"are you almost done?" namjoon called from outside the stall.
we were out shopping, looking for new outfits, by request of namjoon's mother, who had complained that her son had no nice clothes to wear for christmas dinner. i'd agreed to come along and somehow my best friend had persuaded me to try on a few things myself, although i was sure i couldn't afford anything in this swanky store. even the dressing room was large and posh, the walls a deep mahogany wood and the floor a plush carpet. there was even a huge white leather chair sitting in the corner. i felt out of place with my messy hair sticking out from underneath my snapback, ripped black skinny jeans, and scuffed sneakers.
looking at myself in the floor length mirror, i frowned. "i don't know, joon, i don't think–" i said, tugging at the shirt.
he sighed loudly. "hyung, shut up. you probably look fine as hell and you're gonna march out here right now and show it to me."
i groaned dramatically, stalking out of the dressing and coming to a stop in front of namjoon. there were several shopping bags sitting at his feet, containing various items from different stores we'd already visited.
i actually did like the shirt, not that i would tell him. it was incredibly soft and comfortable. it was just a plain tee with a pocket, in a soft pastel blue colour.
"happy?"
"yoongi hyung, that looks so good on you. i knew it would suit you," namjoon said, standing up and feeling the soft fabric.
"i don't know, how much is it?" i murmured.
namjoon took the tag in his fingers, then coughed. "ah, just a low price of 60, 000 won, mr. min." he joked, stepping away. i balked at the high price for just a tee shirt. "come on, let's just go look around for some clearance shit."

later that night, namjoon and i were in my basement, laying on top of multiple blankets and pillows, with a movie playing in the background.
suddenly i felt my phone vibrate in my pocket, and took it out. my screen was lit up with a text from hoseok.
hobi💕: hey:) you free tomorrow night?
i smiled to myself, fingers rushing to type out a reply.
me: tomorrow night? i'm free as the united states.
hobi💕: ㅋㅋㅋ. i'll pick you up at 7?
me: sounds good. can't wait! x
"ooh, yoongi's texting his boyyy-friend!" namjoon tossed a pillow at me, knocking my phone to the floor.
"sh-shut up!" i stammered as my best friend flopped down on top of me, laughing as he tickled my sides mercilessly.
"joon, joon, please! i can't breathe!" i pleaded, trying to shove him off me with little success.
"i don't know, hyung, i'm pretty comfy. in fact, i could probably sleep here. would you pass me my pillow?"
after i had managed to finally push namjoon off, and we'd settled down, i laid my head down on his shoulder. "you know, i'm really glad you're my best friend. i don't know what i would have done if i hadn't met you." i admitted quietly.
namjoon smiled, pulling me against him so that we were basically cuddling. my back was pressed against his chest, and his chin rested on top of my hair. "me neither, hyung. me neither."
