The next night the names were being chosen from the cup. After we thought everyne was chosen, another name flew out...It was my name. I was so confused. I didn't put my name in.
A few days later I was planning on asking a girl to go to the Yule ball with me, but my close friends that are girls were already asked, or really just Hermione and Luna. So I thought i would ask this really pretty girl who i've had a crush on for a little while named Cho. Apperently, she already had a date...Cedric...
No one else came to mind at the moment when suddenly I rememered Addie. With Addilyn's looks and personality, she definitely must have been asked........But why not I was already turned down once...right?
Saturday, I found Addilyn sitting alone in the commons on the small couch. She was reading a book in italian. "You speak italian?" I asked as i approched her and sat down next to her. she laughed "Hi Harry" she said as she looked up and smiled at me. Something about her made me feel like i have known Addie my whole life.
"What's up?" she asked me as she closed her book and put it on her lap. "I was wondering if you had a date to the Yule Ball?" I asked but I'm not sure how it sounded. "No, I don't...why?" I could see it in her eyes that she knew where this was going but she let me continue. "I...I was wondering if you would like to go to the ball with me?" I said it as calm as possible. Addilyn smiled "I would love to."
Addie looked at the clock and then stands up and looks back at me "Quidditch practice in 10 minutes...meet you there?" I stood up and said "how about we meet right here in 5?" Addie glances at me, then to the clock, the up the stairs and back at me and says, "3." We smile at each other then she grabs her book and walks up the staircase.
I wait until she is up the stairs and in her dorm before I head to mine. I quickly change into my red Quidditch robes and walk out of the boys dorm. Perfect timing too, Addie's door unlocked and opened as she walked out.
Her hair is pulled back into a pony tail, and on the right side there was a French braid that starts in the front and vanishes when it reaches the hair tie. I stop and let her walk in front of me. I see the back of her Quidditch robes DIGGORY 15.
We walk out of the common room and walked side by side to the Quidditch field making small talk along the way.
Today, during the scrimmage, I made an effort to see how well of a chaser Addilyn really was. She was amazing! She could trick Oliver and get the Quaffle in the rings. I know Oliver and he would never porpousely let anyone score.
After practice, I caught up with Addie walking extreamly fast to the common room.
Before I could tell her how good of a chaser she was, its almost like she knew I was there she said, a little out of breath, "Hey tonight Hermione and I are going to Hagrids and we were thinking if you and Ron wanted to join?" "Sure!" I replied she kept up her fast pace and just as I started to fall behind, she glanced at me and said "Great! see you there."
I watched her climb up the moving staircase to the commons.
