I'm on the edge.
I need to do it.
I need to jump.
//Keith P.O.V//
I'm running.
I don't know where but I need to find Shiro.
//Shiro P.O.V //
The drop is about 150 feet.
The chance of death is certain.
I don't know when, but soon.
I don't want to jump, but I have to. I've messed to many things up.
But I'm held back.
Like someone is calling to me.
//Keith P.O.V//
"Shiro! Don't!"
He's on the edge of the ship, leaning over.
When he hears my call his head turns to me.
Tears drench his face.
"Shiro please, step away."
"I'm sorry Keith." He cries, "I- I don't wanna do this."
His face turns from fear to determination.
"But I have too."
//Shiro P.O.V//
"NOOOO!!" Keith's cry fades in to the surroundings.
I love you Allura. With all my heart. And I realize now I've made a mistake. I don't wanna be with Keith. I want to be with you, Allura. But things are ruined because of me.
"Remember me.." I whisper to the darkness.
I'm falling. The air is dancing around me. For once in my life I feel at peace with my future.
//Keith's P.O.V//
"NOOOO!!"
Shiro disappears into darkness.
In shock, my knees buckle in.
"Why world..?" I whisper.
"WHY WORLD!! TELL ME!" I yell to the sun, hoping I get an answer.
I pound the ground with my fists.
"He didn't deserve to leave!"
"I know. We all know."
I turn my head slightly to see the whole Voltron Team behind me.
Pidge has tears in her eyes. "He didn't.."
She breaks down in tears and turns away from me.
Hunk is behind Pidge with a tear running down his face and a look of shock etched on it. I don't think he can process this either.
And Coran, he looks as if he is trying to keep strong, but his body is shaking and his hand is over his face.
Allura is in the far back, she's on the floor in a ball, crying.
I look away and gulp, and then back at the canyon.
"Could he have..?"
Pidge looks at me, I know she doesn't want to answer.
But she still quietly mutters, "No..."
Suddenly I'm pushed out of the way.
Allura's now not crying, but hyperventilating.
"He's not gone Allura!", she says to herself, "He's just fine! All he wanted to do was cliff jump! Nonono silly! He didn't kill himself! He just, wanted a rush if adrenaline!"
She suddenly falls over on herself, crying hysterically once again.
"No, no, no.."
"Allura lets get you back inside.." Coran says as he lifts up Allura's arm.
"No! Let me go!" She yells as she tries to wiggle away.
Coran just silently motions for Hunk to come over to help escort Allura back into the castle.
Her screams of protest fade as they drag her back into the castle.
I sit in silence for what seems like forever.
//Lance P.O.V//
"Shiro!"
He just jumped. I need to save him.
"I'm coming!"
My lion seems to move faster than ever.
Right before Shiro hits the ground, the world freezes.
"What the hell?" I say out loud.
Everything around me is frozen, my lion, Shiro.
But I can move.
My first instinct is to lunge for Shiro's frozen body.
But I'm stopped in my tracks at the sound of a familiar voice.
"Shi- Shiro?"
I follow the noise, relaxing that once I get closer, the words are clearly screams.
I'm running to the source of the noise.
And then I see it.
Shiro's memories.
It's Shiro, in the Galra chamber. They have his arm pinned down. Both are still human.
He's yelling, " Stop! What are you doing? Let GO!"
One Galra soldier lifts a strange tool,vans begins lowering it to Shiro's arm.
I have a feeling what's coming next, so I look away.
His screams will haunt me forever.
As soon as the next one ends another one starts. But this one is shorter. More, happy. I'm looking at Shiro through his eyes as a baby. Is, that his dad?? There's and explosion...
Once again it ends and another one starts. This one is so short I can barley make out what it is. It's Shiro purchasing, a ring?
Once again it ends, but this time, what seems like millions of memories zip past me, surrounding me.
It's like it was my memories.
I can make out only a few, Galra Ships, Allura, Keith, Family, Voltron.
As suddenly as they started, they stop. But there is one last memory.
The last memory plays.
It's me, video taping Shiro and putting his phone in his face.
I listen to all the harsh words, and how awful I've been to him.
I need to save him. And I need to fix things.
Not caring about the ending of the memory, I run over to Shiro's frozen body. It's about 2 feet from hitting death.
I pull out my gun and blast the side of the canyon, making a big chunk of it coke loose and roll down to my feet.
I position the rock very careful under Shiro, so it nearly touching him.
I then wrap my arm around him. Preparing to lift with all my might, hopefully softening his fall.
It seems like forever I sit there, waiting for the world to return to a normal state.
Just when I'm about to agree with the fact I'm stuck in this state of the world, Blue's eyes turn on.
It's now or never.
Should I do a countdown?
A rock that was above Shiro tumbles down and nearly missed our heads.
No, it's now or never.
I lift with all my might, trying to soften his falls.
Damn he's fucking heavy.
I set him down on the rock chair, hoping he is okay.
"Shiro? Shiro are you alright?!" I ask frantically.
He tries to mumble something.
"What Shiro? I can't hear you!"
I lean in closer.
"You- bastard." He mutters.
"I'm- so sorr-"
"You saved my life." He finishes.
He opens his eyes and a tear rolls down my cheek.
"Thank you. I am eternally greatfull. I don't know what I was thinking."
He smiles.
I smile back.
I can't help myself. I embrace him in a hug.
"I'm just so sorry I can't believe I'd do that."
I keep repeating apologies over and over again.
"Lance"
He interrupts.
"Can I go see Allura now?"
"Of course."
