Normani's POV
It's been two weeks since Lauren and I talked at the bar, I've seen her a few times since and each time I stopped to talk to her. I learned more about her but basic things and I sorta, maybe, have a teeny little crush on her.
Me: Let's go somewhere, I'm bored
Lil A-Town 💘🌆: I'm with Darold so unless you don't mind him coming, cool
Cho 💜😛: Anywhere with food
Quince 😤💙🍾: That cafe we went to a few weeks ago
Me: Bet, I'm omw
Going over my outfit, I find it good enough and walk out to my car.
When I arrive at the cafe I notice the others aren't here yet so I go look for a table for us. As I'm walking more into the cafe I spot a certain Latina that I'm very attracted to, seated on a stool in front of the window.
I whistle and she turns her attention to me, a small smile on her face.
"I knew it was you" She chuckles
"How?" I ask, confused
"I saw you through the window" She says
I go in for a hug and she puts her hand out.
"Woah woah" She says
"What?" I ask
"Why you assume I give out hugs?" She asks with a raised brow
I suck my teeth and tilt my head.
"Deadass?" I ask
She shrugs and I exaggeratedly sigh
"As many times we've had an encounter I would assume I at least can get a hug from your stubborn ass" I say
"I know I'm stubborn" She smirks
The minute I open my mouth to say something, she gets up and wrap her arms around my torso. My arms go around her neck and my eyes blink rapidly as I try to gather myself. WOW she smells so good and feels so warm.
I feel her physically relax in my arms and raise my brows, she slowly pulls away and rubs the back of her neck.
"See? That wasn't so bad" I say
"Uhh...yea, wasn't that bad" She says
She clears her throat and sits back down.
"Before you ask any questions, I'm not answering any government type shit, no birthdays, no family questions, etcetera" She says
I nod my head and take a seat next to her.
"Am I allowed to ask where you're from?" I ask
"I'm from here, not gonna tell you what part but I'm from here" She says
"You?" She asks
"Here, Morris Park" I reply
Her eyes light up briefly then she slightly shakes it off.
"What?" I ask
"It's nothing" She shrugs
"You can trust me y'know, do I look like the type to put this much effort just to give your personal life away?" I ask
"Who knows" She says
"According to you I'm an airhead, would an airhead be capable to do whatever you think I would do?" I smirk
"That's where I'm from" She says quietly
"What a coincidence! So you do trust me a little?" I ask
She slowly stands and comes closer to me, she lowers to my ear.
"If at any moment I feel you're playing games, I'll make you regret it before you even blink, I mean it" She whispers
I lean back on my elbows and wrap my legs around her waist, pulling her closer. She loses her balance which causes her to come closer to me, she places her hands by my elbows and I smirk.
"Ok Papi" I say
Her eyes go wide and I laugh while unwrapping my legs.
"I'm joking...or am I?" I grin
I place my hand on her stomach and wink, she sits down and shakes her head.
"You can't do that" She groans, rubbing her thighs
I raise my brow and look down...Oh!
"Got a little situation?" I laugh
"Haha! Listen if you have a problem with it you can go" She snaps
"I didn't say anything? Relax, it's not like it's inhuman" I say
I glance out the window and see everybody getting out of Ferg's car.
"Well my friends just got here so I'll see you whenever" I say
"Surprisingly, you weren't annoying today" She says
"Great" I chuckle
She scans over my body slowly then looks directly into my eyes, biting her bottom lip slightly.
"Are you checking me out Lauren?" I smirk
"I never said you weren't attractive Normani" She says
"Is that my nigga LJ?!"
"Ferg!!" She smiles
"What's good?" He asks, pulling her into a hug
"Same ol shit" She laughs
"How's shorty?" He asks
"A fucking trip" She chuckles
"Next week, I'm coming by" He says
"Bet" She nods
"Where's the other two?" I ask Ally
"Outside somewhere, probably avoiding any awkwardness" She shrugs
"Oh yea L, this my girl" He announces
"Nice to meet you" Lauren smiles
"Same to you"
"Normani, you didn't tell me you knew Ferg" Lauren says
"Yup, he got my best friend hooked" I chuckle
"Where's the others?" He asks
"I was supposed to meet my cousin here but who knows where he is" She says
Someone taps on the window, causing us to look over there.
"And there he is, I'll see y'all around" She says
She walks and Ferg follows her, to greet him.
"She seems nice and she's really attractive, I don't get the others' hostile" She says
"Me neither but I'm starting to crush" I sigh
"You're crushing on her?" Quincy asks, walking towards us
"You're digging a deeper hole" Choie says
"Then let me dig the hole, I honestly don't care"
