Friends With Benefits: Chapter 1
I slam my locker shut, stuffing my books into the already disastrous mess.
"Uh, Sadie?" my best friend Brooke asked,
"What?!" I snapped, frustrated.
"Why can't he stupid books just, like, disappear?!"
Brooke rolls her eyes, obviously trying not to laugh.
"It's not funny!" I complain, "I swear the books hate me!"
"Relax... They love you. Think happy thoughts!"
Brooke replied, trying to sound optimistic.
I ignore her, walking to lunch.
"Sadie!"
I turn, searching for the voice of my other best friend, Liam.
"Lee!" I squeal, running over and tackling him in a giant hug.
"Hey Sadie... have any locker trouble today?"
I laugh, about to reply, when suddenly,
"Liam!!!!!" I high-pitch, squeaky voice interrupts my conversation.
"Hannah! How um... Nice to see you!" I try and fail to act friendly.
"Whatever!" she scoffs, dragging Liam towards her table. "Come on Liam! Hurry up!"
Liam makes a pathetic attempt at waving goodbye.
"Bye, to you too..." I mutter, and walk off towards my table becoming quickly engrossed in my book.
