Century's POV
I released Ford out of his leash. He started running while Galaxy's trying to chase him. Maagang umalis si tita Jenna and iyak ng iyak si Century so here we are sa park... in this so early morning trying to cheer her up. Sinama na din namin si Ford so they can play together.
"Not so far, you mutt!" Luke yelled.
Siniko ko siya. Ni hindi nga askal si Ford. He's pitbull mixed with some other breed pero dominant ang pitbull blood niya.
"Ouch!"
We just sat there looking at Galaxy and Ford. I'm in deep thoughts about the race. I received Primo's exact date and time. It's tonight.
"Century, what do you think of doing something fun tonight?"
I made a face. 'Like?'
"You see, there's this place the boys and I want to go to and maybe you'd like to come with us?"
'Wer is it exactly?'
He grinned "you'll see"
I rolled my eyes 'pass'
I was about to leave school when someone bumped my shoulder.
"Sor--"
It's Nicoli. He's holding a letter from OSA and I caught a glimpse of his excuse slip. He was absent for almost--- I can't remember, but the last time he attended lectures was... can't remember still. Ang alam ko lang, ngayon ko lang uli siya makikita pagkatapos nilang bilhin ang bahay ng papa ko.
"Hey there, Cent. I missed you, pup" he pinched my nose.

I waved at him.
"I'd love to chat with you but I need to get my class cards back. Been gone for too long they dropped my cards" he clicked his tongue and waved bye.
"Cent!" I turned around so I can see him "I'll see you tonight!" he yelled before he turned left.
My brows met. Wag mong sabihing...
Just after Nic disappeared, my phone buzzed. I have a message from Big Shaq and it confirms my thoughts. Nicoli will be racing tonight.
Luke's POV
"At bakit may overnight ka?"
Nagpapa-alam kasi si Century na makiki-overnight daw siya sa classmate niya.
'There's this project my group in one subject need to do. It's for graduating class and I need to attend that'
"Oh sure, honey. I know it's a hassle work 'cause you guys are about to graduate soon. Do you need anything? How about some cash?" my dad asked.
Mandaraya talaga kahit kelan. Dahil ba graduating 'tong isang to ganun ganun na lang siyang payagan agad. Samantalang 'yong sleepover ko dapat mamaya kina Danny, na-reject.
"Hoy dad, may mga gagawin din dapat kami nina Danny. Groupwork yon. Napakahirap gawin kapag andito ako sa bahay samantalang nandun silang lahat" nakanguso kong reklamo.
"Wala akong paki. Mag groupchat kayo"
I gasped. "Savage!"
"Hoy! The last time na nagpaalam kang makiki-sleepover, nandoon kayo sa casino!"
"I told you, oldie, hindi ako 'yon"
"Lelong mo"
"Dad!" I pointed at Century. Palabas na 'yong pipi habang nag-aaway kami ng matandang 'to. "Palayas na siya o! Payagan niyo na kasi ako! May gagawin nga kaming project eh. Ayaw mo yatang makapag-graduate din ako eh."
Century stuck her tongue at me before she closed the door. Sabunutan ko 'yon eh.
Kung bakit naman kasi wala si mom para may kumampi sa'kin. May out of town siya para sa isang charity event at walang rerescue sa'kin ngayon. Huhuhu
"Matagal ka pa, boy"

Century's POV
"Here's your earpiece" Big Shaq handed me the device. Through it, I will be able to hear his instructions. Big Shaq got camera's along the racing area and that's a big help because we can see free ways where I can pass through. It's a drag race and there are no rules so racers can do anything to win.
'Thank you'
"Nicoli knows you're one of the six racers"
I nod.
"We don't know how he drives but if he does something dirty, don't let him get you. Race your way out and don't let his presence get over you"
'Okay'
"The moment I got the map, your GPS will show you."
'Got it'
"Ready?"
I nod.
Big Shaq opened the door for me and I sat down behind the wheels. "Don't die, kid"
I smirked. "Here's your lucky charm" he gave me my necklace. I was wearing it the last time I raced. It's the same as Luke's wolf but mine's with a cross.
'Thank you'
I fist bumped his knuckles before I left.
I reached the place and some chick's already waiting. It's an abandoned parking area with just few lights on. Akala ko nauna ako pero may isa pa palang sasakyan sa bandang unahan.
"Place?" tanong ng bebot. She's wearing a crop top, short shorts with fish net and boots. I moved my eyes up to her boobs, they're really... enormous.
I breathe on my window to cloud it then wrote '4'.
She walked to... I supposed my area and signaled me to park there.
I killed my engine just before two cars came. Tinuro din ng bebot kung saan and lugar nila. It's really weird kasi nasa left side ko 'yong isa at nasa harap naman niya 'yong isa. They're facing each other and I really don't get it.
11:30 PM ang start ng race and it's already 11:15 PM. I normally don't get this angst feeling but now I do. Something about this race makes me no chill.
11:21, I saw Nicoli's car. His position is in front of me. He dimmed his headlight and we're looking at each other eye-to-eye. I know he can't see me because my windshield and all my windows are heavily tinted. He smiled tho and flicked his light before turning his engine off .
I then noticed the crowd, huge crowd. They're sitting on bleachers and some on the walls. Two guys are collecting money. Alam kong para sa pustahan 'yon.
11:26 nung dumating ang huling racer. Sa harap siya ng unang sasakyan na dumating. They're also facing each other.
I looked at the chick when she whistled loudly.
"1!"
The car on Nicoli's left honked.
"2!"
The car on my right honked.
"3!"
Nicoli honked.
"4!"
That's me.
"5!"
It's the one on Nicoli's right.
"6!"
The last one who came. The one on my left.
We are positioned:

2 4 6
Each are facing a car in front of them. And I dunno how will I maneuver my car out.
Bright lights suddenly switched on and I can now clearly see the chick's face. She's holding a white flag.
"Welcome racers!" She pointed at my row. "No stops! No brakes!" She pointed at the opposite side "No second chances!"
"Engines!"
We all start our engines.
"Lights!"
We switched our lights on. The crowd turned wild when we started to rev our gas.
"Race!" The chick dropped the flag and Nicoli bumped my car.
