I sprinted in the hospital lobby and before I could ask the front desk anything Kian ran up to me.
" Kian where's Jc !?" I asked frantically
" He's in surgery right now"
" Surgery !?" I felt like I was going to have a breakdown, " Kian how bad was the accident !?"
" He-" but before he could give me any details Kian was interrupted by the doctor
" Excuse me, but are you here for Justin Castillo ?" an older man carrying a clipboard asked us
"Yes " Kian and I both answered
" Mr. Castillo suffered a few fractured ribs and some head trauma, but basically a mild concussion"
" When can we see him ?" I asked the doctor quickly
" Well he got out of surgery about half an hour ago and he's going in and out of conciousness, but now I suppose"
" Let's go" Kian said leading me to his room, before I walked into the room I stopped at the doorway. Seeing him laying there really hit me hard because I've never seen him look so vulnerable and innocent, and I couldn't help but feel guilty for some reason. I walked in and sat next to Kian in one of the chairs that was in the room, and I just held Jc's hand trying not to cry.
" What happened ?" I asked Kian calmly
" Violet.. it really doesn't matter"
" Just tell me.. please" I said a little more demanding
" He was stopped at a red light, and the some guy fell asleep at the wheel and rammed right into the front of his car.." he said not making any eye contact with me
" Where was he going ?" I asked him after a minute of comprehending the accident
" To your apartment.."
" What !?" I whispered yelled
" He said he tried to call you" he defended, then it hit me. Maybe if I just called him back or maybe if I just didn't go to Nash's he would be fine.
" Great. My best friend is in the hospital with a brain contusion because I couldn't answer the damn phone !" I said standing up and walking to the other side of the room trying not to burst into tears.
" Violet it is not your fault, and I know you believe that everything happens for a reason" he said calming me down
" You're right, you're right" I said sitting back down and taking his hand in mine again
" I already told Bobby, Harrison, and Corey they should be here soon" he said then a few minutes later he got a text
" Alright they're here I'll go get them" he said walking out, returning soon with only Bobby and Corey
" Hey guys" I said softly getting up to hug them, " Where's Harry ?" I asked them
" He had some car trouble but should be getting here fairly soon" Corey answered me
" So uh what's the damage ?" Bobby asked breaking the awkward silence
" Fractured ribs and concussion" Kian said like it was nothing as I sat back down, after Harrison arrived time started flying by and it when I checked my phone it was five in the morning already and I started nodding off.
" Violet Corey, Bobby and I are gonna head off. We'll be back later, but we're gonna go get some sleep" Harrison told me
" Okay well I'll see y'all then" I said yawning, just leaving Kian and I in the room together
" You should get some sleep too" Kian said to me
" I'm not leaving" I said sternly
" Violet I already talked to the doctor he said it's very unlikely for him to be waking up anytime soon"
" If it were me, he wouldn't leave my side"
" Violet even when he does wake up you think he's gonna want to see you like this, just go home get some rest, come back in a few hours"
" Fine. When I get back you can go home and get some rest" I said standing up, him also standing up in front of me
" Don't worry about me" he said pulling me into a hug and kissing the top of my head
" Call me if anything happens" I said walking out of the room.
- One Car Ride Later -
I trudged into my apartment and hug up my coat and slipped of my shoes.
" Shelby !!" I called out for my corgi, and soon enough I heard her little paws running against the hard wood, " Hey, hey" I said crouching down playing with her then walking to my room her following behind. I just fell on my bed and set an alarm on my phone so I'll wake up on time and can get to the hospital as soon as possible and when I was done with that I was out like a light.
