I found myself on a white table with blue lights lining the sides when I tried sit up a strong hand pushed me down. "Where am I," I asked. "You are in homestead number 194," a mans voice said. There was no way I was in homestead 194 that was my old one, it had long since been raided. Another dream I thought. A doctor holding a needle walked up and gave me a shot, almost immediately I started feeling dizzy and, lightheaded. "Wait how," was all I managed to croak out. "You volunteered to be a test subject for an ultra watch," the doctor said. Whatever vision I had before slipped away leaving me in a blurry white haze. I shot up and found myself in a prison cell, cannies I thought. Cannies are, well used to be people, but feeding on other humans isn't the ideal way to eat so they lost all their hair and they became deformed animals. As if to prove my point a cannie walked into the cell hallway. For the first time I looked around and saw that I wasn't alone, there were other people wearing the same outfit ragged pants and no shirt. The light off my watch illuminated the dark cell around me, just enough for me to see that to my right was a old man skinny to the bone so hungry he was reaching out over the bars trying to grab me, and to my left I saw a mother with her daughter "mommy I'm scared," said the little girl. "It will all be alright," the mother replied pulling her in for a hug. At that moment a scream echoed through the hall as a woman to my far left was being pulled away out of the room. I looked away and walked to the front of the cell and saw a knife, no not a ordinary kitchen knife it was a full blown combat knife the kind the army used. A plan began to form in my head when the cannies opened my cell I would rush them grab the combat knife and find a way out of this prison.
Thirty five minutes later
That was what my watch said at the top of the screen it had been thirty five minutes since I had awoken. That was that looking around I saw how messed up our world was, some would say that I had finally awoken. Good they finally took the old man to my left he had been trying to eat me the whole thirty five minutes. Finally the cannies arrived at my cell as soon as they opened it I ran as fast as I could and, jumped over them (it was easy cause they run on four legs😉) and rolled picking up the knife when I landed and turned around not to face one or two cannies but fourteen "oh crap," I said.
