Betty woke up to a blaring sound as she pounded the top of the small screeching box that sat on her bedside table. She was well over sleep-deprived and starving from not having eaten in nearly three days. Betty knocked the sheets aside and slowly rose from her bed, slipping her feet into the slippers by her dresser as she made her way to the mirror to see what damage the restless night had done to her appearance. The bags under her eyes seemed miles deep and it looked as though her skin had aged a couple years. Betty groaned and threw on enough concealer to hide her bags for weeks, then she made her way to her wardrobe in time to put on one of her boyfriends oversized shirts and some leggings. She grabbed her phone and backpack and made her way (slowly but surely) down the stairs to grab breakfast, no one was home and Jughead was supposed to be meeting her across the road in a few minutes like they did every morning. Betty finished her breakfast and grabbed all her stuff only now acknowledging the searing headache she had, had since she woke up.
