us, Muayad gave her a smile while she returned the smile and also smiled at me.
Zaid
I was so enthralled to see Nuaimat, she looked so beautifully pale, i stood up to offer her my chair but to my dismay Uzair stood up also, i gave him a glare, with a what do you think you are doing look i was so devastated when she sat near her brother and Zohra, i hissed and sat down,
The king started the dinner with a prayer and we all followed suit, while eating there was noise, but i kept on looking at Nuaimat who seems to be normal and having some fun with Harees, Zohra, Muayad and others around, Harees and Zohra kept on forcing beef with their fork into her mouth, they joked it was the ones she missed while being unconscious, Zohra also offered some meat balls to Muayad with her fork, he accepted it and Nuaimat playfully hit him on the shoulder, i noticed alot of those around engaged Nuaimat in conversation while some look at her with loath,
"So Nuaimat and Muayad are you ready for the counsel, i heard it's going to be a hot seat" said Rahila, who was opposite them,
"How did you know it's going to be hot" asked Nuaimat, "well we were all there when Ya Sameeha was tried when she wanted to marry the Turkish prince" said Rahila,
"It's good she isn't the nervous type or else their relationship will have being no more" said Maha,
"Well i don't know if am ready or not, but guess what ama enjoy my kebab right now with your beaming faces" said Nuaimat, alot who heard her chuckled while some just scowled,
"You better do, because it might be your last, for all we know, we maybe dining with an imposter" said Aunt Fadwah, "Mama" exclaimed Harees, "Mama is right, enjoy this while you still can, because my hunch is that tomorrow after the counsel you won't be eating any of this" said Sabira, alot reprimanded Sabira with looks,
"What is there to enjoy in this meal Sabira, for me i enjoy this meal because i am seated here in the mist of smiling faces, so atleast if you aren't glad am here Sabira, smile for the halve burnt Kebab infront of us" she then turned to the chief Cook standing with her crew and said "but its amazing, i love the coating " the cook laughed along with others,
Aunt Fadwah opened her mouth to talk but Grandmother Maya interrupted her "will stop acting childish Fadwah, what is your problem with the girl", some of the Aunties giggled because we weren't allowed to giggle. Well atleast i got to see the face of my girlfriend, and i believe she isNO FRAUD.
