Today was the day! Your beloved Koo-Chan arrived this morning and you two had planned to meet at the train station. You were sitting on a nearby bench for your boyfriend to arrive. Your eyes were glued to the screen of your phone.
You and Bokuto have been texting, texting, texting, texting and texting since he left for training camp and you were reading messages he'd just sent you saying he was close to the train station, 10 minutes away, 5 minutes.
Suddenly you received another message. "5 seconds away" he texted you. You sprang up from your seating area and looked around quickly. You only saw people who you didn't know. You received another message. "Haha. Kidding still 5 minutes." You plopped yourself down into the bench.
You decided to stand up instead of sitting down. Walking around the train station. While you were walking, you noticed that your hair had a small clip in it and realized that you looked ridiculous with it in your hair. So, you pulled it out not wanting your boyfriend to laugh at how stupid it looked. When you took it out, you accidentally dropped it on the floor so you bent down to get it. However, someone else's hand came into view and picked it up for you. You recognized him quickly as Koo-Chan. "Here miss you dropped thi-" he started and then instantly recognized the shape and details of your face.
There was a long pause. "F/N-CHAN!!" He exclaimed happily and instantly grabbed you, pulling you in for a hug. "I missed you so much!!" He said loudly while kissing you all over your face. "I missed you too, Koo-Chan." You attempted to say but most of your words were cut off by the kisses you received.
You were holding hands while walking through a park. Today, you were spending every hour with Bokuto. Later today when the sun starts to set, you plan to spend the night at his place and then spend the next day together again.
Walking down the stone trail of this park you were in, Bokuto continued to tell you about what went on at the training camp and how he trained with Akaashi, Kuroo and a first year from another school. It sounded like he really had fun just like you expected.
"See, Koo-Chan? I told you that you'd have fun." You smiled teasingly. "I did have fun. But I wanted to be here with you even more than training camp." He said holding you close to him.
Bokuto was a hopeless romantic. But he wasn't very good at being romantic. Sure, he'd pick you up bridal style and brag about how beautiful you are to his friends . However, considering the cheerful, slightly immature, excited and somewhat stupid mood which he always had, seeing him trying to be romantic was a sight to behold. For it was very strange.
You laughed to yourself about the thought of Bokuto being romantic. "Why are you laughing?" He asked curiously. "Oh nothing. It's just funny when you try to be all romantic with me." You hummed. "Funny?" He questioned you sounding slightly offended and annoyed. This was evidenced by his eyebrow twitching. "Whoops. Not funny. CUTE was the word I was looking for, Koo-Chan. You're very cute." You smiled up at him.
He took a while to correctly comprehend what you just said. He had a weird thinking look on his face. This face was familiar to you. He did the exact same face the day you confessed.
Flash Back
It was Valentine's Day and you were wondering if you should even confess like planned. You kept telling yourself that you'd confess but now that the day has come, you felt like you were going to have a heart attack.
You had a fairly good amount of friends that you ate lunch with and watched volleyball practices with. All your friends had something in common that you didn't understand. They all despised a certain girl in your class. Her name was Koharu and she was a Mary-Sue. A social butterfly, goodie two-shoes, smart, pretty and perfect. You didn't mind her since you hardly even knew her. But for some reason, your female friends very much disliked her. It was on Valentine's Day that you found out why.
For the longest time, your friends have been trying to get you and the male's volleyball team captain to go out. You and Bokuto had been friends for a long time but you wanted more than friendship. You truly felt a connection with him and could say that you loved him. Your friends didn't like anyone who ruined your chances with Bokuto which is why they didn't like Koharu.
Because Koharu always had attention on her and was constantly in the spotlight, everyone knew that when she got a boyfriend, the entire school would know. Well, it was Valentine's Day and people were expecting Koharu to get herself a "soulmate" who'd she break up with in a week's time. (She kind of reminded you of that handsome Seijoh Captain)
You planned to meet with Bokuto after school and confess your feelings to him. You of course wanted him to accept your feelings and go out with you but you knew that there was like a six percent chance that he'd actually accept your feelings.
It was currently lunch time and your friends were going to eat by the gym since some of the boys from the volleyball team practiced at lunch time. Bokuto caught sight of you and waved excitedly to you, happy that you chose to watch him practice. You waved back happily.
Your friends and you were eating and socializing when someone walked past you. This person with Koharu. You rarely saw her enter the gym. In fact this was the first time you saw her anywhere near it aside from in P.E classes. "Why's she hear?" One of your friends growled. The others glared at her. You were also wondering why she was there so you and your friends watched as she walked casually into the gymnasium. Akaashi walked up to her asking if she needed something. She nodded and said something to Akaashi who seemed surprised by whatever she said. He then nodded and called over Bokuto.
"What's happening?" You thought to yourself. You didn't have much time to think though since as soon as Bokuto walked up to Koharu, she randomly jumped up, hugging him and pulling his face closer to her's.
You got up, grabbed your things and left. You knew exactly what was going to happen next and you didn't want to see it.
You sat on a bench in the school's courtyard. You were alone trying to finish your lunch. But the thought of Koharu and Bokuto made you want to bury your face in your hands and cry.
You put your lunch back in your bento since you knew you weren't going to finish it. You just sat there as tears slowly started to flow down your cheeks from your beautiful eyes. "This is the worst day ever." You though to yourself as you kicked a small pebble from under the bench.
Soon, you heard the sound of footsteps from behind you. "Go away, guys." You said knowing well enough that it was your group of friends behind you. No response, the footsteps continued and soon stopped as the figure sat beside you. It was one of your friends like you expected. Your other friends were behind you.
"I said go away. Just please leave me alone." You said into your hands wiping away your tears. "Bokuto was wondering where you went after Koharu... You know. And uh, he's on his way." One of your friends informed you. "Shouldn't he be with Koharu? I'm not speaking to him right now okay? I'm not even going to tell him that I like him." You said getting up with your lunch and leaving. "F/N! He's on his way here now!" Your friends yelled at you. "Then go ahead and tell him I don't care and I left!" You yelled back at them while marching away.
You weren't looking where you were going and bumped into someone taller than you. "Sorry." You said quietly ignoring who it was. "There you are." The familiar voice said back. You looked at him. Akaashi. "Bokuto's looking everywhere for you." He informed you. You sighed. "I know. I don't care." You said walking away. "Just tell him, I wish him and Koharu the best." You said walking off.
Akaashi caught up with you. "What are you talking about? He pushed Koharu away before she could get close enough to kiss him." Akaashi said. "He's not interested in her. He thinks she's annoying." Akaashi continued.
You felt so stupid. "Oh." Was all you could bring yourself to say. "Just meet Bokuto on the roof before the lunch period's over." Akaashi said walking away.
You got up onto the roof. As soon as you closed the door behind you, Bokuto ran up to you. "F/N-Chan!" Bokuto exclaimed. "Why'd you go away?" He asked you. You took a while to think. "Cause I didn't want to see Koharu kissing you. It's gross." You said annoyed. "But we didn't!" Bokuto said happily.
"I know. Akaashi told me." You said. Bokuto paused for a while and scratched the back of his head while his face turned red. "Haha... What else did Akaashi tell you?" He asked. "Nothing. Why?" You asked. "Phew. I thought he was going to spoil everything for you." He sounded relieved. "Spoil what?" You asked.
"I wanted to ask you out today so I thought he'd ruin the surprise." He said casually. There was a long pause. "You just ruined the surprise." You informed him.
Bokuto put his hands on his head. "Damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit, damnit, damn!" He said to himself. "Haha. Well I guess I did. I like you. I mean I uh, think I'm in love with you? I uh, wanna date you." He said with a red face. "Yeah. Me too." You responded.
He looked at you for a long time with his weird thinking face.

"Oh. O-Okay." He said happily. Then, he pulled you into a hug. "Can we go out, F/N-Chan?" He asked you. "Sure." You responded happily.
Back to the present
You both made your way to Bokuto's place since it was getting late. Tomorrow's gonna be another day with your beloved Koo-Chan. And there will be much more after that.
