'Hurry up Brie! We're gonna be late!" Logan, my twin brother, yelling at me from down stairs.
"I'm coming! Calm down!" I yelled back.
It was the first day of school. Summer was officially over. I didn't like going to school. The people at my school are so shallow and rude. I keep quite at school though, no matter how much i wanted to throw a porcupine at someone. My aunt took us in even though she didn't have to, and I'm grateful for that. I don't want to disappoint her. We have been living with her and her son for 4 years now. We moved in when our parents died in a car crash. Most people say "Oh I'm sorry for your loss." when i tell them. The truth is, i wouldn't have noticed they died unless someone told me.
"Lets go Brie! If your not down her in 30 seconds I'm leaving without you!" Logan yelled up to me agian.
"I don't really think you would, but whatever I'm ready. Lets go. Wait, is Andy coming?" I asked as we were walking out to his car. Andy is our cousin. He lives with us too, well because my aunt is his mom, obviously. Andy is more like a brother to me than a cousin, since we live together. He's 17, a year older than me and Logan. We usually drive with him to school.
"Yes i am! Don't leave yet!" Andy called out to us from the kitchen.
We both laughed and rolled our eyes. Andy was always running late in the morning. He is SO not a morning person. He can get so crabby.
"Okay, lets go." he said getting into the car and we drove off.

"Brie!! I missed you!" My best friend squealed pulling me into a hug the second i walked in.
"Hey Em. I missed you to." i laughed hugging her back.
My best friend Emily was always laughing and smiling. Sometimes i wonder how she doesn't just get tired of being happy all the time. Walking into class i saw someone i didn't recognize. He had green eyes and blonde-ish hair.
"Who's that?" Em whispered in my ear at the same time i saw him.
"I dont know." I whispered back.
"Im gonna go ask him." She announced walking across the class room to him. I just followed her not wanting to look stupid standing in the door way alone.
"Hi Im Emily, Whats your name?" She asked him with a smile
"Hi Emily, Im Jake. Who's your friend?" He said returning her smile.
Wait, friend? Me friend? No he wouldnt talk about me would he? Great that means i have to talk to him.
"Oh thats by best friend Brie." Em answered for me.
"Yeah i'm Brie, Nice to meet you. I said quietly.
"Nice to meet you to. He said smiling down at me. He was like 5'9 or something. I feel so short.
We went over and took our seats only to find Jake following us and sitting down. I really didn't mind like i usually would. He was nice and i felt like i could talk to him. That was a new feeling for me. I sneaked a look at him only to see him looking at me kindly. Maybe this whole friend thing wont be so bad.
