like it was revived to life again
when she smiled at me.
flashing her teeth
stained with blood.
corners of her lips?
still stained with blood.
she killed one again.
can't be sure either if it was just one.

her tone attempted
to beam at me.
but all it did was send
goosebumps on my skin.
"why aren't you sleeping yet?"
