4 years later....
The crowd was going wild as they cheered and applauded Johnny Depp as he walked onto the set of the Jimmy Kimmel show. He had been staying at his house in America for a month or two now as he had his premier for 'From Hell' on LA's finest red carpets about a week ago now. He had been suck here doing many TV show interview like this one now and many press photo's for the upcoming film. Johnny had been a busy man and yet that wouldn't show considering just how well he still looked. His hair was a shorter cut and his facial hair was trimmed down to just a little on either side of his cheeks still leaving his handsome moustache. He wore smart dark denim jeans and a black shirt rolled up to the elbows with his signature waistcoat around his middle, accessorising with his many necklaces and bracelets.
The crowd were going crazy seeing the famous film star waving at the audience before making his way over to Jimmy Kimmel himself who was happy to greet him with a strong man hug. The band playing slowly quietened down as the two men took their seats and Johnny could only laugh as the crowd continued to scream and cheer for him.
"What an entrance" Jimmy commented over the screeching of overexcited women before finally they all began to quieten down. "We love you Johnny!" one lady yelled.
"I love you too" he said back shaking his head and shifting himself on the seat opposite Jimmy's desk.
"Well Johnny how have you been man it's been at least 6 years since I last had you on my show, what you been up too?" Jimmy asked leaning on his desk as Johnny chuckled and shrugged his shoulders.
"has it really been 6 years?"
"Yeah can you believe it! so what have you been up to in all that time?"
Pouting slightly as he thought Johnny pulled his right leg up to sit on his left knee before shrugging again. "Well I've been busy making two movies, one of which being dark shadows...." he paused as soon as someone whistled in the audience making him smile at his ever excited fans "And of course this movie From Hell"
"Which had been said to be playing in all cinemas on the 8th of January....so in a months time" Jimmy added to which Johnny gave a small nod before also adding "The film didn't seem fit for Christmas considering the story line" he laughed.
"Well Johnny we have a clip of 'From Hell' would you ALL like a sneak peek?" Jimmy cheered to the excitable audience before every one turned their heads to the small studio screen to watch Johnny in action.
As soon as the clip was over The audience clapped and whistled making Johnny bow his head with a shy smile as if he had just performed for them or something. "Johnny Depp ladies and Gentleman" Jimmy clapped along smiling brightly at his friend across his table.
Smiling back at Jimmy Johnny shook his head and laughed. "Thank you"
"Now Johnny we gotta talk about these new tattoos..." Jimmy said pointing to his exposed arm that had a few tattoos. "But these are all old Jimmy..." he replied lifting his arm to look at the ink.
"Are you serious! you really have been away too long mate" Jimmy said shocked raising both eyebrows in astonishment.
"Well I got this one just here about 5 days ago..." Johnny began to roll his sleeve a little to show a small rose tattooed to his inner upper arm. "It's a Rose to show my daughter as I wanted to get one for her" the audience swooned at this sweet gesture and Jimmy also couldn't help but curl up his lip at the actors sweetness to his baby girl. "She's the cutest little toddler Jimmy she's 4 now, even made me this bracelet from her nursery school" He added showing off the dried up paster bracelet Rose had made for her daddy on fathers day.
Smiling at this Jimmy looked at the bracelet seeing how little Rose had obviously painted the paster with different mixes of paint. "Now Johnny I know you don't like talking about your personal life but can I just ask about your daughter and her condition?" Jimmy knew Johnny well and for that he was sure he would be able to get his mate to open up about Rose's health.
Nodding slowly at this he sighed "Rose was born very early due to my wife collapsing, she was rushed to Hospital and it really became a matter of life and death for both of them...Rose was born healthy but her lungs hadn't fully developed leaving her breathing pattern a little hard. She has to wear one of those...urm... nasal canular things around her nose to help her breathing you see" Johnny explained and had the whole room listening carefully.
"I see and does that mean she has to wear it for the rest of her life?" Jimmy asked.
"Well Helena and I are both hoping that her lungs will begin to catch up with the rest of her growing body but as for now it seems likely she will" the audience seemed very quiet and Johnny as aware that this had made the room slightly awkward.
"But that doesn't stop her, she a bright and happy child.....very much her daddy's girl and loves her brother and sister to death...Rose is the sweetest and kindest girl in the world....I honestly don't know another kid with a heart as big as hers" he finished again making the audience swoon with his fatherly love and adorable words.
"Well she seems very cute, and Helena I hear she's filming for Les Mis in London" Jimmy continued cleverly switching to his wife now which Johnny was quick to notice. "Yes she's playing Madame Thénardier I believe she said" Johnny smiled thinking about how excited she was on the phone to tell him she would be playing that particular part.
"Yes and we have a picture here of Helena as Madame Thénardier" Jimmy said to which a photo of her appeared in the Les mis costume looking very wild with her matted blonde wig and extravagant costume. The audience whistled again at this and Johnny could only smile at his wife's picture on the screen behind them. He hadn't seen this picture of her, in fact he hadn't seen any picture of her like this for her new movie. They had been apart for a month and a half now and to be honest Johnny had to admit he was really starting to feel homesick.
"She looks as if she's been dragged out from Sweeney Todd and had her mrs Lovett wig sprayed blonde" the audience was in hysterics at Johnny's witty comment and it looked so true and even Jimmy couldn't help but laugh at his remark. "So is that a wig or her real hair?" Jimmy laughed to which Johnny smirked and shrugged his shoulders "To be honest Jimmy she changes the look of her hair for so many movies I wouldn't be surprised if she dyed it blonde" Johnny chuckled continuing to make the audience also laugh.
"How is she now anyway? couple of years back it looked as if she was close to losing her life" Jimmy cut in seriously wanting to dig up the answers to questions every reposter has been dying to hear not only that but all the fans also. "She had something wrong with her heart right?"
Rubbing his hand down his mouth awkwardly now Johnny cleared his throat. At home they never really discussed it as it seemed to painful a memory and they were worried that it may upset the kids again if they were to bring it up. The truth was Helena was more then just better, her heart was pumping correctly again and her blood flow was now strong. The years that had pasted since her operation had been good and healthy ones. She was stronger again now and hadn't felt that kind of sickness in ages.
"You're right we did have a scare back in 2008 but she's so much better now and is just enjoying life again with the children and of course work, we're all very fortunate" he smiled politely even though this subject was extremely personal to them all even though it had been 4 years since her nearly losing her life.
"That great, I'm really happy and you make a very handsome couple I must say" again another imaged appeared behind them on the screen of the pair of them at the Sweeney Todd premier when they weren't even an official couple. Yet the very image warmed his heart just seeing the love in her eyes and how she looked at him, he couldn't help but let his mind drift off to those exciting years when they were spontaneous and free.......
"thank you for being here" she said softly meaning it completely as she embraced him sweetly and hugged her arms around his waist. "You're my best friend Johnny, you really are" she smiled hugging him tighter to her. He could only chuckle at this. God she was drunk, she was so loopy and slurred that all it made him do was laugh adorably at her.
"get some sleep" he said softly pulling her from him and settling her down onto the bed only to have her push herself back up so she was standing in front on him and giggling mischievously. "You should be celebrating, it's your night to night" she continued placing her hands on his chest and smiling kindly at him. "It was both our night not just mine, but I wont be missed, I told them I had to leave for an emergency" explaining this to her only seemed to make her frown at him. "I was your emergency?" she whispered in disbelief that he would leave just for her, looking into his warm brown eyes as he nodded Helena felt her heart skip a beat.
"I had to check on y....." Johnny couldn't help his eyes widen as he was cut of suddenly with Helena's lips crashing against his own. She had melted at his words and before long she found herself cupping his face and kissing him lovingly. He had left the party to see if she was alright. Johnny had wanted to be with her in this hard time and not out partying with his friends.
Knowing he should break this kiss Johnny couldn't help but enjoy the way her lips moved in motion with his as he felt himself kiss her back. It was wrong, she was his best friends wife, Helena was a married woman, but then it felt so right too. He had never kissed her before, only a quick peck on the lips in the films they had done but never as passionate as this. With the majority of films he had done with her, he couldn't help but be attracted to every character she had played. She was beautiful, sexy and so alluring to him that he couldn't find it in his heart to pull back from her now.
It was only when he felt her begin to unbutton his shirt that he gently broke their kiss and slowly removed her hands from his shirt. As much as he wanted to he knew it was wrong. She was married, married to his best friend and not only that she was drunk, so drunk that she probably wouldn't remember any of this in the morning. He wouldn't dream of taking advantage of any woman in this state of mind. She was upset and hurt. And he knew she was just relapsing now on the pain.
"Johnny" she whispered in a hoarse voice, before kissing him again even as his hands cupped both of hers from trying to undress him. Breaking the kiss yet again Johnny looked into her fiery eyes so filled with passion and desire. Never had he seen those eyes stare at him before and for that he could feel himself gulp nervously at her. "You need to rest that head of yours" he explained pulling the duvet across the bed and sitting her down before she reluctantly lifted her legs under the covers he was holding up.
"Please don't go" she whispered reaching for his arm and pulling him towards her as she sat herself up in the king size bed. Smiling sweetly at her he kissed her cheek and pushed her back down to her pillow. "I'll be right here" he smiled this time walking away to grab a large comfy chair before placing it down near her and sitting in it. "Now go to sleep" he said resting his own head against the chair and shutting his eyes.
"Johnny?" Jimmy's voice cut through his memories making him present again in the room with the audience wondering just what had been going on in that head of his.
"How long was I out?" he joked making the audience laugh and Jimmy as well before they continued with the show. "So when are you retuning home to London?"
For a moment that made him smile. "In a weeks time" his answer had him smiling brightly and it was clear to everyone just how much he was looking forward to going back to London. Back to his family who were also missing him terribly.....
