"Blow the candles out sweetie", Mira Bridger said to her son.
"Wish ya something, Ezzy", Ephraim said while smiling.
The seven year old boy closed his eyes and blew the candles out.
"What did you wish", Mira asked.
"Won't tell", Ezra giggled.
All of sudden the door blasted open revealing an imperial officer and at least a dozen stormtroopers.
"Stop!", officer Tryan yelled, "Mira and Ephraim Bridger, you are arrested for treason to the great empire. Surrender, NOW!"
"Never!", Ephraim yelled pulling out a blaster.
"Ezra! Run!", Mira shouted also starting to shoot at the troopers.
"No! I don't wanna leave you!", Ezra sobbed.
The little boy started to cry.
"Ezra, if you love us then please run! Now!", Mira said while shooting,
"Remember. We will always love you."
"I love you, too", Ezra said tears streaming down his face.
He started to run to the backdoor.
"Not so fast!",Officer Tryan yelled, aiming at the boy.
He pulled the trigger and hit the kid directly into the back.
"NO!", Mira screamed trying to get to her injured child when she felt a sharp pain in her right arm.
She fell to the floor unconscious.
"EZRA! MIRA!", Ephraim yelled.
Soon, he got shot, too.
The pain in his shoulder was the only thing he felt before he blacked out.
Ezra's POV
"Mommy, daddy!"
Are they dead?
No! They can't be. I don't want to be alone.
The bucketheads dragged them out.
"NOOO! PLEASE DON'T TAKE MY MOMMY AND DADDY AWAY!" I screamed crying but they don't hear me.
I turned around not wanting to see this as I saw a boy lying facedown on the floor.
"Hello", I sobbed, "Are you awake?"
Nothing.
As I tried to shake him my hand gone through him.
That's when I realized that...
I'm this boy...
I am dead.
"NO! I CAN'T BE DEAD!", I screamed.
I will never be able to hug mommy and daddy anymore.
I will never be able to talk to them anymore.
I will never meet this crew I always saw in my dreams.
Again I started to cry.
"Why? Why me?"
Someone's POV
I walked down the streets of Lothal when I felt immense pain through the force.
I started running down the sidewalks until I reached a small house.
It looks like it was left.
So it is I thought as I saw the imperial warning signal that tells not to go in there.
I opened the door with the force and slowly entered the house.
The scene looked like there was a fight.
Everywhere blaster shot marks and broken things.
Why did the force send me here
I asked myself
I stopped as I saw a little figure lying on the floor.
Soon I realized that it was a child.
I came closer to see if he is okay.
But I saw something I'll probably never forget.
A shot wound. In the middle of his back.
I kneeled to the side of the little boy to check his pulse...
Nothing... No pulse... He is dead...
No child deserves this fate...
But I knew death is just a phase before becoming one with the force.
I tried to sense him through the force.
And I felt him.
There is still life in him.
I can safe him.
Ezra's POV
I Just sat down close to my body hugging my knees and hope that this was just a dream as I saw someone coming into our house.
I stayed silent knowing that they won't see me anyway.
But who came in wasn't from the empire.
It was a... torguta woman?
She came up to dead Ezra and checked if I'm still alive.
Who is she?
She closed her eyes doing nothing.
Suddenly she opened them looking directly at me.
Does she see me?
The woman smiled sadly, put her hands at dead Ezra and closed her eyes again.
What is she doing?
I frightened as I saw her hands starting to glow in a white light.
I started to feel dizzy till I just saw black.
Ahsoka's POV
After I finished healing him I checked his pulse.
Weak, but there was one
Should I take him with me?
No, he will only get more hurt by
the empire if he becomes a rebel.
But I can't leave him.
I have to... It's safer on the streets
as in an almost hopeless war.
My inner argument was interrupted by the boy who was slowly waking up.
I started to panic.
And I did the same thing I've always done.
I ran...
I don't know if I can ever forgive myself for that.
I ran...
I ran away from the Jedi order.
I ran away from my problems.
I ran away from Anakin...
And now I am running away from this poor child hoping that one day it would turn out to be a good decision.
Ezra's POV
Where am I?
I opened my eyes and looked around.
I'm in my house.
"Mommy...? Daddy...?"
Nothing.
"Mommy..."
I stand up.
"Daddy..."
Silence.
What happened? Why can't I remember?
"Where are you?"
I stopped as i saw the mess.
There was a fight.
On the floor there was something...
A pool of red color, I think
I reached out to check it.
As I touched it I saw someone... My dad. He's laying on the floor loosing this...
...Blood!
No. Nonono. This can't be his blood.
He can't be dead.
I started to cry.
The empire took them away.
They are gone.
I'm alone...
