The doctors told me that my mom found me in a pool of my own blood.
I guess I should have locked the door or something, but I've been working hard at not blaming myself for everything, so I guess I'll just say the universe didn't want me to die yet.
Ever since that night I've been at the hospital. They won't let me leave until they think I'm mentally stable enough to go home.
Alex has been visiting me almost every day. I'm actually really glad I didn't die because I have grown really attached to him. He always gives me hugs and kisses my scars when he visits. And when he sees me cry he has to hold back his own tears.
"Mia?" a doctor asked one day.
"Yeah," I responded.
"You have a visitor,"
I mumbled an okay before a very familiar body came through my door.
"Hi," he said.
I almost had a heart attack right then. I looked down at my hands, trying to determine if this was a dream or not. But this was not a dream, and I was still alive, and the boy in front of me was beat and tired. But even so, I never thought I would see him here.
