When the day arrived for Lucy to leave she wore a pink velvet coat, pink boots and a white hat. Of course trying to match her Marie aesthetic. The boys had packed her things and were walking down the stairs slowly. Lucy was following behind them but much slower. She liked Sabrina a lot but she wanted to stay. She wanted Sabrina to be like her mom but she wanted her here in the manor. Why couldn't it be like that? Oh right! Toby. That's why.
"Come on Lulu." Babs called from the bottom of the stairs. Lucy picked up her pace and made it to the bottom of the stairs. The boys put her bags in the car while Lucy went to Alfred and held on tight to him. Alfred picked her up. "Are you getting cold feet?" Alfred asked her. "My feet are warm. My shoes." Lucy said and pointed at her feet. Alfred shook his head. "I mean are you changing your mind about this." Alfred said. "No." Lucy lied. "It's okay to want to change your mind and it's okay to be scared." Alfred said.
"I'm not scared." Lucy said. Alfred nodded. "Everything will be okay." Alfred said. "Lucy." Sabrina called. Lucy turned her head and Sabrina held out her hand. Lucy looked back at Alfred and hugged him. "I'm gonna miss you." Lucy said. "I'll miss you as well Lucy." Alfred said and rubbed her back. "Never forget me ok." Lucy said. "I'll never forget you." Alfred said. "Promise." Lucy said and looked at Alfred. "I promise." Alfred said. Lucy nodded. Alfred put her down and she ran over to her boys. They took turns hugging her and telling her how they'll visit her.
Lucy gave Barbara a hug and last but not least Bruce. She hugged him. She didn't want to let go cause that meant saying bye bye and she didn't wanna say bye bye again to someone or well to the people she cared about most. But she knew she had to rather she liked it or not. "Bye bye daddy." Lucy said. Bruce held her. "Saturday's will be our days. I promise." Bruce said and kissed her head. He had made arrangements with Sabrina and Toby that every Saturday the Wayne family got to see Lucy.
Bruce put Lucy down and she looked at her home. "My people." Lucy said as she looked at all of them. They are her people. They love and understand her. They all smiled. Lucy took Sabrina's hand and they began to walk out the door as they were walking Lucy waved and they all waved back. Sabrina put Lucy in her car seat. Even in this car she needs a car seat?! Oh come on! She rolled down her window and kept waving at them and they kept waving back. She didn't stop waving until she couldn't see them anymore.
When they arrived to her new home it was nice. It was an apartment. Toby and Sabrina grabbed Lucy's stuff. Sabrina held her hand while going inside. They got on an elevator and Toby pushed the third floor button. The doors closed and it went up. When it stopped they got off and walked down the hall till they stopped at a door. Toby opened the door with his keys and Sabrina walked Lucy inside. Lucy looked around. "I know it's not the massive size of the Wayne manor but I hope you still like it." Sabrina said.
Lucy saw a big window and went over to. She climbed on the couch and looked out the window. She could see cars and tons of people outside. Sabrina smiled and took off her shoes. "Lucy let me show you your room." Sabrina said. Lucy turned around and got off the couch. She walked over to Sabrina and grabbed her hand ready to be lead to her new room. Sabrina took Lucy to her new room. "I hope you like the pink things." Sabrina said. Lucy smiled. "I like it." Lucy said. "I'm glad." Sabrina said. Lucy had a tv, mirror, dressers,a bed and her own closet and a window! She looked down and noticed a pink fuzzy rug. She reached down and touched it.
It was real soft. She liked that. Lucy climbed on to her bed and sat on it. She bounced on it and really looked at her room. Lucy noticed a door that was closed. "What's that?" Lucy asked. "Oh that's your bathroom." Sabrina said and opened the door. "Ohhh." Lucy said. Sabrina walked over to lucy and took off her little boots. "Sorry." Lucy said. "It's okay baby." Sabrina said and placed her shoes in her closet. Lucy nodded. She even helped Lucy take her coat off. "Now I do have to introduce you to some people." Sabrina said. "To who?" Lucy asked. "Come with me." Sabrina said. They walked out the room and back into the living room.
Lucy saw a baby on some type of mat thing and a lady with red hair. "Lucy this is Kate my cousin and this is Sam. My son. Your brother." Sabrina said. Lucy looked at the young babe who was focused on eating his feet more than anything else. She then looked at Kate who was sitting on the floor. "Hi." Lucy said waving at Kate. "Hi kid." Kate said. Lucy walked over to Sam and sat next to him. "Hi baby." Lucy said. Sam heard a new voice speak to him and turned his attention from his Yummy feet to the girl sitting next to him. Lucy smiled at him and he quickly returned the smile. Sam make squealing and laughing noises while he looked at Lucy.
Lucy sat closer to him and he quickly reached his arms up. Sabrina sat next to them and picked up Sam. "You see your sister?" Sabrina asked him. Sam squealed in response. Lucy gave him her finger to hold and he quickly took it. Toby and Kate watched as the new siblings bonded. She could get use to being a big sister! When it was time for dinner they all sat at the table well except Kate she left hours ago. As her plate was made for her she saw Toby put peas on her plate. She wanted to gag. She hates peas! Lucy scrunched up her nose. "You don't like peas." Sabrina said.
Lucy shook her head. "Well you need a vegetable." Toby said and gave lucy her plate. Mash potatoes, peas and steak. "We couldn't have broccoli?" Lucy asked. "Next time baby." Sabrina said. Lucy nodded. Sabrina fed Sam his baby food while Lucy tried to take a bite of steak. She bit it but couldn't pull it off. She tugged at it a bit until she gave up. "Let me cut that for you." Toby said. "No thank you." Lucy said. "You got it?" Sabrina asked. Lucy nodded. "Okay." Toby said. Lucy looked at the knife by Toby. "Lucy." Toby called. "Shhh." Sabrina hushed him.
The knife started floating and the began to cut into Lucy's steak. Toby's eyes widen. When her steak was done being cut the knife went back to its place by Toby. "I told you." Sabrina said. "I swear I thought you and him were joking." Toby said. Lucy took her fork and ate her cut steak. She hummed as she ate. She mixed her peas with her mash potatoes to try and mask the taste of the nasty peas. It sorta worked. Sabrina helped Lucy with her bath and then dressed her for bed when they finished. Lucy climbed into bed and tried to sleep when Sabrina left.
Lucy tossed and turned. She couldn't sleep to save her life. She sighed. She sat up in her bed and opened her window. She climbed out of bed and grabbed her coat and boots. Lucy climbed out her window and went down the fire escape. She began to walk the streets but tried not to stray too far from the apartment so she didn't get lost. Many people looked at her surprised that well a child was walking out so late but this was Gotham so no one should be too surprised. Lucy was no regular five year old so she was far from afraid of walking by herself at night.
She stopped walking when she saw a coffee shop. "Timmy." Lucy mumbled to herself. She sighed and turned back around and began to walk home. When she got home she closed her window and took off her shoes and coat tossing them in the closet. She climbed into bed and went to sleep. She woke up early the next morning but unaware of what time. She climbed out of bed and went into the kitchen. No one was up yet. Lucy grabbed a kitchen chair and pushed it towards the top cabinets. She climbed on top of the chair and then on to the counter.
She opened all the top cabinets but couldn't find anything edible to eat. She climbed down and put the chair back, she found a door in the kitchen and opened it. When she opened it she found pop tarts and other things but mainly pop tarts! She went into the closet and grabbed the brown sugar box and opened it. She grabbed her package of pop tart and then put the box back. Closing the door behind her she went to sit on the couch. Watching tv and eating her breakfast. After sometime Toby came out his shared room with Sabrina.
He saw Lucy sitting on the couch. "Why are you up so early? It's seven thirty." He said. Lucy shrugged. She was kinda use to being up at this time or later due to the boys waking her up. There was a loud cry coming from Sam's room. Toby sighed but before he could get to Sam, Sabrina was already out the room and off into Sam's room. Toby went into the kitchen while Lucy put her pop tart down on the coffee and went into Sam's room. "What's wrong with him? Not a morning person?" Lucy asked as she yawned.
"What are you doing up sweetie?" Sabrina asked Lucy as she held Sam. "I don't know." Lucy said. "He's up cause he needs a diaper change." Sabrina said. "Oh." Lucy said. "Go back to bed baby. You don't need to be up this early yet." Sabrina said. "I not tired." Lucy said while yawning. Sabrina finished changing Sam then washed her hands. She laid him back down in his crib cause he went straight back to sleep after she changed him. Sabrina picked up Lucy and they left Sam's room. "Of course you aren't tired." Sabrina said.
"I'm not." Lucy said. Sabrina nodded and walked into the living room. "Oh you found the pop tarts I see." Sabrina said and bounced Lucy. Lucy laughed and nodded. Sabrina sat Lucy down on the couch and went to the kitchen. "Have a good day honey." Sabrina said and kissed his cheek. "You too." Toby said and grabbed some things. He walked over to Lucy and ruffled her hair. "I'll see you later." Toby said. "Bye bye." Lucy said.
Toby left and Lucy ate her pop tart while Sabrina made herself some coffee. "Can I have some?" Lucy asked. "Coffee?" Sabrina asked. "Yeah." Lucy said. "Coffee isn't for children." Sabrina said. "Daddy and Timmy give me coffee." Lucy said. "Well your daddy, brother and myself shouldn't do that. But you are already use to it so sadly there's no going back." Sabrina said and made lucy a small cup of coffee. Lucy smiled real big.
