Throughout all of time, there has been an unseen battle raging between the Light and the Dark. And though we do not witness it with our eyes, we feel it affecting us everyday; each side trying to convince us to join them.
The Light is gentle and patient and warm, yet it reveals our darkest secrets, the things we wish would remain hidden for the rest of Time. The Dark will push and pull and pressure you, finding every conceivable way to try to force you to join its side; it will give you a false sense of security, it will lie and manipulate you to make you believe that it is the safest and most fun side of this war.
Most do not realize this battle is raging, or they refuse to believe it. But there will come a time in the very near future where each of us will have to make the choice: Dark or Light. And contrary to what you may believe, many will choose the Dark instead of the Light; this world over the next.
I am writing my story to help open your hearts and your minds, because very soon many will tell you Lies and try to tell you that the Light is what is wrong with this world, that we would be much better off without it. They will tell you to turn on your fellow human beings, those who although are very different than you, are still just humans and deserve the same rights as you. [What I am saying to you now, will make much more sense as my story goes on.] I wish to tell you the Truth, so that when the time comes, you may be able to judge for yourself what is right and true.
Wow, I sound like an infomercial for the Star Wars Universe: "Remember young padawans, the Light side of the Force will never miss guide you." "Come to the Dark Side; we have cookies!" Sigh. That about sums up my life: Health and Happiness, or Death and Cookies. Wow, that's sad. Oh, well. I hope you enjoy this fun and happy tale; I promise it isn't nearly as dark or serious as this Prologue. Just keep in mind that fiction and reality often have a lot more in common then you might think.
