I couldn't look at him in shock. Why would he do that? And why? 'Wha-what?..' I couldn't believe it. My hands and legs starts to shake. There was a long pause, he stood up and got his materials then he asked Mr. Carlson if he could go to the toilet, I knew there was something wrong. Anthony is acting different now, not weird but something totally different. After 3 minutes he came back.
'It's a long story' he sighs
'I have one and a half hour to listen' I said forcing him to tell me what happened
'Savanna, it's too complicated. I know it's wrong and-' he stops
'And?' I asked again. He looks at me and look back at his work, like he always do.
'Anthony?!' I whispered
'Savanna, I told you it's nothing' he says 'Shouldn't have told you in the first place' he mumbled
'I want to know, how can it be me?' I think I know why, but I'm just asking to make sure
'Savanna, the truth is I-' the door slams open and Toby was with the head teacher, Mrs. Jones, his face was covered in bruises, his short was messed up and he had a handkerchief on his lips that has stains of blood, he was pointing at Anthony.
'Mr. Roberts, I would like to talk to you!' she said in a disappointed and annoyed tone. Anthony took his stuff, stood up and left, I didn't even hear what he said. What was the truth? Anthony, Mrs. Jones and Toby left, at this point I realise that Toby is involved, or maybe more but I have to investigate further but now I have exactly 1 hour and 17 minutes to finish my work.
I just left arts and now I'm heading to registration, Anthony never came back but hopefully I would bump into him. Today is my favourite day because it's Friday and that means that I have no school tomorrow, I'm looking forward to the weekend because I know there will be no drama's, no bullying, no forcing people to others, no more fights and lastly no more cheesy-weird romance. On the way to registration I bump into Grace.
'Feeling any better?' I asked, Grace held my arm and smiled at me
'Yes, thank you' She said, still with a smile on her face. Grace's face lights up whenever she smiles. Boy is she pretty, she's by far the most sweetest girl I've ever met, I just miss the real Grace, the crazy and annoying and funny Grace. 'Have you heard what happened to Anthony and Toby?'
I looked at Grace, 'you know about that?' I asked, she looks at me and nods 'Tell me what happened, I was with Anthony earlier and he told me I was the cause' Grace looked at me and she was staring at me
'So, you're the girl they were fighting about?!' She looked surprised
'What? I can't be the reason that they fought' I chuckled
'No! Oh my gosh!!!! It is you, the puzzle fits! Toby was describing a girl to Anthony, Toby calls her 'The girl with the greatest body ever' funny, I know. Okay so, he describes her as a girl with big bosoms-' she explains
'WHAT?!' I cut her off out of surprise
'I know, wait let me finish, she also has a fit body quite fat but more to "grab on" and also someone with a perfect bum, also her lips are always pink and he lives it when she licks her lips wet' she finishes
'Pervert!' I said, I've never been furious, ever in my life. How on Earth can a man be so perverted but, I still don't get how they got into a fight 'So why was there a fight?'
'Before Toby even finished, Anthony punched him in the nose and beat him up, I guess he just won't allow other people to define you like that.' she explained. I've never felt more flattered, why is my heart beating so fast 'here's my stop, bye Savanna!'. I smiled and waved good bye at her and before I left she gave me a hug 'Thank you for everything, Savanna. I don't know how I can live without you' I hug her tighter
'That's what bestfriends are for, I'll always be here' she hugs me tighter then goes into her room
I went into registration and got out of class, I was so looking forward to see Carly and mom and dad, I'm bored and sick of school. On my way out as I was rushing up to go down the stairs I almost slipped and luckily Ryan was there to catch me
'Woah, better watch your step' he said
'Oops! Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry' I said, standing up. I can't believe it, this will get Vanessa furious, I'm going to be toast!
'It's all right Savanna. You didn't mean to slip, or did you?' he said kiddingly
'You're smiling now!' I said, changing the subject
'Uhm, yes. Well, I guess I am' he said
I try to end our conversation because Vanessa might see us talking, plus, I really want to get home 'I guess so too, this was fun, so I'll see you on Monday?'
'Can I at least walk you out?' he asked politely
'What?!' I said inside my head 'Are you sure?' I asked him
'Yeah. Why not?' he replied
I am so not going to play with fire here, Vanessa is going to kill me. 'What harm can it do?' I answered 'Shoot! Savanna, what's the matter with you, you're going to be dead! Find a loop hole and hurry' I said inside my head
'Come' he said pulling my arm down the stairs
'Alright' I answered, I pulled my arm back pretending to pull my back pack up.
'So, Savanna. What do you think of the school?' he asked
'Pretty awesome' I answered smiling
'The students?' He asked again
'They're cool' I answered again
'What?' he said starting to laugh out loud 'You can tell me the truth, I don't believe you myself'
I look at him and I start to laugh 'Okay, some are pretty weird, some are perfect, some are scary, some are mean, some are drama-queens or kings and some are awesome'
'Were am I then?' he asked looking at me seriously
'You're at the perfect and awesome people' I answered smiling
He looks at me seriously then I look away, I just snapped back to myself 'Why the hell are you with him? What if Vanessa sees you or worse what if other students see you?' I start to scold myself inside my head
'Whats up?' I asked
'The ceiling' he said started to laugh again, I didn't realise that he was really nice and funny. I just hope people can show everyone what they really are.
'Ha-ha-ha' I laughed sarcastically 'Very funny'
We walked down to the ground floor and it was time for us to depart.
'Bye Ryan!' I said waving goodbye
'Bye Savanna!' he answered back giving me a smile before I even turn around he held my hand and pulled me to the side 'Savanna, I have to tell you something'. I looked at him, I pull my hand away and look around if Vanessa or any of the members of the 'Circle of Vanessa' was there, luckily none
'What do you want to tell me?' I asked
'Savanna, I just-' he was going to say something but someone called out his name, the voice seemed familiar, it was an irritating, squeaky and fake voice, I knew it, it was Vanessa
'Hello baby!' she said giving Ryan a peck on the cheek
'Hello Saphire, what's up?' She said while she wraps her arms around Ryan.
'It's actually Savanna' I corrected her
'Oh, sorry my bad' she said
'I guess I'll see you later. Bye Ryan, bye Vanessa, bye guys' I said while I get my phone out to listen to music
I walked away, Ryan didn't tell me what he wanted to tell me, well I'll figure that out in Monday, now that I'm alone I can just listen to music and go to my own world. I look back and see Ryan waving good bye at me so I do the same. I wish I bumped into Anthony, I want to ask him a series of questions like 'Why did you hit him?' and 'What did you want to say before Mrs. Jones pull you out of class?' and 'Why do you care about me so much?'. I know my questions have to wait and I'm cool with that, I met my mom and Carly in a shopping centre, we had get some food for dinner.
'So how was school?' Mom asked
'It was alright, Mom' I answered
'Mom, I got an A on my test today' Carly boasts
'Well done sweetie! I think you deserve a cupcake, choose anything that you like' my mom spoils Carly, that's why she's such a brat. While dad spoils me, that's why I can be a brat sometimes too.
'I read a book, will that earn me a cupcake?' I asked
'Aww, Savanna. You should get A's in your test too to get a cupcake' Mom answered
'Just trying my luck' I said
'Don't worry Savs, you can have the part I don't like' Carly whispers
'Savanna, you can get a cupcake too don't worry' Dad whispers
I went to get a cupcake with Carly when I bump into Anthony
'Anthony' I said
'Savanna?!' he said surprised
'Anthony. Are you okay?' I asked, Carly squeezed my hand I think she got scared because Anthong has bruises in his face plus, his lip is cracked.
'I am, thank you' he took a cupcake and he was going to leave
'Wait...' I said, Anthony turned around and looked at me
'You know I don't like that cupcake because it had strawberries and I hate strawberries' Carly interrupts
'Carly' I shushed her, Anthony knelt down in front of her and smiled
'Oh well then, would you help me choose a cupcake for my little sister?' he asked Carly
Carly's face lightened up and she ran to the cupcake stall
'Well isn't she a cutie' Anthony smiled, at this point I still wasn't happy 'bout what he did so I wasn't smiling at all
'Why did you do that?' I asked
'Do what? Oh, I told your sister to do something, I'm sorry. I could've done that myself' he said disappointed
'No, I wasn't talking about Carly. She enjoys that. I meant, why did you beat Toby up for being a pervert' I was trying to pretend that I wasn't the girl that Toby was referring to
'Because....' he said
'What?' I asked getting a bit annoyed
'The girl he was perverting on was the girl that I love' he said looking down
I didn't know what to say, my mouth was wide open and I was shocked. 'Oh, I'm sorry about that'
'Okay, do you like chocolate? Because this is my favourite cupcake, it's called "Chocolate fountain" I don't know why they called it that but I think because if you bite into it the inside is so chocolaty and the chocolate finds its way out of the middle so it's really rich of chocolate, I got you a pink one, Sav, it's cherry and I got myself a vanilla one' Carly explains
'Thank you, Carly. Carly right?' Anthony asks
'Yes! It's Carly, you?' Carly asks
'My name is Anthony' he smiled
'Nice to meet you, Anthony. You seem familiar...' she investigates his face and she finally figures it out
'You're the guy from the restaurant, you're Sav's friend' she says, Anthony and I smiled at her.
'Savanna, Carly, it's time to pay!' my mom calls
'Where are those two pumpkins?' My dad asks my mom
'Over here!' Carly calls out, they finally find us and they saw Anthony
'Aren't you the-' my dad asks but she get cuts off by Carly
'Dad! He was the guy that we met at the restaurant about a month ago, Sav's classmate, I helped him pick a cupcake' Carly explained
My mom's eyes widened 'Aren't you the son of Cynthia and Jason Roberts?'
'Why yes I am' He answered
Great, now my mom knows him personally. Isn't this a bit weird.
'You've grown into a handsome young man!' she said staring at him 'but what happened to you?!'
'I just accidentally got hit by a door when I was distracted, it hit my cheek and my lip'
'Oh! You've got to be careful next time!' my mom said, Anyhony looked at her and gave her a massive smile
'Well son are you getting the bus?' my dad asks
'Yes Mr. Nicholas. I was just getting cupcakes for my little sister' he answered
'Aww, little Ruby! How is she? No, actually rather than asking you loads of questions why won't we just drive you to your house so I can talk to your parents. It's been a long time you know' My mom suggest
'What a wonderful idea, just pop that in here and we'll pay for that' My dad offered
'Thats really nice, but I'll just pay for it myself' He said
'Oh no no no no. Come on, we insist' my dad said
After a couple of rounds my parents finally convinced Anthiny into paying for his little sisters cupcake, we drive Anthony to his home and he invites us inside, mom and dad head straight to his parents and Carly played with Anthony's 9 year old sister, Ruby. Anthony for some plasters to cover up his bruises and took me to their garden. We sat down and talked a bit.
'Savanna' he said
'Yes?' I answered
'Do you know who's the girl that I was talking about?' he asked
'What girl?' I asked, pretending to not know what he's talking about
'The girl that I fought for, the reason why I got beaten up' he answered
'Yes, what about her?' I answered
'She's you Savanna' He said
I looked at him but not in shock because I knew it in the first place because he told me earlier. He looked back at me and smiled
'Why are you looking at me like that?' he asked
'Are you for real?' I asked
There was a long pause and he was just staring at me, after that he came near to me then he gave me a kiss. I've never been kissed by a guy before, well this is new. Wait no! Savanna! What the hell, pull back. I tried to push him with my hand but he just held it and he finally pulled back
'I am for real' he said looking into my eyes 'I love you, Savanna'
