I was searching for Abbie but then someone else caught my eyes, it looks like Avril…why is she sitting by herself? She looks like she wants to be invisible, I’ll go talk to her after getting my lunch.
After I grabbed a slice of pizza for lunch I walked over to Avril and asked,
“Why are you sitting by yourself?” I asked
“Huh? Oh Austin it’s you, I didn’t see you. Sorry I was listening to music.” Avril said taking her earphones and placing them down on the table.
“It’s alright and I said why so lonely?”
“Oh uh… I don’t like socializing with other people and- I think you should go back with the crew they are probably looking for you and so is Abbie.” Avril sighed
“No, come with me I will introduce you to the crew.” I said
“No Austin I’m okay, Go have fun with them I’m not good at making friends so see you later.” Avril said standing up.
“Nope not a chance you are coming with me, now. I want you to have more friends besides me.”
“I do have friends Austin!”
“Really, name 1!” I looked at her in disbelief
“Alright, fine!” Avril gave up.
She got up and we walked over there to the crew and I introduced them to her.
“Aye guys, I want you all to meet Avril, my best friend.”
“Hey” Robert said
“Aye” Alex said
“Sup” Zach said with a grin.
“Hi” Avril said quietly.
“Guys, Avril doesn’t have other friends besides me so please be friendly to her! I am going to find Abbie and I will be right back.” I said before I left.
*Avril’s p.o.v.*
I sat in the empty seat beside Zach. It was awkwardly silent… well for me.
“So Avril, how long have you been friends with Austin?” Alex asked.
“Uh… I-it’s a-already o-over a…a yea-ar.” I stuttered since I really didn’t know them.
“Hey look we might look tough and mean looking but you don’t have to be afraid of us, we just want to get to know you. We really want to be your friends.” Robert chuckled at the part where he had said about their looks.
“Okay, look I am really sorry it’s just… I have trouble making new friends at first. I’m anti-social that is what my parents say about me.” I sighed
“It’s okay, we get it. But can you answer a few questions that we just want to know about you?” Alex asked
“Okay.” I replied.
“What is your favorite color?” Robert asked.
“Blue.”
“What is your favorite food?” Alex asked.
“Uh…next question please.”
“But you haven’t told us what your favorite food is!” Robert said.
“I don’t have one.” I replied making no eye contact.
“How can you not have one?” Zach asked with a shock tone in his voice.
“I just don’t.” I said while looking somewhere else.
“Oh okay then what about… what do you like to eat?” Robert asked.
“Uh… pizza… yeah that’s it pizza. I like to eat pizza.” I fake smiled. I just had to tell them something if not then they will think that something is up.
“Okay, Avril are you single?” Zach asked.
“Uh yeah but, I am that type of girl who doesn’t like crushing on people and having relationships until I am done with college or something.” I said. Okay I lied but they bought it. That is all that matters because they definitely can’t find out that I’m in love with Austin. It will ruin everything.
“Oh okay.” Zach bummed.
“One more question because I am getting tired.” I said.
“Okay, what do you like to do for fun?” Alex asked.
“Uh I don’t really do much. I just sit at home and listen to music on my phone. You guys probably think I am a freak now huh?” I said with a sad expression on my face.
“No! You’re not a freak! You just need to get out more and have fun!” Robert said.
“Yeah but I don’t really know where to though.”
“Let’s go to the mall after school! Can you go?” Alex asked
“Yeah I can go, but what are we going to do there?”
“Eat, shop, and play games!” Robert said.
“Uhm Okay sounds good.” I said.
Austin then walked over to us with Abbie and Skylar.
“What sounds good?” Austin asked.
“That we are going to go to the mall after school want to come?” Alex asked Austin.
“Who’s we?” Austin asked.
“Robert, Avril, Zach, and I.” Alex said.
“Wait. Avril is going? But Avril doesn’t like the mall. Last time I invited her to go she said she didn’t like it.” Austin said.
“That’s because I had to make up an excuse because Jasmine didn’t want me to go.” I replied to Austin.
“Oh never mind then and yeah I am up for the mall after school what about you Abbie and Skylar?”
Skylar turned around from kissing Robert’s lips and replied saying,
“I would love to but I can’t I have to go pick out decorations with Abbie for my brother’s birthday party, right Abbie?” Skylar turned to Abbie.
“Yeah that’s right, I’m sorry that I can’t go maybe next time.” Abbie said.
“It’s okay babe, yeah maybe next time you both can come.” Austin said as he started to make out with Abbie while Robert and Skylar had already started.
Good thing it was a Wednesday because there was only 5 periods today since it’s an early out.
“Uhm I’m just going to leave see you guys after school.” I stood up awkwardly.
“Wait Avril let me walk you to class, Alex do you want to tag along?” Zach turned to Alex.
“Yes, I would do anything to get out of that area with all of them making out.” Alex jumped up and walked with us.
*5 minutes later making our way to class*
“So Avril. Have you ever been in a relationship?” Alex asked.
“Yeah but the guy was a jerk and only thought about himself so I dumped him.” I said.
“Oh then yeah he is a jerk whoever it was.” Alex said while I just laughed.
“Well guys my class is right near this side so I will see you guys later, bye.” Zach said.
“Bye Zach.” I said
“Bye bro” Alex said
“Anyways Avril, Can I set you up on a blind date at the mall?” Alex asked.
“No Alex! I don’t want to go on any blind dates! I don’t want to be with anyone, I am perfectly good just by myself.” I said
“Please give him a chance! Please?” Alex pleaded.
“Alright fine but if he is a jerk, you better not complain when I leave the mall.” I sighed.
“Okay, Thanks Avril and I won’t!” Alex said.
“Well I have to go Alex but I will see you at the mall.” I hugged Alex and left to my 5th period.
