Phil's POV:
I have to get proof that Dan's a time lord but I don't want him to know I'm scoping him out. I told Dan that I was going to run errands but I just needed to see the doctor and I didn't want Dan to come with. As I walked back to the apartment I wondered what else a timelord could do,why were they so dangerous? Dan never really seemed like the dangerous type to be honest,so him being a timelord is kinda surprising.
"Dan I'm back!"I yelled from the living room
"Hey Phil how were you errands?"he asked as he leaped out his bedroom door
"Oh ya errands,ya they were alright,"I said,throwing my jacket on the couch
"Woah dude what happened to your shirt?"He said,examining the black laser mark on my side that I got when running away from the dalek
"I don't know I guess I must have ran into something."I chuckled nervously
"I'd say it looks like you got shot or something,"Dan giggled as he looked at the hole
"Um,ya it does,"I said sounding confused
"Maybe it was from a robot shaped like a fucked up salt and pepper shaker with a plunger and a mixer for arms?"He said devilishly as he circled me
"How did you-?"I said,looking at the hole then back at him
"I'm not a bloody idiot Phil,I saw the sonic screw driver was gone,so I knew you were going to give it back to the doctor and with that comes alien-robot enemies. Plus I knew it was the fucked up salt shaker judging by the size of the hole in you t-shirt."He explained really fast.
"The Dalek?"I said
"Ya that thing,so you got away in one piece that's great!"He said,falling back onto the couch
"Um ya that's great, Dan can I ask you a question?"I asked as I fell back onto the beanbag chair
"Go ahead. Shoot Phil."he giggled, I could see he was trying to go for a pun there,I didn't really find that so funny
"Do you have two hearts?"I asked.
He stopped his laughing"Wait,What? did you just ask me if I had two hearts? Are you sure that dalek didn't get you in the head?"He questioned,with confusion written all over his face
"I'm being serious Dan the doctor told me timelords have to hearts,"I said,leaping off the beanbag
"Phil for the last time stop with the timelord nonsense and that's it!"He shouted.
I grabbed his arm and started heading down the stairs "Phil what are you doing?"He said,stopping at the bottom of the stairs
"We're going to see the doctor,"I said happily,as I skipped out the lobby with grouchy Dan behind me.
Dan's POV:
I was starting to think that Phil might be right,I was a Timelord and the Dalek came after Phil probably cause he was associated with me and the doctor.
"Phil what did that dalek say when he was attacking you?"I asked,after ignoring him most of the walk
"It was shouting something about the young Timelord,me being his companion and wanting to kill me to get to him and the doctor said when the dalek mentioned the young Timelord it meant you,"he explained,I could see the fear in his eyes when he thought about it.
Why did it want me?I mean there was nothing special about me I was just Dan Howell. But no there was actually some thing out there that wanted me dead. The thought sent a chill up my spin,but that thing didn't just want me dead it wanted Phil dead for just having contact with me. I couldn't put him in that kind of danger,if anything happened to Phil I wouldn't know what to do,he's my best friend and said 'Companion' the dalek and the doctor said.
"Are you alright Dan?"Phil asked,tapping me on the shoulder
"Hm,what? Oh ya,ya I'm alright I guess I dazed off a bit,"I said
"Well come on the tardis right around the corner!"He said with excitement,as he pulled me around the corner.
Phil knocked on the door and the doctor answered "Hello boys,what brings you to the tardis,"He said escorting us into the tardis
"I need you to tell me more about timelords and tell me exactly what I am,what makes me such a threat to those daleks?"I said,pointing at the tardis door.
