Chances pov.
I sat in the cold, dull waiting room. Staring at a plain blank wall, emotions rushing through my body and thoughts swarming my head. I've been in this hospital for 3 weeks, waiting for the doctors to tell me she's ok. Waiting for her to walk through those dead gray doors and tell me that she's better. But will she really be better? Will she even be able to walk through those doors? Will I ever hear her voice again? Will I ever get to kiss her again? Or hear her adorable laugh?
I sat in my chair as I buried my head into my hands as I cried for the millionth time in the span of just 3 weeks. She's been in a coma for 3 weeks, her hearts given out twice but she's fought through it both times. Now you must be wondering, how did we end up in this situation. She was sleeping in her apartment alone, I hadn't spent the night with her and I stayed at my house. In the middle of the night two men broke into her room and they shot her in the abdomen and pounded her head till she became unconscious. I can barely walk into her room to see her because she is torn up so badly. Guilt engulfs me every time I see her face because I knew that if I stayed that night or if I offered her to sleep at ours she would be okay, she wouldn't be in pain. I looked up and saw a nurse walk into the hallway
N=Nurse C=Chance
N - visitors for y/f/n
I quickly hopped out of my chair and towards the nurse as she led me into y/n's room. I glanced at y/n once and then stared back at the floor, her body was turning pail. She didn't look like she was going to make it, but I had fate that she would push through. That she would be okay.
N - sir, I'm sorry to inform you but if y/n doesn't wake up in the next four days we are taking her off life support.
I shook my head
C - okay
My voice trembling as I spoke and she quietly left the room. I walked over to the side of y/n's bed.
C - hey baby girl, you're fighting. And you're being so strong, they say that you've slowly been getting better but also getting worse. You've got four days left on life support before they say they have to pull the plug, I've been sitting in this hospital everyday for the past three weeks. Waiting to see you smile, waiting to look into your beautiful (color) eyes. I love you. I love you a lot y/n and I don't know what I'd do without you, I know I wouldn't be able to live without you. I know I will never find anyone like you and you will forever be the love of my life. Keep pushing baby girl, I know you can make it.
I kissed her hand as I placed my head on her hand and let a few tears fall. I heard a noise coming from machines, I looked up at her heart monitor where it showed a strong normal pace, which is rare because her heart has been skipping beats and very weak. A doctor came in and ran a few tests and checked machines.
D = Doctor
D - seems to be a miracle, her hearts back to normal which is a good sign that she can make it.
He patted my shoulder as he left the room, closing the door behind him.
C - you got this baby
I fell asleep in the chair next to her bed, holding onto her hand for dear life. I felt a slight grip on my hand so I opened my eyes and looked at y/n'a face, her eye lids fluttered but remained closed. I tubbed her arms
C - come on baby, come on
* 2 days later *
N - sir today's the last day
I nod my head and I stare at y/n laying in her bed, I set a bouquet of flowers next to her bed and I played her favorite song. It was Harry Styles, Sign of the times. She would listen to it everyday before the incident.
C - I love you baby, and I will never give up on you
I leaned over her bed and placed a small kiss on her cold chapped lips.
She began to stir around in her bed which made my eyes grew and she slowly opened her eyes but squinted them shut do to the light
C - doctor, doctor, I need a doctor
A nurse ran into the room and a doctor behind him
N - sir what seems to be the problem
C - she's awake, her eyes are open
I began to smile like a maniac and stare at y/n as the doctors ran tests and spoke to her. We finally made eye contact and she showed me a slight smiled
Y/n - I love you too
........... flat line ............. (JK THIS HOE AINT DEAD)
