Everything Comes Together
I am from romantic books, pens, and paper
An exercaucer, trumpet, and a dresser in the main hallway
From Purple drawigs, rattles, and toy cars
I am from footballs and frisbes
Basketballs and bikes
From a camper and ceramic toilet in the yard
I am from Aldersgate Chrurch down the road
Lake Forest Elementary around the corner
From Canopy Car Wash at the end of the street
I am from Grandma across from Chief
Little Granny out of state
From "Want me to make it feel better?"
I am from half-painted bathrooms
And family and friends
Fromm family trees set in screen
I am from Date Nut Rolls and Brekfast Casserole on Christmas
And strong coffee with lots of creamer
From turkey, sweet potato pie, and Peanut Butter Pie on Thanksgiving
I am from scrapbooks
And pictures on coumputers
From pictures scattered on my desk
I am from everything that comes together
