In this chapter they're going to call each other by their human names and not by country.
"Hey Yao, where are we going?" Asked Vietnam as she, Japan and China walked through the newly built China Town.
"We're going to the New Year Festival" Replied China.
Vietnam followed him to a mini festival in the town square.
"Come on Lien, let's play some games!" Said Japan as he held out his hand.
"Okay Kiku" Vietnam said taking it.
"Stay together you two!" Shouted China (China is like the older bro), "I'll be right here!"
"Okay!" Shouted Japan, "Let's go!"
The festival was filled with joy, laughter, drums and lanterns. Japan led Vietnam to a small boothe filled with small goldfish swimming in a small pool.
"Here"Said Japan handing her a small bug catching net, "Scoop up the fish like this"
"Okay" Vietnam said trying to scoop up the little fish, "Kiku, it's so hard! How do you make it look so easy?"
"You have to keep still Lien" Said Japan laughing.
"How can I keep still if your laughing?"
"Aww! Looks like Lien and Kiku are a couple now!" Korea said teasingly.
"Im Yong Soo!" Japan said surprised, "Qu-Quiet!"
"Are you sure you know how to play Lien ana?" Asked Thailand.
"Yes, I know how. I think" Replied Vietnam.
"Liiiieeeeennn!" Thaiwan said tackling Vietnam in a hug.
"Xiao Mei! Your soffocating me" said Vietnam.
"Mei, your going to kill her" Said Thailand.
"Siam she's not dead yet" Thaiwan said sticking out her tounge at her brother.
"Yet" Said Thailand.
"Hey! Chun!" Shouted Korea, "Stop spacing out and get over here!"
"Hi" Hong Kong said walking up to Japan.
Japan bowed in responce, "Hello"
"Where's Yao?"
"I'm not sure, but I think he went to get some kitty chan plushies"
"Oh, I see"
"Mei! Where are we going?!" Shouted Vietnam as she was being dragged by Thaiwan.
"I wanna go dance!" Shouted Thaiwan.
"Hey! Wait for us!" The guys shouted rushing over.
"Wooow!" They all said in awe.
Everyone was dancing with each other with joy along with the drums and flutes. Firecrackers went off in the night illuminated by the red lanterns that hung everywhere. The music stopped and changed to a more upbeat song and everyone grabbed a partner of the opposite gender.
"Let's dance Chun!" Thaiwan said grabing Hong Kong's hand and dragging him over to the crowd.
Vietnam giggled as she felt happy for Thaiwan and saw Hong Kong's astonished blushing face. Then she felt a hand grab hers, and saw Japan standing next to her.
"Shall we dance Lien?" Japan asked.
Vietnam nodded and answered, "Sure" she was then led by Japan to the crowd, following Thaiwan and Hong Kong.
Thailand sighed and turned to Korea, "I can't beleive I'm saying this but, Korea would you like to be a girl for a day?"
"Of course" Replied Korea in a girly voice and doing a hairflip.
"Kiku I'm not very good at these dances" Vietnam said trying to keep up with Japan.
"It's fine your doing great" Said Japan.
Then they heard the drums go off and a golden and silver dragon costume for dances come out as people cleared the way. It seemed that there was only one person in it though. The dragon hopped stepped to the beat of the music and seemed to be heading towards Vietnam, Japan, Thaiwan, Hong Kong, Korea and Thailand. It stopped infont of them and bowed down it's head, Vietnam reached her hand to pet it and it jerked it's head back and backflipped away towards Thaiwan and bit Thaiwan's sleeve and dragged Thaiwan to the middle with Hong Kong dragged along, then Thaiwan screamed as it bit Thaiwan's head whole. Once it let go Thaiwan wispered something in Hong Kong's ear and they both left with the dragon following. Then the dragon came back now with two people in it.
"Ahhh!" Shouted Thailand as he was pulled away
"Siam!" Vietnam shouted as he was pulled away.
"Buh, Bye!" Korea waved as he realized he was being pulled away as well.
"Im Yong!"shouted Japan.
Japan And Vietnam were the only ones left.
"Kiku, I'm scared" Vietnam said as her hands trembling.
"Could this be what Yao was talking about? When one day, the countries would go at war with each other, which would mean kidnapping? And if the kidnapper didn't get what he wanted.......then death?" Thought Vietnam.
"It's okay Lien I'll protect you" Japan said squeezing her hand.
Then the drums got louder and another dragon joined in, and both dragons circled Vietnam and Japan.
"I-I wish Yao was here" Said Vietnam as she held Japan's hand.
"Me too" Said Japan.
"YAO!" Vietnam cried, "YAO WHERE ARE YOU!?"
There was no reply, Vietnam felt tears dripping along her cheek. "where are you Yao? Please be safe..... ...and alive"
Then a female version if the mask man joined in the circle chasing the dragons. Both dragons came up to Japan and Vietnam shaking their heads. Vietnam couldn't take it anymore, she grabbed her paddle and poked it in their mouths and bonked the heads of the people inside.
"Owwwww, Aiyaa aru"
"Sensei, you fell on me"
"Ow, I think I have a giant steam bun on my head ana"
"Vietnam's paddle strikes always get you real close to coma"
"Wait, t-t-those voices. Can it really be?" Vietnam gasped.
"I think it is" Japan said as he lifted off the costumes. Which revealed China, Hong Kong, Korea, and Thaiand.
"Then that would mean... Mei?" Vietnam said looking at the masked Woman.
"Yep!" She said taking off her mask.
"Guess we were found out aru" Laughed China, who was then slapped by Vietnam with tears of relief forming in the corner of her eyes.
"Do You Know How Worried I Was!?" Vietnam cried, "I-I thought that w-we-we were going to-to get kidnapped! And everyone was going missing, and-and we were alone, and I-I thought y-you were, you were dead!"
"I-I'm sorry Lien, I just wanted to make you even more happy" China said trying to hug her. But Vietnam pushed his hand away.
"You only made me worried" Vietnam said turning her back to him.
"Aiyaa, I'm getting scolded by my younger sister aru" China said sighing.
"Come on let's go home Lien, it's getting late" Japan said patting her back.
"O-okay" Vietnam said, her voice barely audible.
"Well we'll see you tomorrow" Thaiwan said aquwardly.
China, Japan, and Vietnam waved and went back home, but no one spoke a word as they left.
____Magical panda dance time skip to China's house_______
"I'm gonna go to my room" Said Vietnam.
"Okay" Said Japan.
Once she left, China sat down and sighed hugging Ping the panda. "Why is she so mad at me?"
"She was really worried about you" Said Japan, "And you have to remember, Lien doesn't like showing weakness"
"I know but I just wanted her first new year to be happy"
"I think that she was worried about what you said when you were telling her the dangers of being a country"
"Kiku do you know anything I can do to let her forgive me?"
"There is one thing"
____Sparkly time skip by rolling sushi______
"Lien, it's Kiku can I come in?"
The door to her room creaked opened and Japan walked in seeing Vietnam hugging her knees on her bed and hugging a stuffed Kitty-chan.
"Lien, are you okay?" Japan asked
"Yeah, I'm fine"She said into her knees.
"Come on I wanna show you something!" Japan said grabing her hand and dragging her out the room.
"Kiku! Where are we going!?"
"To the Garden!"
"Wow! It's so pretty!" Vietnam said in awe.
The garden was filled with bright diffrent colored lanterns A table was set up with steam buns, dim sum, and tea. The table cloth was a crimson red lined with golden dragons .
"Kiku, what is all of this?" Said Vietnam.
"Just take a seat and you will find out" Japan answered pulling out the chair for her to sit.
Vietnam sat down and Japan took his seat and said "Have some food"
"Okay" Vietnam said taking the wooden chopsticks.
Then they heard the sound of fire crackers. Vietnam looked towards the source and found China lighting up more fire crackers.
"Yao!" She shouted, he turned to look at her, "Watch out!"
Then the firecrackers which surrounded China went off.
"Aiyaa!" China shouted jumping around, trying to avoid the sparks.
"You idiot!" Vietnam shouted running over to help. She took out her paddle and splashed the water over at the fire crackers. The fire died out and China sat in surprise.
"Yao! Are you okay!?" Japan asked running up to him.
"Yeah, I'm fine aru" Answered China, "Vietnam looked liked that one girl from that anime America showed me that controls water aru"
"You mean Avatar the Last Airbender?" Said Japan.
"Yao, you're so clumsy" Vietnam said helping him up.
"Hah really aru?" Said China scratching his head.
Then Vietnam scolded China, again. Japan sighed worried that Vietnam might kill him.
"Aiyaa Lien, you're like my little sister and you're scolding me, it's embarrasing aru" Said China, "And Mei, Yong Soo, Siam, and Chun are hidding in the bushes"
"What!?" Vietnam shouted as they came out the bushes.
"Lien, Has Yao been a bad boy?" Asked Korea, who was then bonked on the head with her paddle along with Siam and Chun.
"Are you all idiots?!" Vietnam scolded, "Yao was almost on fire and you just hid in the bushes and hid instead of helping put it out?"
They looked at each other and tried to come up with an excuse but was hit with the paddle instead.
"Are they going to be okay?" Asked Thaiwan.
"Knowing Lien, probbably alive but bruised" Said Japan.
"Poor Yao, he's getting scolded the most" Said Thaiwan.
"Mei! Kiku! Come over and eat! It will be a while until they wake up anyway" Yelled Vietnam.
"Okay!" They both said running to the table.
