19- WHY NOT?
A few days passed after my episode. I'm such an idiot, how could I do all of that. I bitched out on my therapist, almost fought with his secretary, got drunk, kissed Ace- all in one day.
I finally got to go back home when my mom came back so she could replace the locks. She bombarded me with tons of questions on how this happened. So I told her everything I knew, she thought I was lying. Well you can't blame her, I was drunk out my mind when It happened.
But she was kind of happy to hear that I said that I've come to except that he's dead. And honestsly she shouldn't be so happy.
Then she said something so crazy." Why don't you invite your friends over for Sunday dinner. I'll be home."
Is she serious? "No way in hell." I snap.
Mom cocks an eye brow." Excuse me Hadley Grace O'Neil. Do not speak to me like that." She continues washing up the dishes." I'm serious. I want to meet the people that have in and out this house all the time." I could hear in her voice she wasn't going to let this go.
"Ugh Mom. Are you serious. I'm going to die of embarrassment." You could hear the whine in my voice.
She shrugs and looks at me over her shoulder innocently."Just invite them over I just want to talk."
"Mom."
"Hadley"
"Mom"
"Hadley"
I grind my teeth together suppressing my annoyance." You know what, whatever, fine. But that better be one hell of a dinner." I accidentally curse.
She cocks an eye brow again " You like that word huh. Well your going to like this spoon hitting your head." My eyes widen as the wet spoon comes barreling towards my head.
I move out the way." What. The. Hell." I blurt out again.
She didn't even say anything she just started throwing utensils at me. " Yeah you run you filthy teenager. I don't know where this confidence came from." She mumbles.

When Friday rolled around and I had to ask them come on sunday. Any one with eyes could tell that I was avoiding talking about my little breakdown a week ago.
I don't even want to talk anyone about it. But thinking back on it, I think it's a turning point. I refuse to be weak and fall back into the ways that make me me. Of course I'm not going to change myself completely just my ways of seeing things.
Ace told me to meet him outside so we can eat lunch. I agreed so that is where I'm heading. When I see Ace I quicken my pace." Hi Ace." I greet him.
He returns the gesture by sending me beaming smile." Hi Gracey!" He chirps. " Where's Pinely and Levi?"
I shrug and sit down next to him. Ace slings an arm over my shoulders making a swarm of butterflies attack my stomach. This is perfect, I can ask him now." So Ace, my mom came up with the craziest idea- Totally crazy but, Will you come over to my house to eat dinner. My mother really wants to meet you, and Pinely and Levi of course but I will love it if you came. I mean you don't have to, it's just she really wants you to. It's okay if you say no, I don't care it's just mom would be devastated." I ramble." I'll shut up now."
Ace bites his lips to stop himself from grinning." God your so fucking cute."
My face turns red immediately I can't believe I just embarrassed myself like that." So is that a yes?" I say avoiding the previous comment.
"Hell yeah that's a yes, I get to spend more time with you." His arms drop my shoulders and circle around my waist. His ruff hands pull me closer to his body in seconds. He was so close I could hardly breath.
I look down at my hands and bite my lip to stop me from saying something stupid. God why does he make me feel this way. I glance up at him to see him staring at my lips, his eyes was hazy and emotions swirled around in them.
Ace brings his hand up to thumb my lips from out my teeth." Don't do that." He says lowly.
"Why not?" I challenge him.
His eyes flash with mischief." You want to find out?"
I bite my lip again playing along." Yeah why not?"
Ace's hand slips up my cheek softly pulling me in painfully slow. This was happening I was going to kiss Ace and everything will fall into place.
Our lips were about to tou- "What is this madness I see here?" Pinely's loud voice causes us to jump apart from each other. All confidence drains from body.
I groan and move further away from Ace. Looking up in see Pinely's smirk on her face, she had her arms crossed." What were you guys about to do? Hmm?"
None of your business obviously
"Nothing" I frown.
Pinely rolls her eyes." Well that didn't look like nothing. That seemed like you guys were about to make babies on a school bench." She snorts.
My mouth drops open and my eyes narrow but Ace intercepts." Get off her case Tree."
Pinely pouts as she settles a hand on her hip." Hey don't take it out on me for witnessing your extreme PDA."
"Well we wouldn't take out on of you weren't being so obnoxious about it." I snap.
Her face scrunches up as she looks at me weirdly. " What happened to Hadley. What did you do to her?"
I sigh running a hand through my brown hair. I guess people are starting to notice my change of attitude." Nothing, just forget it." I say.
She makes up her face and takes a step closer." Like your acting like a bitch. Your usually nice and sweet but today your acting like bitch because I was joking with you."
" Just because I usually take your dumb shit doesn't make me a bitch." I snap again.
Her eyes purple eyes widen." Jesus Hadley it was a joke. No need to flip out." I realize I was being a bit too harsh.
"God I'm sorry." I apologize.
I let out a breath and look at my hands. Pinley starts to talk Ace when Levi comes into view. I feel like crap, why did I act like that to her. She was being annoying but I shouldn't have made her feel like that.
"Hey love?" I lift my eyes to meet his. I guess he sees my frown and asks," What's wrong? Do I need to beat someone up?"
I shake my head."No, it's fine. I was a little bit of a jerk."
"Hadley a jerk? No way." He scoffs.
I look over Pinley who had a amused look on her face." Its possible alright, she was being a straight up bitch-"
"Quit calling her that." Ace says angrily." That's like the only word in your vocabulary."
It goes quiet for a few seconds before Levi let's out a low whistle." I can feel the tension on here, what the hell happened?"
Pinley glares at Ace before looking at me. I couldn't tell what emotion it was circling in eyes. " Well, Ace and Hadley were getting all cozey together. They were literally about to rip each other clothes off."
My head snaps to Levi's. He was sporting an angry glare on his face." What?" He jaw ticks
My mouth drops outrageously." We. We're . Not!" I shout.
She rolls her eyes as Ace says." Green isn't a good color on you." I bite the inside of my cheek and bring my knees to my chest. I wish I just stayed an arms distance away from him then we wouldn't be having this conversation.
"Jealous? Of you Ace? Please." She snort.
Maybe she is jealous? But why?
I sigh looking away by untill I realized that I forgot to ask the rest of them" Oh my mom wants you guys to come over for dinner on Sunday. Can you come?" I say softly.
"Yeah Why not?"

Sorry this chapter was weird. It was mostly a filler but the goods will come soon. And if you haven't noticed Hadley's personality has changed slightly.
