It's going to be a good day, i could already tell. I'm laying in bed with my beautiful girlfriend, who i love with all of my heart. I looked outside to see the sun is just now coming up. I then looked over at the clock to see that it was 6 in the morning. Caitlin was still asleep which kinda sucks because i want to spend time with her, i quietly slipped out from under her and headed into the bathroom.
I decided to go and make her some breakfast, and run her a bath. I know she is going to wake up soon because Caitlin always wakes up early. I filled up the bathtub and i headed to the kitchen to make her some food. Awhile has passed and as I'm flipping pancakes i feel two arms wrap around my waist
"Why are you up so early?" Caitlin mumbles into the sole of my back
"Well i actually woke up an hour ago, so i decided to make you breakfast"
"You didn't have to do that, and you didn't have to run me a bath either. I would have been fine waking up next to you" She says pulling me away from the stove, so i could face her
"I know but i wanted to do something nice. Now eat your breakfast and then you can go take a bath" I tell her as i set the plates down
After breakfast i see her walk down the hall to the bathroom. While cleaning up breakfast i heard her call my name.
"Cait? Are you okay?" I called from the kitchen
"How about you come join me? There is enough room in here for two"
Without hesitating i walked into the bathroom to see her already in the bathtub.
"Barry come on i thought you would want to sit in here with me" She asks sweetly, how could i say no to her?
I took off my clothes and slipped right behind her. She laid her head against my chest and i wrapped my arms around her.
"I really love you Caitlin. You are perfect in everything you do or say. I hope you know that" I tell her
"I'm not perfect but thank you. I love you too, i love you more than anyone i have ever loved. And i wish that every time i see you i could tell you how i feel"
"Cait i have an idea and just hear me out...how about i take you away this weekend?" I ask her
She turns around with a surprised look, she sits on my lap facing me.
"Barry how can that happen? People will get suspicious if we are both gone and with everything that's going on with Harrison Wells...i mean how can we do it" She says with a sad look on her face
"That why i want to do it. I want to take you away before we have to deal with all of this, it might be our only relaxing time until we figure out a way to stop Wells, and plus we could always use excuses...for example i could say i have a conference and you could say you are visiting an old friend or something" I tell her, i see a smile start to appear
"Fine...but this better work, i still don't want people finding out about us"
"Yes!" I said quickly pulling her in for a kiss
"Barry before we continue what time is it?" Caitlin asks stopping me from going any further
"Almost 8...Oh No are late" I tell her, i can't be late or the Captain will have my job
"Barry come on" Caitlin says pulling me out of the bath
We quickly drained the bath tub and got dressed for work. I rushed Caitlin over to work as quickly as i could. I dropped her off avoiding both Harrison and Cisco, it would look suspicious if we showed up at the same time.
Caitlin's POV
"I was wondering when you were going to show up" Cisco says confused
"Sorry i had to get my car" I lied
They seem to be convinced as i sat down and started working. After about 10 minutes i see Felicity walk in.
"Hey guys so i have been check the police scanners and it seems those little robotic bees have attacked yet another victim"
"Bees?" Dr. Wells asks confused
"While you were at you conference we found out that small robotic bees were attacking people, and that they could possibly lead to a meta" I explained to him
"So i called Barry and they are at the crime scene now investigating. He will bring us an update later" Felicity says taking a seat down next to me
After a while i get a call form Barry.
"Hello"
"Hey we have traced the bees to someone named Brie Larvan, she has been developing them at Mercury labs for awhile, she was fired and started sending them after her co workers. Joe has arrested her" Barry explains
"Great so can we possibly get any of the bees? For studying. Cisco really wants them" I ask of him, he can't say no to me and i kinda want to figure how micro technology works
"Already got some for you"
"Great...so did you tell your boss about the thing this weekend?" I ask discreetly because i know Cisco, Felicity and Dr.Wells are listening
"No not yet but i will. I love you"
I hung up the phone, and I could see they are all looking at me trying to get an update. I explained to them what Barry said over the phone. Cisco was excited since he could do tests on the bees, He and Dr.Wells then went to go set up. It was awkward around him but we are just acting as though nothing is wrong.
"So Caitlin now that i helped you guys out, i should really be getting back to Starling" Felicity explains
"I'm going to miss you" I say giving her a hug
I see her walk out and i can just feel the relief cross over me. I love her and all but now we can start focusing on the matter at hand, we still have to find a way to stop Dr.Wells, wait....i have the perfect idea. If we set up recording devices around the lab, I'm sure we could catch him admitting to it.
I called Barry on his work phone and told him all about my idea and he agrees, now i just have to tell Cisco and we will be all good to go.
"Hey guys i have to go somewhere this weekend, so i won't be here for a few days" I explained to them
"Where are you going?" Cisco asks
"I just have something i need to take care of" I told him not really knowing what to say
"Okay" Wells says
I head back out to the cortex to tell Barry, he is cashing in his vacation days in order to take me away. I'm so glad i can finally catch a break.
"Hey Caitlin, since you and Barry are both gonna be gone. What are we going do about the situation in the other room?" Cisco asks in a whispering tone
I explained to him my idea and agrees to start working on it, i decided to go and visit Barry. I grabbed my stuff and headed on over to the police station. When i got there i went straight up to his lab.
"So this is where you work?" I ask him making him turn around in his chair
"Yep. It's kinda boring but not anymore" He says kissing me on the cheek
"So Cisco is going to start building the recording devices and he is planting them under all of the desks. And if we get a confession out of him we will have enough for an arrest"
"That's great. Oh and i have some bad news....i can't come over tonight, Iris has been bugging me non stop. I haven't stayed there all week, so i promised i would. I hope that's alright?"
"Barry of course it is, they are your family and you can't spend all of your time with me"
"Good. I will text you tonight i promise, I don't have my phone here i probably left it on the counter at home so sorry if i didn't respond to any of your texts" He apologizes
"So do you need a lift home?" He ask walking me out of the lab
"No, i have my car. And is that why you called me from your work phone?" I asked him
"Yeah"
"I will miss you. Now i would kiss you but Joe is standing right behind me, i will call you later" Barry says as i walk into the elevator, he gives me a wink as the doors are shutting
I guess i will be alone tonight. I think it will be good to have some alone time, i will miss Barry even if he is only gone one night. He just makes me so happy.
