Emily's pov
I drag my crumbling legs into the ambulance, 3 paramedics surrounding Alison, shouting words I don't understand. Their words echoing as a buzz. My friends calling out to me as the ambulance doors close. I fall into a seat next to Alison gripping onto her hand fearful to let go.
"You don't look well Ms. Fields do you need someone to look at you?"
I shake my head, she needs to help Ali not me
"Okay. What's with your friends and shootings?" another paramedic laughs, trying to lighten the mood but his inappropriate joke makes my blood boil
"Excuse me?" I ask
"Well aren't you friends with Ezra Fitz and Caleb Rivers oh at that Spencer Hastings girl, she was shot a few years ago. I remember hearing about it. She almost died, luckily for her she was shot in the shoulder and it wasn't somewhere too life threatening... like" he turns to Alison "well like your wife here"
"If you don't shut up it'll be your life that's in danger" I yell, throwing my hands towards his throat
I stop myself just as the tip of my nail scrapes his neck, he needs to be alive, to give Alison her best chance. We arrive at the hospital and Alison is wheeled into theatre, I do my best to stay beside her the whole time but I eventually get pushed away by a doctor.
"Emily" I hear a voice shout
"Jason?" His hair is even longer and he looks like a hobo
"I heard what happened. Our dad... Ali's dad is coming soon"
I sit beside Jason, anxiously waiting for Alison to return
"Mrs DiLaurentis?"
I stand up and walk towards the nurse, picking my nails as I walk. My mouth is dry and my whole body is shaking.
"Your wife is out of surgery"
I run into her hospital room, Jason and Kennith slowly follow me
"Alison" I shout, as I push the door open
She has been put into an induced coma and is wired to a life support machine
"She lost a lot of blood but we successfully took the bullet out and have stoped the internal bleeding"
"Thank you Doctor and roughly how much is this going to cost?" Kennith asks
"How much is this going to cost? Are you fucking kidding me, your daughter almost died and all you care about is money. You know what just leave" I scream
He looks at me shocked by my reaction
"Get out!" I shriek
Kennith leaves and drags Jason out with him
"Alison please come back to me. Don't give up. Lily and Grace need their mommy" I whisper, stroking her cheek
"Does Emily need her mommy?" My mom asks, chapping on the door frame
"Mom" Cry, pulling her into a tight hug
"How is she?"
"She's stable"
"Emmy she'll be fine. She's a strong woman"
My mom walks over to Alison and holds her hand; she sits in the seat I had previously been sitting on
"Hello Alison, its Pam here"
"You're not leaving a voicemail Pam. Get a grip" she mutters to herself
"Alison you promised me that Emily would always have a family with you. I hope you aren't going to let this break your promise. You make my daughter very happy, I need you to come back and continue to make my Emily... our Emily the happiest girl in the world. I now have two daughters and I don't want to have to go back down to one" My mom lightly kisses Alison's forehead
"I'm going to go get a coffee Emily" She smiles

The chair next to the hospital bed was my home for the next few weeks, it's threads multiply everyday, the bright red canvas turning pink as the days go on. My hand imprinted onto Alison's. Several days of sleep lost, but there was no way I was going to leave Alison's side.
Alison had been in hospital for 26 days there had been complications during her treatment but it was finally time to take her home.
Ali's pov
"Emily honestly I can walk to the house myself" I laugh
"I know. I'm just worried"
"You've not left my side for almost a month, except to go home and shower then come straight back. I'm beginning to get sick of your beautiful face"
I take Emily's hand as we walk into our house
"Mommy" Lily and Grace cheer in unison
I've only stepped one foot in the door and I'm already glad to be home. I walk through the house to my bedroom. Jason is in the living room - he was looking after the girls for us.
"Ali, Emily come see this" he presses play on the remote and the news starts again
"Five teenage girls, who can not be named for legal reasons, will appear in court at the end of this week following a recent shooting" the reporter says with no emotion in his face
Emily rolls her eyes at the tv
"At least they didn't mention us we've been on the news more times than he has" I laugh

At the court trial I tried my best to keep the 4 girls out of trouble; blaming it all on Addison.
"Does the jury find the defendant Addison guilty or not guilty of kidnap?"
"Guilty" a tall thin woman from the jury says, she repeats this verdict four more times

Emily pulls me closer to her, gently rubbing my gunshot wound. Addison didn't try to kill me it was an accident but she threatened my daughters and friends lives, I wanted her to pay for that
"Not guilty" the juror says
The day after the trial we returned to the court, the judge sentenced Addison to 8 years in prison for the kidnap of 4 children and a further 2 years for illegally carrying a firearm. She got a total of 10 years in prison however, since she was underage she'll spend a few years of her sentence in juvie. The other four girls received 6 years for preventing the course of justice and aiding in the kidnap of four children, which they will also serve in juvenile detention.
"Two years for shooting you. That's all?" Emily screeches
"Em we should be grateful. Alex shot Spencer and all she got was a couple years in Mona's basement"
"Personality, I think I'd rather go to juvie" Aria giggles
Over our laughs I can hear a quiet tapping noise. Jenna is here.
"Spencer. Hanna. Aria. Emily" she nods her head towards them as she calls their names
"And Alison"
"What do you want?" I snap
"I want to thank you for getting rid of that bitch for me. I didn't like that Addison girl" she replies
"I didn't get rid of her, she did that herself. I didn't do anything"
"Oh but you did Alison. You all let her kidnap your children and you let her shoot you. Thank you" she says tapping her way out of the court
"She still creeps the hell out of me"
"Wonder if she's gone to find her friend Bashful" Hanna sniggers
"The dwarf?"
"No the horse"
"Han, what are you talking about?" Spencer asks
"Jenna and the horse, the Alex busters. Uck It doesn't matter" she huffs
