C H A P T E R 1

Our debut stage was phenomenal. The dance moves, the vocals, the rap, everything was perfectly divine and very appealing. The audience reacted well with our performance. Our hits reached a new record, newer than BLACKPINK, which was saying something. My group, DYEMONDS, have prepared long and hard for this moment. We are a four-group girl band. It consists of me, Choi Kirae, the oldest, Libby Anderson, a Korean-born American, Park Jeemun, our leader, and Lee Hyejin, the wonderful maknae, our little ray of sunshine.
These girls and I have only started, but with the direction we are heading in, there is no doubt that we will succeed in the path of life. Our journeys have only just begun. I am very excited to continue this idol path with these girls.
After the stage performance, we went to sit among the group of our senior idol groups, ones who have performed longer than us, those who knew the ropes of being a celebrity. The ups and downs are just down the path. As we sat, we couldn't help but smile at the adrenaline that was still coursing through our bloods. I took out my outdated smartphone and began to go through Twitter, where our performance was being held live for our couple thousands of followers. I smiled. It was a small number compared to other hot-shot celebrities, but to me, those aren't numbers. They're family.
"Kirae-eunni!" One of the members called out to me. I glanced up at who was it that demanded my attention and saw Lee Hyejin, our maknae, looking at me with that adorable smile she had on her face. Her black hair curled at the ends and reached just a bit past her shoulders. "How did you feel about the performance we gave?" I gave her a smile and ruffled her hair.
"I never felt this much energy since the day I decided that I wanted to play sports." My fellow teammates chuckled at my response. Of us four, I was the one that played the most sports. I did basketball, volleyball, swimming, track, and boxing. I always had that energy. Anyway, I turned my attention back onto the MC, who kept talking about other idol groups. I was much too energized to even listen for our group being called out for an encore. I was frozen on my seat until Jeemun took hold of my hand, leading me onto the stage again.
Once we got into formation and decided to perform our debut song with a twist, my eyes landed on a pair of dark eyes. I knew who it was immediately and my head began to feel light. However, we finished our performance with another bang to the crowd. They cheered so much, chanting our names.
We have a small fanbase, GEMS, as I'd like to call them. They found out about us because we were under the same company as our seniors, BTS, and many other groups. Speaking of which, after the show, we retired backstage where all the groups were congratulating each other with their astounding performances. I hope we would be like that one day, where people looked up to us. I smiled at that thought. The four of us were conversing about the stage experience and we were goofing off like usual. Our maknae was making hearts to all of us and gave me a bone-crushing hug. Libby was taking selfies for our Twitter. She was the visual after all. Our leader just watched us goofing about, smiling at how proud she was for hitting head strong in the industries.
What we didn't notice was that a group of guys, 7 members, were approaching us. When they got near, Jeemun got our attentions. We turned to face the daring group, GOT7. We bowed deeply in respect.
"Hello, GOT7-sunbaenims!" We all greeted at the same time, our maknae giggling a little.
"Ah~" A man with those sharp eyes that no one can mistake, Jackson, started, "you girls were wonderful!" I felt myself blush. He just complimented us. I noticed that Bambam was glancing at Jeemun. I couldn't help but smile.
"Thank you, Jackson-oppa!" Hyejin said, jumping up and down lightly on the balls of her feet. Jackson grinned widely and ruffled her hair. The rest of the members complimented us on our debut stage and went off to other members, complimenting them on their own performance as well.
"I still can't believe we have performed on our first stage!" Libby announced, flailing her arms around her. I swear, sometimes she is such a diva, but that's what makes her unique. I couldn't help but agree with her.
"I know. It's like a dream!" I whisper-shout the last sentence. I took Hyejin in my arms and just hugged her. As much as it felt like a dream, I didn't want to wake up. Jeemun was talking with other groups, so I decided to do that as well. I let go of Hyejin and went over to see a man in mint-green hair, short, and just sitting on a chair. I went over to him strolled around the chair to see Min Yoongi, his eyes closed. My eyes widened. I felt nervous so I looked around and I couldn't see any of my other members.
'Shit.' I thought. 'Take the naturally shy person and let her wander off on her own. Heh, and they call me the mother of the group.' I lightly giggled to myself and decided to just sit on a chair across from him. I glanced over at him for a few minutes, taking in his beauty. I smiled to myself. This is a rare opportunity to get to see him sleeping up close. It's quite amazing.
"You know it's rude to stare." I was startled. I stood up quickly and bowed deeply.
"I'm sorry for disturbing you!" My voice wavered and I stuttered slightly. "I didn't mean to wake you from your nap, I was just walking around and saw you so –" I gulped and bit my lip. I stood up straight from the bow and looked at my feet.
I could hear him sigh and get up. He walked over to me and placed his hand on my shoulder. It felt like it was on fire once he placed his hand on there.
"It's fine. I actually thought you were one of my band members." He let go of my shoulder and it suddenly felt cold. I shrugged off that feeling and finally had the guts to look at him in the eyes. He looked tired.
"Still, I shouldn't have bothered you." I had a slight pout. He smirked and shook his head.
"You're fine. Hey, let me help you find the rest of your members." I nodded, not trusting my tongue in this situation. We walked around the big lounge-like room where other idols mingled and looked for my members. I could feel some eyes on me but I tried to ignore them, except the burning sensation on my face didn't help with that.
"Kirae-eunni!" Libby's voice rang through my ears and I turned my head to see her waving her arm obnoxiously trying to get my attention. I tugged on Yoongi's sleeve and I motioned him to Libby. He nodded and followed me there.
"I thought you went back to the dorm without us, I was worried." A pout was evident on her face.
"Sorry, Libby, I was mingling just a bit." I turned to Yoongi. "Yoongi-ssi, this is Libby, she's our vocal and visual." I smiled wide, showing my dimples under my lips. I was so proud of Libby. She smiled and waved at Yoongi before turning to me.
"Eunni, everyone is in the car with the manager. Don't take too long, okay?" She smiled and made her way to the exit of the building. I watched her leave to make sure she was safely out the door. I turned back to Yoongi and bowed slightly.
"Thank you for accompanying me in finding my members. I hope we get to see each other often!" Though we work under the same company, I barely see them. It may be because their schedules are way different than ours. Anyway, he returned the thanks and went off to his own members. I walked out of the building, a happier feeling than ever. I went into the car and was greeted with many questions from the other members.
"Where were you?" Jeemun questions as soon as I got myself comfortable and buckled up.
"She was talking with Yoongi-sunbae!" Libby announced. I shushed her by covering her mouth with my hand.
"I was walking around, trying to familiarize with some people and I may or may not have bumped into Yoongi-sunbae." I let go of Libby's mouth and sat comfortably. Hyejin was fast asleep, her head resting on the window beside her.
"Oh, that's why you took so long getting back here." She winked at me and I covered myself in embarrassment.
"Stop it! Don't let me announce it to the world that you are head over heels for Taehyung!" She shrugged.
"Go ahead. I'm not scared." I groaned. She was like a robot sometimes. No emotions when it comes to daring confessions, at least, that's what I believed.
"So, I'm not an aunt yet?" Libby asked from beside me. She began to laugh. I punched her shoulder and she flinched. "I was just kidding, geez!" I huffed and looked out the window.
As soon as we got to our dorms, we went straight to our beds. I had to carry Hyejin to her room since she was fast asleep and no one wanted to wake her up. She was still too precious, but also getting older. Ah, I mustn't reminisce now. I'm still so young.
I retired to my own bed and looked at the Twitter page all four of us shared. We got a few more hundred followers just from tonight's performance. I smiled and decided to tweet out to our fans.

I hit send. I turned off my phone and drifted off to sleep, the last thing I saw was the face of Yoongi and how soft and gentle he looked. I smiled softly at that image. I rolled over and let the darkness of sleep consume my mind, allowing me to relax.
