Pregnant! Three weeks have past since Kali learned there was in fact a little being growing inside her womb. Her OB confirmed that she is now four months pregnant. Kali felt so stupid. For someone who is usually so in tune with their body she didn't know. Yes she did miss her period but since she was a teen her period has always been out of whack. But now she knew and the realization that within months she was going to be a mom was beginning to set in especially now that her once flat tummy now had a little pouch at the bottom. Yup She was going to be a mom and Carter was going to be a dad. She just hasn’t gotten around to telling him yet. Just like she hadn’t gotten around to telling him that she overreacted, that she was sorry and she wanted him back. She made up every excuse in the book so she wouldn’t have to. At first her excuses made sense. Now they were just stupid, one day she woke up and said to her self “Nope not today the sky isn't blue enough!” All because she feared what Carter’s reaction might be.
What if he didn’t want anything to do with her or this baby? He hasn't come by and its been so long since the last time he called his name wasn't even in her call log anymore. Last thing she wanted to do was force Carter into a situation he didn't want. So yes the thought of saying nothing at all and doing the single mother thing did cross her mind. Too bad neither her conscience or Patrice would have it. Carter is owed the truth and a choice. She had to tell him now before her small pouch grew out into a full blown noticeable baby belly and he heard it from somebody else.
Kali picked up Olivia’s birthday party invitation and frowned. Sasha had came by a few days ago with a very hyper Olivia in tow inviting her to her Birthday party at her uncle Cee’s house. Broken up or not both Olivia and Sasha wanted her there. Kali’s heart dropped into her stomach when the little girl mentioned him. At first she wasn't going to go but after thinking about it as selfish as it may sound she couldn't not take up the chance to see her boo again. So it was settled no more stupid excuses today was the day. Today she would look him in the eyes and tell him she was pregnant. Kali only hoped he was ready to see her. Prayed he hadn't moved on and found himself someone new or even some place holder to fill her spot.

“What’s going on in here?” Luther asked walking into Carter’s home seeing the ongoing traffic of people he didn't recognize coming in and out from the back yard.
“Liv talked me into letting her have her birthday party here.” Carter shook his head. “Couldn't say no. She must of gotten the power of persuasion from her grandmother.”
“Let’s hope not.” Luther said shaking his head. Viola was a very persuasive woman. The only woman he knew could talk a man like himself into killing his best friend. Manipulate and deceive him for years and still lives to play more games. “If she’s anything like Viola she’s going to be trouble.”
“Tell me bout it.” Carter laughed “Just give it a few year’s Tahj is gonna have his hands full.. Why don't you have any kids?” Carter felt the urge to ask. He’s been knowing Luther his entire life the man had very little family and no kids of his own. Carter couldn't recall him ever having a woman of his own either.
Luther shrugged looking his son in the eyes. “I doubt I’d do any good.”
“You did one hell of a good Job with Tahj and me. Better Job than our father ever did.”
“DeAngelo loved the both of you.” Luther reminded Carter. “He had his ways but your father loved you.”
“I guess me and Tahj drove you crazy enough huh” Carter joked not wanting to talk about his father anymore.
Luther chuckled nervously. “Yeah that's it. you lil nigga’s could drive a man mad.” Was this them having a moment? A father son moment? Luther never use to over think little thing’s like this but now he was keeping count. Mentally taking down every conversation, every encounter they shared.
“You staying for the party?” Carter asked. “It should be starting soon.” He looked at the time. In about forty five minutes his back yard would be full of children even parents. Maybe even a single mother or two. No this wasn't usually his hunting ground but him and Kali being done was actually becoming a reality now and Carter was done waiting on her to get her head together. If she didn’t realize by now that he wasn't like Banko than maybe she wasn't as smart as he thought after all. He thought a lot. He thought that for sure he and Kali were meant to be. ‘Just because you think something is meant to be doesn't mean its meant to survive’ that's what his mother would say.
“No. I’m just here to make sure everything is back on with Alic.” Luther lied he was really coming by because he had to see Carter. The truth was on the tip of his tongue but for whatever reason he couldn't say it.
“Yup Banko’s out so Alic is ready to work again.” Carter nodded. “Stay. After the kids get tired out and go home the real party begins.” If he had to put up with hyper children all afternoon tonight he’d have a party of his own.

“They have taken over.” Nate shook his head in disbelief. He’s been in Carter’s back yard more times than he could count and right now he didn’t recognize it. “Do this nigga got paint on his face?” He asked pointing Tahj out causing Carter and Don to bust out laughing.
“A butterfly.” Carter confirmed knowing Nate would never let Tahj live this moment down.
“I’m gonna snap a picture” Nate said pulling up a fold up chair and taking a seat in what has now became cane the adult corner of the back yard. Everybody was here. Even Luther’s grim reaping ass was here. Sasha and Viola were actually being civil leave it up to Olivia to get everybody together. The only person missing was Banko. Ever since Carter told him he couldn't work for him anymore Banko went off saying he wasn't fucking with them no more how they weren't loyal talking about they were choosing the Russians over him. When in reality he was out because he was messing up. Nate thought that by now he would be over it clearly he wasn't.

“Can you please talk to me!” Viola shouted at Luther. During the party she could feel him looking at her and the moment she looked back he decided to just storm into the house. They needed to talk. Now with everybody outside this was the perfect time and place. She needed to know for sure that he was going to keep his mouth shut about being Carter's father.
“I have nothing to say to you Viola!” Luther growled grabbing her arm. “And if you value your life you will stop saying anything to me.”
“Or what?” She asked. “You’d kill me?”
“Keep pushing me and I will.”
Viola’s laugh surprised him. “No you won't!” She snatched her arm away. “You still love me.” She told him. “After all these years after everything I’ve done Luther you still LOVE ME! “
“No!” Luther pushed her into nearest wall. “Bitch you lied to me. I killed DeAngelo for you I risked my fucking life for you and you lied to me. I don't love you not anymore. If it wasn't for Carter I would have hung you on one of those trees in my graveyard and watched as your soul shook its way out of your body. Remember I am a monster Viola.”
“A monster who loves his son.” Viola spoke even though she was trying not to piss herself. “If He finds out you are his father he will hate both of us. I will leave you alone you just have to promise me you wont say a word.” She was asking him to take one more secret to the grave.
Luther backed up. “I promise I will never tell Carter I am really his father.”
And he wouldn't tell. Little did they know Tahj was coming inside to retrieve some more juices from Carter's refrigerator and heard everything. His father was dead because the woman he loved made the man he trusted more than anything end his life and the betrayal didn't stop there, Luther was Carter’s father. Luther and Viola could lie to their son all they wanted but Tahj wasn't going to lie to his brother.

Sasha turned to look at her friend Gia before looking in the direction where Gia had her eyes on. “Girl Nate ain't tryna settle down.” Gia was a single mother always looking for a man. She hasn't had much luck though. She wants a future step daddy for her two kids but keeps targeting men who obviously want something else.
“Not him.” Gia shook her head. “The other one.”
Sasha gasped. “NO! Don is way too young.”
Gia rolled her eyes out of frustration. “I’m talking about Carter silly. think about it if he and I hit it off we will be in law’s.”
Sasha tried to keep her facial expressions together but she couldn't hide the fact that she disapproved. Yes Carter was single at the moment but in her eyes he belonged to Kali and only Kali.
“He’s taken.” Sasha told her.
“Well I heard he broke up with his girl.” Gia placed her hands on her hips.
“Well you.” Sasha pointed at her friend. “Heard wrong. Kali would be here any minute and I ain't gonna have no drama at my daughters party.”
