Sometimes, a few little words are all you need to start a revolution.

I sat there.
And I stared blankly.
And then, I started to cry.
I cried and I cried and I cried until I ran out of tears.
Then it was just me sobbing alone, trying g to hide my pain in the bathroom,trying to go unnoticed. Trying to blend in with the pale, blue tiles on the wall. Trying to escape the world with a razor blade.
It's sad to admit how much power that little razor blade had that night.
The night my dad died.
The pain was overwhelming, and I had lost so much blood. I passed out.

I woke up, startled, when I heard a voice.
"Jada."
Again, the voice.
"Jada, wake up."
I felt the owner of the voice shake me gently, do with a heavy heart, I sat up.
"Jada, thank god," I heard the voice say, as it saw me sit up. In front of me was my mother.
But her smile soon turned to a deep frown as she saw my tear stricken face and the cuts on my arms.
"Jada, I know how you feel about this. But you're going to a psychologist."
And so with those little words, my life was about to change.
