First Drafts
- Storm Within -
The sound of rain pouring outside her window is in sync with the steady rhythm of her heart. She watches the rain drip from her window, and her fingers slowly traces the water remains on the glass, forming symbols and shapes she ought to draw.
She looks out the window and focuses her eyes, but it was too much of a blur, a little too similar to her thoughts. But she could see the lights from cars that passed by, and somehow it gave her hope. A hope so fragile she kept it safe inside deep down her heart.
Her mind starts pouring out emotions violently, but the rain outside was still calm and soothing, it made her insides turn into a storm she couldn't fathom.
She tries to control the storm that grew inside of her but it began to flood her heart and the hope she kept drowned as she cries out loud begging for it to stop. Her cries sounded like thunders and the tears dripping stung her skin like lightning.
She wishes for a rainbow
but instead the storm turned into a hurricane.
