Hey guys... so here we are. I'm sorry this took a week to get out without any message it was going to take this long 😖
I needed a well deserved (at least I think so) break.
I've been updating for 4-5ish months straight. Once a week (kinda) with occasionally a 4 day set back, due to school and stressful events.
(If you've been here since the beginning you might remember 5 updates in the course of three weeks)
The thing about jumping back in is that I wrote my entire plan in a matter of hours and wrote the first chapter so quickly that I didn't really process it all. So I took the time to process, and guess what? I scrapped the entire build up... it was bad. But it was good in a way! Because I have a better story! Yay.

"Break it up!" Coran shouted.
Lance's hand relaxed and Keith backed away, dusting himself off.
The spicy boys were still glaring each other but they had their hands off. Allura's eyes were wide and right behind Keith.
"Lance Mcclain right?" Coran asked. "Let's go over some audition things and such."
Lance was still focused on Keith and tripped over his words, "Y-yea Director Coran, that sounds good." He backed up to go with Coran but narrowed his eyes and sneered. "Have fun."
Keith stared at his back and only letting his eyes leave his back when he disappeared behind a door.
"Keith?"
Keith snapped out of his trance and saw Allura looking worriedly at him.
"You'll be able to do this. Ghiro is a fabulous role," Allura said assuringly. Keith nodded. This was a big step in his career. Breaking out of the evil characters for once. This was the main role. It seemed more like something Shiro would do, but Keith wanted to be better than Shiro. Or at least stand at the same level.
It was a lot to live up to.
He breathed in and out feeling the confidence flood into his body.
Allura was right, this role was going to get him to the same level as Shiro. Ever since he was young, it was like a competition to be the best for his adoptive parents. Their attention was hard to get when Shiro was getting bigger in the movie industry. Keith followed in his brother's footsteps, just always not as popular.
Allura snapped her fingers in Keith's face.
"Keith! They just called you up, get moving!"
Keith smiled apologetically and went for the audition.
Lance, on the other side of things, was struggling. Ghiro was a strong big guy and honestly pretty serious. He felt like he'd be more comfortable with a different role.
Keith hadn't helped the situation. It was putting Lance on edge. Keith was quite obviously coming for his role.
Keith was a good actor sure but Lance knew he could do this role if he tried.
Do it for Nyma
I will never lose a role to Keith.
Not again.

The blood drained from Lance's face.
Keith felt his legs go weak.
Two weeks later and what did Keith and Lance get cast in Foltron?
"Are you seriously telling me this is the casting choice."
"No. No. Absolutely not."
Keith and Lance locked eyes in front of Coran. Their bad blood was about to get much worse.
"I was a perfect Ghiro. Why am I some side character? Named Lunce???"
"And me? As Keef? Who even got the Ghiro role?"
Coran chuckled awkwardly, "Boys, don't get your whiffle pickle in a twist. I chose someone fully capable of the role." He scratched his neck and sighed. "Shiro will play the role of Ghiro."
Keith was shocked, to say the least.
"But Shiro didn't audition!"
Coran focused on the old ugly carpet that looked dead from the years of abuse.
"Well.... Yes. You are correct. But I knew the moment I read the script that the role would be perfect for him. Shiro agreed to the choice yesterday."
Keith fumed and Lance's mouth has wide open. Keith's eyebrows crashed down to his eyes, fists clenched.
"I still wanted you talented boys in this show, just as a different role. Adjust boys, or I'll find someone else to replace you. We have many Keef and Lunce backups we can call."
Lance and Keith looked at each other with fire in their eyes and their pride was crushed. Both looked to be big stars with a huge role but instead were now background characters together.
To Keith, taking the job was useless to him.
Small role = Less popularity
Which is why he was here in the first place. To become more popular than Shiro and living up to his (foster) family's name.
To Lance, taking this job seemed like a hit to his pride. The only reason he considered it was because Shiro was his hero. Lance wanted to be just like him when he was younger. Put on the highest pedestal and rewatched the movies. Lance was a huge fan.
The more he thought about it, the more he wanted to take the job to work with Shiro. Nyma wouldn't be happy but he was sure that his career could wait and his dream could come true.
"I'm sorry Coran," Keith began, "I cannot take this part." It was cold of him, he knew that. But a star wouldn't be born from his brothers show. He needed his own.
Keith left Coran and Lance standing there. Coran looked hopefully at Lance, and Lance nodded. He'd do it for his childhood dream.

Keith came out of Coran's office, only to see Shiro and Allura together, talking together.
Keith stopped in his tracks, wondering what to say. How did he even feel?
Betrayal?
Yes.
That was a good way to put it.
Allura must have told Shiro about the part and even though Shiro knew Keith was going for the role, he took it anyway.
His fists clenched and stormed past them. Time slowed as Keith and Shiro made eye contact. Shiro's smile faded away and reached out to Keith. Keith brushed him off and gave him a bone chilling glare that shook Shiro to his core.
When time sped back up Shiro called out to Keith. Keith blocked out his words and focused on getting out of this place.
He got to his car and jammed his keys in with more power than necessary. "Siri find me the nearest McDonald's."
"Ok," her monotone robotic voice rang through the car. "Here's what I found."
1.2 miles away? Perfect.
He drove up to the drive through and skipped reading the menu. He knew what he wanted.
"Hello, sir-"
Keith interrupted, "Can I get a Large McFlurry, a small chocolate milkshake and a small ice cream in a cup?"
"Sorry sir, our ice cream machine is broken, is there anything else we can get you with that chocolate milkshake and mc flurry??"
Keith bashed his head onto the steering wheel
Stupid fucking ice cream machines. Why can't they just fix the bloody thing?? It's always broken.
After another moment or two, he realized that with his head in the steering wheel was causing his car to beep.
He leaned back from the wheel and just sighed.
"A small order of fries."
"Okay, Dokay! Your total is 7.59."
He rolled down his window, moved up and paid for his, "meal." He drove to the other window as they handed him his drinks.
The lady looked over and almost handed him his fries before realizing who he was.
"Keith Kogane?!" She shouted. "I am a big fan of you! Is your brother here too? His performance in-"
"No, he is not here. Can I have my fries?"
The Lady took out her phone and snapped a quick selfie with him. Keith was looking at the fries in her hand and not smiling.
"Here's your fries sir! Have a gre-"
He shut the window before she finished and drove away quickly. He slurped on his milk shake and spooned some mc flurry into his mouth using his fries before getting back on the road.
He sighed.
This sucks.

Also, I'm going to get back into the schedule of a chapter a week...
