Mira's POV
During the entire act 1, I have been talking to Uncle Groffsauce about our Step 2
Jonathan : you remember everything I said?
Mira : yes! Just hope this second plan works
Jonathan : darling, if tonight doesn't work don't worry we have plenty of days to escalate the plan
Mira : well let's just hope that tonight will work so that we can proceed to step 3
Jonathan : step 2.5
Mira : right
When it was intermission, i got a chance to look at the audience. When I saw what I was looking for, i was silently hoping our plan will work
During Act 2, I was explaining the plan to Aunt Renee and Jazzy. They we're excited for the plan which made me less nervous.
The show ended and just like every show, the cast will go out after they change to meet those they know who watched the show.
While all that was happening, Uncle Groffsauce gave me a nod and then walked and stood by Dad and friend. Then I walked near Mom's side...
Mira : Hey mother! Oh- who's dad and Uncle Groffsauce talking to? She's really pretty
She looked their way and her eyes
widened.
Pippa : that's our college friend!
Mira : really? Then go say hi!
She hesitated but did do it anyway. Alright Mom, you're move now
Phillipa's POV
Since my daughter pushed me, I'm about to say hi to one of my old friend
Pippa : Vanessa! Great to see you!
Vanessa : Pippa! Wow! So you three are having a reunion through this great musical?
Jonathan : yup! A reunion that happens 8 times a week
Vanessa : you all really did great tonight
Pippa : thank you!
Lin : so Vanessa, how's life been treating you?
Vanessa : Good! I hope it stays that way
Jonathan : did you still pursue law?
Vanessa : yes! I'm now an attorney at law
Okay, now I'm intimidated. She's an attorney while I'm just a past waitress and now actress
Lin : wow, you were always so smart
Vanessa : thank you!
Lin : so with you being all smart, you certainly might have a husband
Vanessa : nope, because of me trying to be smart and all, boys didn't approach me
Lin : what?! But you're so pretty and smart!
With that conversation, Jonathan and I shared a look. We know what's Lin trying to do and I honestly felt sad. Jonathan called my daughter and I knew that was his plan to stop Lin.
Jonathan : Vanessa, I would like you to meet Mira!
Mira : hi! Lovely to meet you!
Vanessa : hi! You look too young to be working, so whose daughter are you?
Pippa : mine!
Vanessa : really? You and Lin got married right after college?
Pippa : uhm- no
Vanessa : oh you broke up before graduation, I remember that
Pippa : yeah uhm-
Vanessa : so who's the father and your husband?
Mira : he's actually-
Lin : Vanessa, how'd you like the show? Are you still very critical when it comes to watching musicals?
Vanessa : very! I might say Miranda, you did a great job with this one!
With Lin dodging the topic of Mira's father and them having their own conversation...
Pippa : we must go, I still need to fix our things backstage
Vanessa : sure! Go ahead! Nice talking to you again and nice meeting your daughter!
When we got to the dressing room, I see Renee and Jazzy smiling at us as if we're about to bring good news.
Jazzy : Sooooo.... wait- Mira why are you crying?
I looked at my daughter and she really was crying. I wiped her tears, hugged her tight and kissed her forehead
Pippa : it has nothing to do with you
Renee : what happened out there?
Jazzy : did the plan work?
Mira answered no and I was intrigued of this 'plan' their talking about
Pippa : what plan?
Jazzy : oh- did I say plan? i meant- uhmm- uhmmm
Pippa : nice try! Spill it!
Mira : we had this mission to continue yours and Dad's lovestory. One of our plan was for you to see that Vanessa again because Uncle Groffsauce said that you were jealous of her back then
Pippa : oh Mira you don't have to do that. Let your parents decide if they want to continue their lovestory. I admit that I may have want it to continue too but seeing as what happened earlier, the process of your mission should wait for a while
Mira said nothing and just hugged me.
Renee : okay, what happened?
Before I could answer Jonathan walked inside the room with his face looking so apologetic
Jonathan : I'm so sorry if it failed!
Mira : no worries
Jonathan : but you're crying-
Jazzy : what happened?!
Jonathan : when we were talking to Vanessa, she asked who Mira's father was. When she was about to answer, Lin interrupted and opened up a new topic
Mira : looks like he wouldn't want her to know I'm his child. Clearly he likes her, I mean, she's pretty! Of course He likes her!
Pippa : ouch
Mira : not like that! You're much prettier than her Mom I swear!
Pippa : you have to say that, I'm your mother
Renee : so, what's your next plan?
They all were silent
Pippa : how about you guys give it a rest first, if Lin won't go in a date with Vanessa then fine, go do everything you want for our relationship and I will willingly participate. But if he does go out with him, we'll carry on like nothing happened
Mira : though it's hard... agreed
Jonathan went out while we were fixing our bags. When we were ready to go out Jonathan barged in with a really disppointed face
Jonathan : I'm sorry. I saw Lin talking to Chris about how he's taking out Vanessa on a date.
Renee : what was Chris' reaction?
Jonathan : his eyes were screaming disappointment but it is his bestfriend so he just supported Lin on everything
Mira's face turned into a frown so I hugged her and whispered "it's alright"
We left the theater making sure that Lin won't see us because I might not contain myself and hit him if he tries to have a conversation with is after what happened
While we were on the train....
Mira : you and me forever right?
Pippa : yes! Promise
