Although this story is set in Renaissance England, I've chosen to create my own version of it. At this time, historically, the Tudor period was reigning supreme. This is fiction, and it's my fiction. I've completely come up with this plot and it is my own.
The Kingdom at Lochmore is lead by the respected King Frederick and Queen Louisa of England, their successor being their eldest son, Leopold and his future wife, Princess Marie of France. Harry is a year younger than his brother, and nothing like the esteemed heir to the throne. He's impulsive, hopelessly devoted to enjoying his time and in time, becomes utterly infatuated with the princess. He sees her in a light that no one else can envision and eventually, he loves her more than anyone else possibly could.
The setting is 1540, and Lochmore is also a fictional Kingdom. It's location-claim is the Southern, coastal county of Cornwall, England.
This is my second installment of my Harry and Paige series. I'm uncertain of whether there will be more! I'm hoping so, because I like them both so much!
I hope you enjoy my fictional take on the sixteenth century and a love affair that's life-altering.
Almost midway through the 16th century, France and England are crosshairs away from warfare. Malevolence is thick in the air between the two countries and both of the reigning kingdoms are desperate to avoid violence and keep the peace. A marriage between the two children, who are both next in line for the throne, is the final endeavor...a strained arrangement that both families hope will be a means to an end. Prince Leopold of England is stoic. He is kind, but he's a born leader. Princess Marie of France is a trying young woman. She is rebellious against her parents, but she's also born to reign. She is magnificent and loved by many. The two young royals are nothing alike, and the Princess realizes this, even before meeting England's promising future king. Upon her arrival, however, she's introduced to Prince Harry. Leopold's younger brother is stubborn, obnoxiously handsome, and more like Marie than anyone else could possibly be. She's betrothed to one man, but she falls for another. The fate of the two great countries depends on Leopold and Marie's wedding, so regardless of feelings elsewhere, the two are promised to one another and not even the strongest love can break that affiance.
