From 4.07 "High Water and a Devil's Daughter", in the alley, The Hollow reached out to grab Caitlin by the head, slowly entering her body to possess her, but not before a birthmark like Mikayla, Hayley and Hope's was seen on her shoulder through the black smoke and blue light. Caitlin slumped forward when the Hollow took possession of her. She looked around curiously, tilting her head. She let her eyes glow blue, smirking slightly, letting the blue glow fade from her eyes.

Kaylin: (voice over) "Previously on Worlds Colliding (The Originals)"

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the living room of Noah/Caitlin's apartment, Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria were meeting with Tory, Luke, Kacie, Eliza, Lindsey and Ryan about finding a cure for Caitlin and handing the thorn stake off to the Mikaelsons and Salvatores.

Caitlin looked at them weakly, swallowing. "We're not getting any closer to a cure, are we?"

"Yes, we are," Marcel answered. "We just need more power."

"What kind of power?" Noah asked.

"The kind of power we can only get from the Ancestors," Auria answered.

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the living room of Noah/Caitlin's apartment, Caitlin was nearly unconscious, barely awake enough to register that Noah and Marcel were sitting at her side, watching Auria while she concocted a cure, while channeling Davina's power to do so.

Lindsey: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "So, Auria's going to summon Davina and channel her to cure you."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in Riley's bedroom, Hayley and Riley were together at the end of the previous chapter.

Hayley: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "As for the Mikaelsons, I know what they are. The truth is, I'm a monster, too."

Riley: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "We all are. We've all done terrible things, Hayley."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in Hope's room, Hope was laying in bed, sleeping restlessly, tossing and turning slightly.

Hayley: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "Except for Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny. They're innocent, pure. And I want to make sure Hope stays that way."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in Riley's bedroom, Hayley and Riley were still in bed, holding onto each other underneath the sheets.

Hayley gazed off. "I know what I have to do. I just have to be brave enough to do it."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the isolated room, the Hollow was using a vision of Mikayla to taunt Kacie. "So would you rather see my face?" Kacie glared, overwhelmed with anger. "I mean, what's wrong with liking Mikayla? I like you, too, you know. But, like you, I fight what I feel."

From 4.10 "Phantomesque", in Lucien's Penthouse, Lucien was inside a circle of salt, trapped there, shirtless, in jeans.

Inadu: (voice over from 4.10 Phantomesque) "What if I told you that I already brought Lucien back to life and mended his mind?"

Kassandra rushed inside, shocked to see him. "Lucien."

Kassandra tried to walk into the salt circle, but couldn't pass the barrier.

Lucien was just as affected to see her as she was to see him, but he was no longer twisted from mind compulsion, control, or a hex. He was himself. "Kassandra."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the courtyard, Lucien was standing in front of Hope, Rae, Emma, Danny, Tory and Lindsey.

"And I am sorry for everything," Lucien told them.

"I know," Rae told him.

"And how do you know?" Lucien asked.

"Because I can read your mind, and I can see that you never wanted to hurt anyone that you did, and you want to make up for it," Rae answered.

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in Kassandra's room, Kassandra looked at Lucien for a moment, placing a hand on his cheek, smiling, kissing him deeply, sweetly and passionately for a long moment. Lucien wrapped his arms around Kassandra to pull her closer to deepen the kiss.

Lucien: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "I will spend the rest of my life trying to make up for what happened. I will find a way to make this right."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the coffin room, Nicola turned to look at Elijah in his coffin.

Kaylin smiled a small, understanding smile, rubbing Nicola's shoulder. "You want to be here for when he wakes."

Freya was still doing the spell to bring Elijah back by channeling Klaus and Kassandra's power and the power of the Hollow's sacrifice, while Mikayla, Rebekah and Nicola watched. Elijah's skin started to return to color as he came back. He opened his eyes, taking a deep breath.

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the LaForge House, Ryan was suddenly magically thrown across the room, falling to the floor, hitting his head, unconscious. Luke, Mikayla, Kacie and Kaylin's necks were magically snapped, leaving them to fall, only Hayley and Nicola standing.

Ryan started to sit up, having a gash on his head that was bleeding profusely all down his face, but he was healing quickly.

In their respective locked rooms, Mikayla and Kaylin were chained to chairs, unconscious, where men were injecting Mikayla with wolfsbane, and injecting Kaylin with vervain, while taking blood from both of them.

In the hallway, blood dripping from Ryan's head seemed to be trailing in the direction of the Hollow, levitating off of the floor.

Inadu: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "I want them alive. They still have a part to play."

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in the upstairs room of the LaForge House, Inadu was stirring a knife in a spell mixture from a bowl. The blood in the mixture started to boil. Inadu put the knife down, drinking the concoction.

Nicola stabbed Inadu in the stomach with her sword that was laced with her blood, spinning to kick her legs out from under her, making her fall to the floor, kneeling down to pin her down, raising the thorn stake, slashing the thorn stake into Inadu, only a few times at first, then more and more as she felt more angry and more out of control, splattering herself in blood.

From 4.11 "A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken", in Rae's bedroom, Rae turned over in her bed, letting her eyes glow blue, revealing the Hollow was possessing her, closing her eyes to go to sleep.

Rebekah: (voice over from 4.11 A Spirit Here That Won't Be Broken) "She's gone."

Day One

Morning - Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was sitting in her family mausoleum, kneeling in front of the book for the Hollow, chanting a spell to get the answers that she needed. "Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia."

----

Land of the Dead

Night - Woods

Auria seemed to be transported into the land of the dead, walking through the woods toward a hovel home where Inadu had been born and raised with her mother. She could hear a baby crying from here, slowly walking closer, lifting the flap to walk inside.

----

Land of the Living

Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was pulled back into her body when she heard the ritual being disrupted by a couple of witches walking inside. "I was wondering when you guys were gonna come for me."

"We're here to take back what belongs to our master," Witch 1 told her, looking at the book.

Auria stood. "Well, you're gonna have to kill me first."

Witch 1 smirked. "She was wishing you'd say that. But you know that she can't kill you, Auria. Not if she wants more power."

Auria looked between the two witches on either side of her, turning around to see another witch walk closer from behind her, raising her arm, using magic to throw Witch 3 up into the ceiling above, dropping him to the floor. Witch 2 ran toward Auria to push her to the floor. Auria grabbed an animal bone from the floor, stabbing Witch 2 in the throat, pushing him off of her, standing. Witch 1 held Auria in place with a spell, casting a powerful pain infliction spell that made her stop and fall unconscious so that he could grab the book and leave with it.

Lucien's Penthouse - Bedroom

(Song:) White Noise - Ella Vos

Kassandra and Lucien were in bed, laying back underneath the covers, both breathing a little heavily, looking at each other, smiling.

"I really hope you have something else in mind other than this to make things right, because we cannot spend every hour of every day like this, though we would like to," Kassandra told him.

Lucien chuckled. "I know, and it's not my only idea on making amends. But are we complaining about this method?"

"No," Kassandra answered. "Just a tad curious on how one never seems to tire."

Lucien smiled. "Oh, love, stamina's never been our issue, be it the way we were before, or the way we are now." Kassandra tried to hide an embarrassed smile, unable to resist a subtle blush, so she placed her head on Lucien's chest to cover it up. Lucien laughed softly in amusement. "The one good thing about the way you are now is that I can embarrass you. Before, comments like these just earned me an amused look. Now, I can get a very amusing reaction out of you."

Kassandra smiled. "Shut up." They both chuckled, laughing. "Enjoy it while you can, because my mind's not always going to be like this."

"I pray not," Lucien told her. "Yes, this is one amusing side to it, but I don't like to see you suffer with the rest of it. I want to help cure your mentality." Kassandra looked up. "Which will happen soon, my love."

Lucien leaned closer to kiss Kassandra slowly and passionately. They pulled away.

Kassandra smiled. "I know. I love you."

Lucien pulled Kassandra closer to kiss her gently but deeply and passionately for a long moment, pulling away. "I love you, too, darling." He turned to lay kisses over her skin, up her stomach, chest, neck and both her cheeks, saying words in between each kiss. "More... than... my... own... life. And I... will... make it... right." Kassandra couldn't help but laugh at being happy and loved once again. Lucien looked up at her, smiling. "I will be here... I will help you with anything that you need. Anything that you need, I will help you with. Anything you want, I will give to you. Including peace with your family."

Kassandra sat up, looking slightly concerned. "You don't have to face them if you don't want to."

"Oh, but I do want to," Lucien told her. "I need to. You're not the only one that I need to make amends for, darling. I admit, it will be hard and awkward, but..."

"You need to try to make it right," Kassandra finished. "I understand."

"I know you do," Lucien told her. "So you understand why I have to do this." Kassandra nodded. "Feelings for your family aside, I never wanted to hurt them like I did. I need to make it right. Even if they don't feel the need to."

"Why are you so intent for this need to?" Kassandra asked.

"For you, Kassandra," Lucien answered. "I know your family has only wanted to protect you, just like I have. Even if they had to protect you from me when I was not in my right mind. I want them to know the truth, that I never wanted for this to happen, that I couldn't control it."

"They know, Lucien," Kassandra told him. "They already know."

"Still," Lucien told her. "I know that I've tried to talk you into leaving your family in the past, because I wanted you to be happy, and back then, what made you happy was the thought that you could have a life of your own. But now, I see that you need your family to be happy, to be strong, just as you need me. You've always wanted peace between me and your family. Let me give it to you."

Kassandra couldn't help but smile.

Abattoir Compound - Elijah's Study

Elijah was sitting at his desk, gazing off thoughtfully.

Nicola walked closer with two drinks, sitting on the desk, placing his drink in front of Elijah. "We should be celebrating your return. What better way to celebrate than by drinking the day away? Said like a true alcoholic, but at least when I drink, it's for good reason." Elijah smiled a small smile. Nicola chuckled, taking a drink. "Knew I could get a smile. It's a beautiful day, the Hollow is dead, and you are back. Much to the joy of custom suit tailors everywhere, not to mention me."

Elijah stood. "You seem to be taking all of this in stride. What you've seen, the things we've done."

"If you're talking about the red door... I get it," Nicola told him. "The things I saw in there... I've seen worse when it comes to the things that I've seen... or the things that I've done. Not just when it comes to vampires, Elijah. To the people or to the things that got in my way when I lost control. Humans, too. Our fight in your head... it might be who you are at your core, but it was amplified to where you lost control. You're not like that every day of every hour. I'm not so affected by what happened in your mind, because I have done much worse to others, even if I didn't mean to. And I know that you didn't mean to."

Elijah was relieved to hear this, though he still looked as if he blamed himself and hated himself for what happened. "Nonetheless... I am sorry, Nicola."

"I know you are," Nicola told him. "And I know that you don't think you deserve forgiveness, but you have mine. I know the sacrifices you've made for yourself, for your family. Even me. You've saved us all at various times. And you've been saving me from myself for a while now. It was my turn to save you from yourself."

Elijah was impressed with this answer, smiling a small smile. Nicola nodded, smiling. They looked at each other for a moment, kissing slowly and sweetly, becoming more passionate and deep.

Upstairs Living Room

Mikayla was sitting on the couch, thinking.

Kacie was leaning against the doorway. "After last night, I didn't expect to hear from you, Mikayla."

"Well, I knew that after last night's defeat, you might be leaving soon," Mikayla told her. "You, and Eliza, Tory and Luke. Lindsey and Ryan, Emma and Danny. Since you Lockwoods, Davis-Thompsons and Forbes don't have much more reason to stay with us Mikaelsons, Salvatores and Labonairs. Not even a Gerard, Rayvnne, Harris or Dumaine."

"So you called me over to say goodbye?" Kacie asked. "Nice." Mikayla chuckled, a little nervous, pouring a couple drinks, setting them out for each of them. Kacie walked closer to sit down next to her. They clinked their drinks, taking a sip. "Mikayla? You okay?"

"I was just thinking about yesterday," Mikayla answered. "Before we defeated the Hollow, she got into my head. Confronted me with a vision."

"She gave me a vision, too," Kacie told her. "She showed me my brother... berating me and hating me for what I've been doing here in this city. What did you see?"

"Jackson," Mikayla answered. "He was hurting me. I couldn't fight back because Inadu was in my head. And... she brought up you." Kacie nodded, looking down. "You don't seem surprised by that."

"Because after she showed me my brother, she also showed me you, Mikayla," Kacie told her. "About how wolves are wild things, and that it doesn't matter who you are as long as you satiate a longing, a need, and a hunger. And that vampirism heightens those emotions and instincts. She said that I wasn't the only one that felt something."

"You're not, Kacie," Mikayla told her. "There was one thing right about yesterday. Yes, I push people away after losing what I lost, because I might be scared of losing someone else. But I also don't want to live in fear of losing someone for the rest of my life. Which, get this, lasts forever."

Kacie chuckled, nodding in agreement. "Hey. Whatever happens... in our long, long lives of immortality, we can still die at any moment. And it's better to live your life and feel alive than be afraid to live it at the fear of losing something else. Everyone loses something. It's up to us to make sure that we don't lose everything. I just kept thinking about all the things I didn't tell you. I know that you feel something for me as a Lockwood, too, Mikayla Labonair. I just didn't fully realize what I felt for you until last night."

Mikayla couldn't help a small smile, because she knew that at least she wasn't alone in this. "And what is it you feel about me, Kacie Lockwood?"

Kacie and Mikayla looked at each other for a moment, both unsure about how to go, but knowing what they felt. Kacie leaned closer to kiss her slowly and softly for a moment, waiting her reaction. Mikayla deepened the kiss, more at ease and at peace for the first time in a long time. They pulled away, both breathing deeply in relief, smiling small smiles, kissing more passionately.

Downstairs Living Room

Kol was sitting at the bar, having a drink.

Eliza walked closer, pulling on her jacket. "What's got you stress drinking?"

Kol sighed, turning in his seat to face Eliza. "Elijah had a call with Kassandra. They want the family to meet with Lucien after everything that happened, to make sure that we're all okay. All on the same page."

"So you already told Elijah that Lucien is back from the dead," Eliza told him. Kol nodded. "How'd he take it?"

"Surprised, but not shocked, given that the Hollow has been holding the promise of bringing Lucien back over Kassandra's head since she had herself locked in the dungeon," Kol answered. "I think that he needs to see it to believe it, though." Eliza smirked, nodding in understanding. "Now that us Mikaelsons, Salvatores and Laboanirs have defeated our enemy, and the enemy of Harris, Dumaine, Rayvnne and Gerard, thanks to you, the Davis-Thompsons, Donovan and Lockwood, you and your friends don't have a reason to stay in the city, do you, Miss Forbes?"

"Mm, not unless you have another foe to vanquish," Eliza answered, stepping closer. "Unless some of us find other reasons to stick around. Like Mikaelsons, Salvatores, Laboanirs. Grey. Gerard. Rayvnne. Harris. Dumaine." Kol smirked at the hinting from Eliza. "If the Davis-Thompons, Donovan, Lockwood and I left, there may be opportunities lost. Same if you left like you were planning on."

Kol smirked in amusement. "Opportunities? What opportunities, exactly?"

"Food to be savored, music to be enjoyed," Eliza answered. "Broken relationships to be mended. Like your family's sort of hatred relationship with Lucien. It wasn't his fault, so maybe you could find some sort of peace with him, for Kassandra's sake, if nothing else."

"Well, he's not trying to kill our family, and we're not trying to kill him," Kol told her. "That's about as mended as that's gonna get."

Eliza chuckled in amusement. "Oh, so dramatic. Aren't you the one that is usually calling me out on being dramatic?" Kol smirked, taking a drink. Eliza poured herself a drink to take a sip. "You know, not everything is about power struggles to see who's stronger."

"Well, that's easily decided by what Kassandra and Lucien are now, darling," Kol told her. "They're stronger than the rest of us, Eliza."

"I'm just saying that your family has a tendency to complicate things, Kol," Eliza told him. "Smoothing things over might be better for everyone. Especially your sister. Pretty sure that playing nice with her resurrected one true love will finish mending the broken relationship that your family is trying to repair with Kassandra. I'm not trying to tell you what to do, Kol. It's just a suggestion that might make everything easier on everyone."

"No, I get it," Kol told her. "And you're probably right, Eliza."

"I'm always right," Eliza told him. Kol gave her an amused look, raising his eyebrow slightly questioningly. They both chuckled. "I better head out. Marcel went to check on Auria in the cemetery earlier this morning, and found her knocked out by a bunch of witches that attacked her. Marcel called Tory, Lindsey, Ryan, Luke and me to have us meet with him, Auria, Noah and Caitlin later."

"Yes, because they would rather meet with the lot of you rather than my family at the moment," Kol told her. "Once again, you're right, Eliza. There would be lost opportunities if you left town."

Eliza tilted her head, nodding, shrugging.  "Like I said. Always right."

"You would like to think so," Kol told her. They chuckled. "I see you're purposefully not asking about what happened last night."

"Between us, you mean?" Eliza asked. Kol nodded. "I'm just not wanting to read too much into it. Don't want to push. I know you're still healing from what happened five years ago. So..."

"If you're asking if I regret kissing you, I don't," Kol told her.

Eliza chuckled, nodding slightly. "I don't regret it, either, Kol. Though I would like a little more warning if it was ever to happen again."

Kol smirked, setting his glass down, standing. "Warning, then."

Eliza smiled, meeting Kol halfway in a passionate kiss for a long moment.

Noah/Caitlin's Apartment - Bedroom

Caitlin was getting better, sitting up, healed.

Noah sat next to her with bourbon and blood. "Hey, Caitlin."

"Hey, Noah," Caitlin told him, taking her glass, drinking it all, handing it back to him. "More, please."

Noah chuckled. "Coming right up." Noah gave her a second glass. Caitlin drank it all down as well. Noah drank his more slowly. "See? I told you that we would cure you, and save you. How you feeling?"

"Out of it," Caitlin answered. "When the Hollow grabbed me, it was like I was shoved down into some dark corner of myself. I never felt so lost. Like I was slipping away. And in that moment, after she left, it was just darkness. I wasn't sure I'd make my way back."

"Yeah, but you did," Noah told her. "You made it back. You held on to your life, and you're alive."

"Thanks to you," Caitlin told him. "And Auria, and Marcel... and Davina. Luke, Ryan, Kacie, Tory, Eliza, Lindsey. Thank you, Noah. All of you. I knew that you, Mr. Dumaine..." Noah smiled at her teasing. "Would never let anything happen to me. And neither would Rayvnne and Gerard. But the Davis-Thompsons, Donovan, Forbes and Lockwood helped. And even the Mikaelsons, Salvatores and Labonairs. So thank you."

Caitlin and Noah smiled, leaning closer to kiss slowly and softly for a long moment, embracing, pulling away. Noah caressed both her cheeks in relief.

(Song Ends)

Caitlin suddenly felt something, looking worried. "I don't think she's gone."

"No, no, no," Noah told her. "Nicola killed her last night."

"Noah..." Caitlin trailed off. "Noah, I can feel her. The Hollow's still out there somewhere. I know she is."

----

Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Freya and Kol were gathered.

Kol sighed. "Does this really have to happen today?"

"Kol, you agreed that you would at least hear him out," Rebekah reminded him. "I know that you don't want to talk to Lucien, only because it reminds you that everything Rosalita did to him and by extension to Kassandra is because she wanted revenge against you. It's okay to admit it."

"I will not admit anything until I see Kassandra and Lucien's faces," Kol told them.

"Even after all that trouble we've been going through to convince Kassandra not to blame herself, and here you are blaming yourself," Freya told him. "Kol, you couldn't have controlled Rosalita like she controlled everyone else."

Lucien and Kassandra walked in.

"Yes, it seems that even when she's dead, we're all still playing Rosalita's game, and it seems that she's still winning, the conniving bitch," Lucien told them. Kassandra, Kol and Klaus smirked at the way that he spoke of Rosalita in amusement, because they felt the same way. Rebekah and Freya were impressed, amused. Elijah had been told of Lucien's return, but was stunned to see him alive for himself. "Hello, Mikaelsons. Thank you for agreeing to meet."

"You don't know how to stay dead, do you?" Kol asked, taking a drink.

Lucien looked at Kassandra. Kassandra gave Lucien a significant look, because she had told him that either Kol or Klaus would make that joke. Lucien smirked slightly.

"If you want something, it will have to wait," Klaus told him. "See, the Salvatores, Labonairs, Lockwoods, Davis-Thompsons, Forbes, Gerard, Dumaine, Harris, Ravynne, Grey and we Mikaelsons just defeated the Hollow last night after many months of struggle, so we would like a day of peace to celebrate that victory."

Kassandra rolled her eyes, giving Klaus a look. "Nik..."

"I don't want to take that from you," Lucien told them. "I just want to apologize. I know... we haven't always gotten along the best, and there are some things that I've done that I can never take back... but  I want you to know that I never meant for any of that to happen."

"You're apologizing for falling prey to an immortal psychic's mind control, Rosalita, who made it her mission to destroy all of our lives, and damage of that and compulsion to be Niklaus for 500 years, and a magical hex from the Ancestors to make you mad," Elijah told him. "While I appreciate the effort... what happened was not your doing."

Kassandra looked at Lucien, tilting her head. "I told you they would see it that way, too."

Lucien smiled sarcastically.

Rebekah chuckled, walking toward them. "And while our family has gotten the chance to apologize to our sister about everything that happened, Lucien, we haven't had the chance to apologize to you, being that you were, you know, dead."

"And you realize that you died the third time at our hands because we were trying to protect Kassandra and avenge our fallen brother and friend," Klaus told him.

"Yes, I do realize that," Lucien answered sullenly.

Elijah and Freya gave Klaus a look. "Niklaus."

Klaus sighed, looking down. "But as I've said to my sister... I am not free of responsibility over what happened to the two of you. The blame doesn't just fall on Rosalita, though we all wish it did. I realize that a third of the blame falls on me for my compulsion... and I've apologized to Kassandra. But I haven't to you."

Kol sighed. "A certain blonde vampire reminded me that playing nice with our baby sister Kassandra's one true love will be in our favor and mend broken relationships when it comes to her. But apologies are easier for us when we're apologizing to family, Lucien, so forgive us if we need to take a moment to figure out how to apologize to someone that turned to foe because of our mistakes."

"I'm pretty sure you can take both what Klaus and Kol are saying as an apology," Freya told him. "For Niklaus' compulsion and the fact that he has killed you twice." Klaus nodded sheepishly. Kol chuckled. "And Kol's ex-girlfriend doing this to you for revenge against him. Even though I helped them kill you, Lucien, it was our hand in what happened to you that led to the destruction of our sister. And I apologize for what I've done to both of you."

Elijah walked toward them. "As I assume neither you or Kassandra forgive yourselves for what you've been forced to do to us and to others in the past, Lucien, you realize that we haven't forgiven ourselves for what happened to you or to our family either. Even if others forgive you, and even if you forgive us. Please accept my apology."

Lucien was impressed with all of this. Kassandra was only a little surprised, smiling a small smile.

Rebekah smiled at the fact that her little sister could be happy again, looking at Lucien. "You're sorry. We're sorry. We've traded apologies and forgiveness. What else is there to do?"

"Amends," Kassandra answered. "Lucien doesn't believe that he should just give an apology or accept forgiveness. He wants to show us that he means it."

The family was impressed, nodding slightly.

Lucien looked at Kassandra, a little nervous. Kassandra smiled a small, understanding smile.

Rae's Room

Rae/The Hollow was sitting on her bed in front of a blank piece of paper and crayons.

Kaylin walked toward her. "Hey, sweetie. Drawing something?"

Rae/The Hollow looked at the pad blankly. "Yes."

"What's that supposed to be?" Kaylin asked teasingly. "A snowstorm?" She chuckled, sitting next to Rae, picking up a brush to brush through Rae/The Hollow's hair. "So, now that all this trouble's behind us, I thought that we could have a chat about what happens next. I know that you like it here, and that you like it with the Mikaelsons and Labonairs, that you like to have Hope as a friend, but I know that you want to have more friends, like Emma and Danny, and school, and art, and sports, and that you'll miss the Davis-Thompsons, Lockwoods, Forbes when they go..." Rae/The Hollow was looking blankly at the pad of paper. "Hey. You okay?"

Rae/The Hollow looked at Kaylin, nodding. "I'm fine."

"Rae, if you're worried about the Hollow, don't be," Kaylin told her. "Everything's okay now. I promise."

Kaylin kissed her fingers, holding them out to Rae/The Hollow. Rae/The Hollow looked confused. Kaylin was a little because they always did that when they made a deal or a promise.

"Can I go back to my drawing?" Rae/The Hollow asked.

Kaylin nodded cautiously. "Sure. Yeah."

Kaylin stood, walking out of the room. Rae/The Hollow looked down, biting her lip slightly, knowing that Kaylin knew something was wrong.

Lafayette Cemetery

Marcel, Auria, Caitlin and Noah were meeting up with Tory, Lindsey, Luke, Ryan and Eliza.

"Impossible," Luke told them. "Whatever those thieving acolytes are up to, they function independently of the Hollow. Nicola killed her. We saw her lose control on that bitch with our own eyes."

"Her body is dead, Luke," Auria told him. "That's not enough."

"What are you saying?" Lindsey asked.

"I'm saying that by now, the Ancestors should've been able to imprison her spirit," Auria answered. "That didn't happen."

"The spirit's still out there," Caitlin told them. "So, she must've had a Plan B."

"No doubt," Ryan told them. "Maybe she had assistance."

"I've spent the past couple of days trying to figure out a way to lock the Hollow up for good," Auria explained.

"And do you have any answers?" Tory asked.

"Yes," Auria answered. "And no. I used the book to put myself into a trance."

"Which book are you talking about?" Eliza asked.

"The book Auria's father found," Marcel answered. "Contains the secrets of the Hollow's magic. Written in Phelan's handwriting."

"Ah, well, you can see how no part of this filled me with a modicum of confidence," Eliza told them, turning away to start pacing.

"And while I was in that trance, I met with the spirit of Inadu's mother," Auria told them. "From her, I was trying to get the same spell that she used 1500 years ago to put her daughter down. Now, that's when those acolytes showed up and stopped me."

"Well, what are you waiting for?" Tory asked. "We'll help you get back to work."

"The acolytes took the book," Noah told them.

"I have a car full of grimoires," Lindsey told them. "Take your pick."

"Lindsey, I don't need your library," Auria told her. "That book is special. That book represents and extension of the Hollow's power into this world, all right? It is just as eternal as she is. And I'm telling you right now, if I tweak that spell in just the right way, I can lock her in the book and put the Hollow down for good."

"So where is it now?" Ryan asked.

"It's still with the acolytes," Noah answered.

Auria picked up a page from the book from the nearby table to show them. "I used this page from the book to track them to the place where she was reborn. That's where you'll find them."

Tory took the page. "All right. Luke, Ryan, Eliza, stay here with Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria. Make sure nothing disrupts Auria from finding out a way to stop the Hollow."

"Tory and I'll go tell the Mikaelsons, Salvatores and Labonairs what we've found," Lindsey told them. "No doubt they'll want to be involved in a bloodbath to get that book back."

Luke, Ryan and Eliza nodded in agreement.

Tory and Lindsey walked away through the cemetery.

Abattoir Compound - Outside Balcony

Hayley was standing on the outside balcony.

Riley walked out toward her. "Let me guess. Thinking about the Mikaelson/Salvatore/Labonair family drama?"

"Things between us are complicated, Riley," Hayley told him.

"Well, that's a word often used to describe the Mikaelsons, and the Salvatores," Riley told her. "But one thing remains quite simple. They protect each other with a fierce passion."

"I know that," Hayley told him. "And I know the sacrifices they've made for each other, their family. They've saved Mikayla, Kaylin, Nicola and me, Hope and Rae, all at various times. But I know their impulses, their natural instincts, about killing and eliminating threats. I know that's who they really are at their core."

"And that scares you?" Riley asked. "You're afraid that Hope will see that side of them?"

"I worry that she'll see that I'm okay with it," Hayley answered. "What am I teaching her if I allow her to grow up in a place where we trap our enemies in dungeons and retaliate against threats by killing whole neighborhoods? I--I don't want her learning to become that. I never should have brought Hope back here."

"Listen, I am on your side, Hayley, but you had to bring her back," Riley told her. "The Hollow found Hope and Rae while you were hundreds of miles away from this city. She made them sick, and you had to bring them back so that Auria and Tory could cure them on New Orleans soil so that they didn't have to die."

Hayley sighed. "Okay, but we shouldn't have stuck around, Riley."

Riley sighed, thinking for a moment. "The Hollow still would have found you and made you bring her back, or killed you for taking her away again. That's if the Mikaelsons didn't. Well, at least she has it easier than Rae. Rae is a lot different than Hope, Hayley. She doesn't have the luxury of being in the dark. All the souls that Cade fed her when he brought her back was the souls of the wicked, and she remembers every memory that they have. She even had Cade's soul. She remembers everything that he did, everything that he had become. So, this family's evil deeds is nothing compared to the things that she remembers from Cade's soul. Kaylin can't control how she turns out, because she can't control what she sees or what she hears, now, or in the past, or in the future. Being with the Mikaelsons is not going to change the way Rae is anymore than seeing the memories of the souls that have fed her for the past two years."

Hayley was stunned by this point of view, knowing he was right. "Kaylin might not be able to control what Rae sees and hears, or what she turns out to be... but I can control Hope's fate." Riley sighed. Hope walked outside toward them worriedly. "Hey, Hope. What's wrong?"

"I don't think she's gone," Hope told them. "The Hollow."

"No, Hope," Riley told her. "We defeated her last night."

"Riley..." Hope trailed off. "Mom, I can feel her. The Hollow is still alive. She's here. I know she is. She feels so close."

Hayley and Riley looked at each other worriedly in alarm.

Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was pouring a circle of salt on the floor of the tomb, talking to Marcel, Noah and Caitlin. "So now the only way for us to trap the Hollow is to get that spell from Inadu's mother."

"You want to find a way to see her without the book?" Noah asked.

"Right," Auria answered. "But the problem is, I'm not strong enough to do it on my own, so I'm gonna need to channel your power."

Marcel shook his head worriedly. "No."

Marcel saw a bloodstain on the floor next to the dead body of the witch that Auria had killed, which was painted in the form of the Ouroboros symbol by the witch that she had killed.

Auria knew what he was worried about. "Marcel, you know me. Look at me. I know what I'm doing, and I know that I'm not being taken over by the Hollow. You've made sure of that. You've been making sure of that since I told you that I needed your help. Do I look like one of those acolytes? Do I look like Will?"

"No," Marcel answered.

Caitlin sighed, walking closer. "What do you need us to do?"

"Give me your hands," Auria answered. She took one of Noah and Marcel's hands, while Caitlin held her hand on Auria's shoulder. They knelt down in the middle of the salt circle to start the spell. "Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia. Cencahua ezhuia."

Land of the Dead

Night - Woods

Auria walked through the woods toward the hovel home, hearing the baby cry, but the hovel disappeared before she could get to it. She was forced out.

Land of the Living

Day - Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was still in the circle, holding Marcel and Noah by the hands, while Caitlin had her hand on Auria's shoulder so that she could channel their power. She sat back on the floor as if she had been pushed out, letting go. "I couldn't get to her. The living aren't meant to be there."

"Okay, well, come on, let's try again," Caitlin told her.

"No," Auria told them. "There's no point. Even with your power, it's not enough. The book was the only thing powerful enough to let me reach her."

"Okay, so where does that leave us now?" Noah asked.

"Leaves us with one option," Auria told them. "I'm gonna have to be dead."

Marcel gave Auria a look, sighing. "Auria."

Noah scoffed, nodding, knowing that would have been the answer, shaking his head, looking away. "Of course you would say that."

Caitlin put a hand to her head, tilting her head in a seriously motion. "Again? Seriously?"

Auria smirked at their reactions.

Abattoir Compound - Upstairs Living Room

Rae/The Hollow was looking around the upstairs living room.

Rebekah found her. "What are you doing? Aren't you supposed to be with the other kids? Lindsey and Ryan are gonna be leaving with Emma and Danny soon. You might want to say goodbye to the Davis-Thompsons."

"Are they sure they want to go yet?" Rae/The Hollow asked. "They might have to stay for protection. I can't protect you on my own."

"Rae, you don't have to protect us," Rebekah told her. "We're all here to protect you. Sweetheart, in a thousand years, my family has never been bested. There's nothing that can defeat us."

Rae/The Hollow smirked. "Well, there is two things. Rosalita and me."

Rae/The Hollow made a gesture with her hand, magically ripping wood off the fireplace, shooting it into Rebekah's heart through her back, neutralizing her temporarily, watching as she desiccated and fell to the floor, smirking smugly.

Freya's Room

Freya was getting dressed.

Keelin walked up behind Freya, wrapping her arms around her from behind, smiling. "You coming to pick me up from work this morning, it was nice."

"Well, the truth is, uh, I almost ran," Freya told her. "Pretty good at that, actually."

"Why didn't you?" Keelin asked.

Freya turned to face Keelin, holding their hands together between them. "Well, it just hit me that when I die, I'm not going to wake up five minutes later. Neither are you. Compared to the rest of my family, my life is going to be so short. And I guess I just didn't want to waste it running anymore."

Keelin chuckled softly. "I'm glad you didn't."

They kissed, smiling.

Woods

Nicola, Elijah, Klaus, Kol and Kassandra were walking together toward the cabin in the woods where Inadu had killed Elijah.

Nicola and Elijah were walking further back behind the others to have a moment to talk to themselves.

"Maybe you should wait here," Nicola told him. "We're heading to the place where you died. We wouldn't blame you."

"If I thought I couldn't do this, I wouldn't have come," Elijah told her. Nicola nodded. Elijah turned to face her. "Nicola, when this is done, whatever happens to me and my family, because you are the person that will most likely survive this... I want you to leave this place and find some resemblance of peace that you wanted. Get away from this. All of it."

"Elijah, if you're telling me to leave because you might die again, it's not happening," Nicola told him. "I already lost control on your killer after she killed you to make me lose control. Elijah, two years of emptiness, an endless parade of slaughter where I was hurting everyone close to me... even my family and my friends... until I found you again, until you helped me learn control. If I went through that again... if I lost my anchor again, for good this time... there's no telling who could take control or what will happen. You're right. I have the most chance against the Hollow because she can't use magic against me. And that means I have the most likely chance of wiping her off the face of this earth. And if that's what it takes to save you and save your family, and me and mine, then that's what I'm gonna do."

Elijah was impressed and relieved with this response, though he was still worried about what could happen to both of them and their families. Nicola nodded understandingly, walking toward the others. Elijah slowly followed.

"Are you all right?" Kassandra asked.

"Yes," Kol answered. "Are you?" Kassandra looked at him. "You might have gotten Lucien in return from all of this mess, Kassandra, but it didn't cure you."

"I'm fine, Kol," Kassandra told him. "I know what we are, and admittedly, we've each done things that brought this upon us. It is the universe's cruel attempt at karma, though the monster we now face is worse than we are now, because the same thing that turned us into monsters also created her. Rosalita. We were monsters for a thousand years. Until Hope came to us. Until Kaylin, Nicola, Rae... them and Hayley and Mikayla... they've helped us stop being the monsters that we were. The only ones we eliminate now are the ones that are a threat to us, and a threat to this city. We Mikaelsons... Salvatores... Labonairs. A family united. And friends that have become like family. The Forbes, Lockwoods, Davis-Thompsons. Gerard, Dumaine, Harris and Rayvnne. We're all united now."

"And now you have Lucien's return," Elijah told her. Kassandra didn't answer, looking down. "I'm not judging you, Kassandra. As I'm sure that Niklaus, Rebekah, Freya and Kol have stated... we were all devastated at what happened to you, and we knew that it was partially our doing, and how we've wanted to undo some of our mistakes but couldn't... part of that was undone for us when Lucien was brought back to life, clean of madness. You can actually be happy again. I'm happy for you, sister."

Kassandra nodded. "I know. Thank you."

Kassandra smiled, chuckling.

"Wow," Kol told her. "That smile and that laugh. Almost forgot what that looked and sounded like."

As Kol had planned, that got a real laugh out of Kassandra.

Kassandra smiled, shaking her head. "Shut up."

Klaus smiled. "It's okay, Sandra. We're happy that you finally get to happy, even after all you've said about not deserving happiness. You still get it."

Kassandra looked at Kol. "So, this 'certain blonde vampire' that you were saying convinced you to play nice with Lucien... I take it you were referring to Eliza."

Kol smirked. "Do not start about me and Eliza, Sandra."

Kassandra smiled. "No, I think it's good, Kol. You deserve to be happy again, too. You and Mikayla got to move on, with Eliza and Kacie." Her brothers looked at her in confusion, as if they hadn't noticed Mikayla and Kacie's interactions or anything. Kassandra rolled her eyes, giving them a look. "Am I the only one with eyes around here? I'm still half-mad, and I saw things that you still don't."

Nicola smiled at them, shaking her head.

----

Abattoir Compound - Upstairs Living Room

Kaylin was sitting on the couch in the upstairs living room, quietly worrying. Hayley and Riley were sitting across from her, having told her what Hope had told them.

Mikayla, Kacie and Freya walked in.

Mikayla smiled. "So, I know we're not always the most open around here, but I have to tell someone..." She noticed that something was off. "What's wrong?"

"I've been thinking all morning about what happened last night," Kaylin told them. "The Hollow had all of us. She could've killed us, but she didn't."

"She took Kaylin, Ryan and Mikayla's blood and left," Hayley told them. "Why?"

"Well, blood can be used for a number of reasons," Freya told them. "Locator spells, healing spells, linking spells."

Riley stood. "Linking spell. She didn't link herself to Kaylin, or to Ryan, or to Mikayla. She took blood straight from Kaylin and Mikayla's veins. And at the abandoned house, she made Ryan hit his head and lose a lot of blood, but we couldn't find a trace of that blood when we looked through the house again."

"Hope and Caitlin think that the Hollow is still out there," Hayley told them. "They said that they could feel her, and that they felt as if she was close."

Kaylin held the brush toward Freya. "I took this from Rae's room. Tell me what kind of energy you feel."

Freya took the brush, doing a reading, looking worried and horrified. "It's the Hollow's magic."

"Lindsey and Auria's weapon was supposed to kill her," Kacie told them.

"Unless she did a spell to send her to Rae once we had the chance to kill her," Freya told them.

"That's why she took Rae," Kacie told them. "Rae, she's psychic, she can read our thoughts, and she can control all of us, even the Huntress and Kassandra, and even spirits of people, like the Ancestors. Like the Hollow."

Mikayla sighed worriedly. "Kacie, can you call Lindsey and Tory and get them here? Now?" Kacie nodded, walking away to make the call. Mikayla looked at Kaylin, Hayley, Riley, and Freya. "She took Rae, because otherwise, Rae could have easily tell if she was inside any of us because of her mind control and reading mind ability. She would have told us if something was wrong, or if Inadu was in someone else's body. Rae could have mind controlled Inadu is she hadn't taken her over."

"She knows that I wouldn't hurt my own daughter, and she knows that none of you are going to hurt her, either," Kaylin told them.

Hayley was horrified. "What do we do?"

----

Lafayette Cemetery

Eliza, Luke and Ryan were standing outside Rayvnne tomb to make sure that no one went inside or disturbed Auria, Marcel, Noah and Caitlin.

----

Rayvnne Tomb

Caitlin set an hourglass on the table of the tomb, standing next to Marcel and Noah.

Auria walked closer, holding up a vial of poison. "This is a neurotoxin. Now, it's enough to stop my heart, and it's gonna give me plenty of time to finish up my business, with Inadu's mother."

"Okay, so how the hell do we bring you back?" Caitlin asked. Marcel took out a syringe full of a drug that would restart Auria's heart. Caitlin raised her eyebrows, nodding. "Okay."

Marcel placed the syringe on the table. "We jam it right into Auria's heart. That should start things up again, but we got to do it before the last grain of sand falls in this thing. If we don't, Auria dies, and our only chance of getting rid of that monster goes with her." He turned to Auria. "You better not die."

Auria smiled a small smile. "I'll be back." She walked over to the circle, sitting down inside it, raising the vial of poison in a toast. "Wish me luck."

"See you soon," Noah told her.

Auria drank the poison, lying down as she started to drift off.

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin were listening to the sound of her heartbeat slowing.

Noah turned over the hourglass to start the timer.

Marcel looked at the syringe with the drug that would restart Auria's heart.

Land of the Dead

Night - Woods

Auria walked through the woods of the land of the dead, walking toward the hovel, hearing the baby crying, walking over to it to talk to Inadu's mother to find the spell.

----

Land of the Living

Day - Cabin in the Woods

Nicola, Elijah, Kol, Klaus and Kassandra walked into the cabin to see the acolytes chanting over the book. "Pouvwa domini nostri. Pouvwa domini nostri. Pouvwa domini nostri."

"Sorry to break up your little prayer circle," Kassandra told them. "We've come for that book. And to kill the lot of you."

The witches turned to face them.

Witch 1 from before walked closer. "Even if you succeed in taking the book, you will stop nothing. The spell has already begun."

"Well, that is unfortunate," Kol told them, rushing closer, ripping out the heart of a witch.

Nicola used her sword to kill three vampires that were guarding them, by decapitation, quick and lethal.

The witches started to counterattack.

Witch 1 held his hand toward them to stop them. "Wait!" He looked between Nicola and the four siblings. "You've no idea the gravity of your situation, do you?"

"Well, by all means, spend the last few moments of your life illuminating things for us," Elijah told him.

"The Hollow has shed her flesh to take on that of another," Witch 1 told them.

"Yes, yes, yes, and we'll kill that body as well, and on and on until she gets the hint," Nicola told them.

Witch 1 smirked, shaking his head. "Oh, you won't dare kill the body she's taken. Even now, she's locking herself within the greatest psychic this world may ever known. The only one who can control Originals, beasts, and the Huntress." Klaus, Kol, Nicola, Elijah and Kassandra realized the danger that Rae and everyone else was in, looking worried and horrified, and furious. Nicola glared at Witch 1 murderously for doing this to her family. Klaus was almost as equally angry. "And in a lovely touch of irony, it's someone you would rather die than allow to be harmed."

Klaus transformed angrily, rushing toward Witch 1 to bite him on the neck, feeding, making him scream.

Abattoir Compound - Freya's Room

Freya was spelling the room with a protection spell to keep Keelin safe. "Apne za mene. Apne za mene. Apne za mene. Apne za mene. There. You'll be safe in here. Only I can enter."

Keelin shook her head. "Mm-mm. I'm not staying in here, Freya. The Hollow's tried to kill you, like, a hundred times."

"She knows you're my weakness," Freya told her.

"If you're fighting, I'm fighting," Keelin told her. "End of discussion." Freya smiled, touched, taking Keelin by the hands, leaning closer to kiss her softly. "Hey, just please don't try to stop me."

"I already have," Freya whispered.

Keelin looked confused, until she started to get tired and sleepy, starting to fall, realizing it was because of her. "Freya..."

Keelin fell unconscious into Freya's arms. Freya sat back on her bed to lay Keelin down, standing, walking out of the room.

----

Rae's Room

Kaylin walked into Rae's room to see Rae/The Hollow, furious, despaired and in denial.

Rae/The Hollow looked up at Kaylin, reading her mind. "You know. Good for you."

"I want my daughter back," Kaylin told her.

Rae/The Hollow smirked.

----

Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was still unconscious in the circle.

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin were pacing, waiting for the sand in the hourglass to fall and the time to go so that they could wake up Auria after she got the answers that she needed. They heard voices outside, witches and vampires aside, sighing, exchanging a look.

----

Outside

Eliza, Luke and Ryan were outside in front of the tomb to make sure that crowd of the vampires and witches wouldn't disturb the others inside, knowing they were in for a fight, sighing.

Vampire 1 smirked. "Eliza Forbes. Luke and Ryan Thompson. You wouldn't happen to know where Marcel Gerard, Noah Dumaine, Caitlin Harris and Auria Rayvnne are, would you?"

"Let me guess," Eliza told them. "You're here on behalf of the Hollow."

"All right, then, listen up," Ryan told them. "The only way you're gonna get to Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Auria is over our dead bodies."

"That won't be a problem," Vampire 1 told them.

Another piece of the crowd walked closer on either side of Eliza, Luke and Ryan.

Luke smirked, looking from Eliza to Ryan on either side of him, holding out his hands in a shrug. "We tried, right?"

Luke rushed over to rip the heart out of Vampire 1, letting him fall, holding up the heart for the other vampires to see smugly, smirking, raising his eyebrows, letting the heart fall.

Ryan let his eyes glow gold, baring his canines, growling, biting Vampire 2 on the neck viciously, ripping his throat out with the werewolf bite, letting him fall.

Eliza turned to behead Vampire 3 with her arm, backing away, watching the head and body fall, smirking smugly, turning to the other vampires.

Marcel, Noah and Caitlin rushed outside to help them with the fight, knowing that they were outnumbered and that they needed help.

----

Abattoir Compound - Rae's Room

Rae/The Hollow stood, walking toward Kaylin.

Kaylin paced around her. "I don't care how long it takes, or what I have to do. I will get my daughter back."

Rae/The Hollow revealed half of the Ouroboros symbol on her arm. "You won't. Rae is still fighting, but she'll give in soon, Kaylin. Once this is complete, I'll be in her body... permanently." She waved her arm toward Kaylin, using magic to throw her out of the glass doors behind her to the floor. Kaylin sat up, transforming angrily. Rae/The Hollow walked closer. "You won't hurt me. I'm your daughter. You can't."

Lindsey, Tory, Freya, Hope, Emma and Danny walked closer.

"Rae," Emma told her.

Rae/The Hollow looked at Lindsey, Tory, Freya, Hope, Emma and Danny, who all cast a silent fast sleeping spell that made Rae/The Hollow start to fall unconscious. Riley, Hayley, Mikayla and Kacie walked toward them worriedly. Rae/The Hollow started to fall asleep. Kaylin rushed closer to catch her as she fell, lifting her up, setting her down on the couch.

The others walked closer worriedly.

"How long do we have?" Kacie asked.

"She's not going to be happy when she breaks through that sleep spell," Lindsey told them. "Which means we need to work fast."

Hope turned to them. "Emma, Danny and I'll stay here with her. Rae's sleeping. The Hollow can't use her to hurt us. We can try to wake her up."

Emma and Danny nodded in agreement with Hope. Kaylin looked at Hayley and Lindsey. Hayley and Lindsey nodded.

Hayley sighed worriedly. "Riley, stay here with Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny."

Riley nodded. "Of course."

Kaylin, Hayley, Mikayla, Kacie, Freya, Tory and Lindsey walked out of the room.

Riley stayed with Hope, Emma, Danny and the unconscious Rae/The Hollow.

----

Lafayette Cemetery - Rayvnne Tomb

Auria was still unconscious in the circle. There were people yelling and screaming outside from the fight.

The hourglass was nearly empty.

----

Outside

Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Luke, Eliza and Ryan were still fighting with the crowd of vampires.

Ryan delivered a fatal werewolf bite to Vampire 4, snapping his neck, letting him fall.

Luke ripped the head off of Vampire 5, throwing his body into a statue, making it break.

Vampire 6 tried to punch Caitlin. Caitlin ducked, punching him in the gut, turning to kick Vampire 7 in the stomach behind her,  punching her hands into both their chests, ripping out both their hearts, letting them both fall, dropping their hearts next to them, turning around to face another oncoming vampire, holding up her bloody hands in fists, ready to fight.

Vampire 8 rushed toward Noah. Noah grabbed him, slamming him against a tomb, throwing him down, turning to punch Vampire 9 in the face, so hard that he snapped his neck, letting him fall, ripping out both vampires hearts, dropping them to the ground carelessly, turning his head to look behind him for any other threats.

Eliza backhand punched Vampire 10 in the face,. Vampire 10 tried to punch her. Eliza raised her arm to block the move, ducking another punch, spinning around to stand behind the vampire, punching her hand into his back to grip his heart, squeezing it as hard as she could, making him scream in pain, smirking, ripping out his heart, watching his body fall smugly, looking at the heart in her hand for a moment before she dropped it.

Vampire 11 tried to grab Marcel. Marcel broke his arm, slamming his hand against his chest to throw him across the cemetery, making him fall.

Six witches walked up from behind Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Eliza, Luke and Ryan, chanting a spell that brought them to their knees in agony, making their eyes bleed. "Arracher soti je. Arracher soti je. Arracher soti je."

The vampires, the hybrid and the wolf yelled in pain as blood continued to pour from their eyes, as the six witches tried to magically rip their hearts out.

Lucien rushed up behind the witches, snapping three of their necks and ripping the other three's hearts out in a blur of motion, letting them all fall, releasing Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Eliza, Luke and Ryan from their pain, who were all breathing heavily as they recovered.

"Thank me later," Lucien told them.

Marcel stood.

----

Rayvnne Tomb

Marcel rushed into the Rayvnne tomb, wiping the blood off his face, seeing that the hourglass was almost empty and the time was almost up, grabbing the syringe with the drug, rushing over to Auria, kneeling next to her to plunge the syringe into her heart, injecting the drug into her system, waiting for her to wake up. "Come on, come on, come on, come on, come on. Come on, Auria. Come on, come on, come on." Auria gasped back to life, breathing heavily. Marcel sighed in relief, helping Auria sit up, holding her steady, smiling. "Welcome back. Are you okay?" Auria nodded, trying to catch her breath. "Did you get what you needed?"

"Yeah, I did," Auria answered. "And I got some very bad news to go along with it."

----

Abattoir Compound - Downstairs Living Room

Freya, Tory and Lindsey were working on a spell, pouring salt onto a table in a circle in the middle of four candles. Kaylin, Mikayla and Kacie were watching them.

Hayley walked toward them. "Rae's still out. Hope, Emma and Danny are trying to wake her up. Riley's still watching them. You think this'll work?"

"The pendant was built to hold an immortal, by Auria," Tory told them. "So, it will hold Rae. We did our best repair it."

Inadu's spirit appeared, using magic to shatter the pendant before Freya, Lindsey and Tory could do the spell. "Valiant effort, but Rae belongs to me."

Inadu used magic to throw Mikayla and Kacie against the wall, making them fall, snapping their necks before they could fight back.

Kaylin turned to face Inadu furiously. "Over my dead body."

Hayley and Kaylin rushed toward Inadu, but they couldn't touch her, passing through her form, turning to face her in confusion, because if they couldn't fight her, they couldn't stop her.

Inadu smirked. "So be it."

----

Lafayette Cemetery

Lucien, Eliza, Luke, Ryan, Noah and Caitlin were standing over the dead bodies of the vampires and the witches of the Hollow.

Luke looked at Lucien. "So you go from a madman to saving our asses."

Lucien looked from Luke to Ryan. "I remember you two. Luke and Ryan Thompson. Basroq wolves. A bloodline that I was mind controlled by Rosalita to go after while trying to become this, because I needed their venom. Your father... he was one that I killed. I figured saving your lives would suffice as repayment."

Luke and Ryan were surprised but impressed with this.

Eliza smiled a small smile, wiping the blood from underneath her eyes. Caitlin and Noah wiped the blood from underneath their eyes.

Marcel helped Auria out of the tomb. "Okay, watch your step."

"You killed all these people?" Auria asked.

"Vampires," Caitlin corrected.

"And yeah," Noah answered. "Lucien, Eliza, Luke and Ryan helped."

"They were loyal to the Hollow," Eliza told them. "They got what they deserved."

Klaus, Kassandra, Kol, Elijah and Nicola walked toward them.

"My sentiments exactly," Kol told them, noticing that Eliza was wiping blood from underneath her eyes, and that she had a blood stain in her shirt. "Eliza?"

"I'm okay," Eliza told him.

Kol sighed. "That monstrosity has its claws into Rae Salvatore."

Marcel and Auria looked at them worriedly in surprise, but Noah, Caitlin, Eliza, Luke and Ryan weren't surprised because Lucien had already told them after he had arrived.

Kassandra held the book toward Auria. "We said we'd get you this book in exchange for your help. You're up."

Marcel took the journal to give it to Auria.

"There's something you need to know," Caitlin told them. "It's about the Hollow. That thing took control of my body, just as it's done to Rae. While she had me, all I wanted to do was give up, just drift into darkness and be gone forever. But I knew if I did, she would have taken me over for good. You can't let that happen to Rae. She may be strong, but she's still a kid. We have to reach her, or all of this is for nothing."

----

Abattoir Compound - Ballroom

Inadu used magic to throw Tory, Lindsey and Freya to the floor, making them groan in pain.

Kaylin faced Inadu in anger and rage. "Rae will fight you."

"I can feel her love for you," Inadu told her. "It's a shame it's not enough."

Inadu used magic to throw a stake into Hayley's chest, using it to throw her across the room and into the wall at the end of the room, pinning her, the contact from her head hitting the wall with enough strength to snap her neck and knock her out. She used magic to snap Kaylin's neck.

Tory stood, screaming at Inadu to release a psychic bomb that shattered all of the glass in the room and made it rain down around them. The psychic bomb threw Inadu through the double doors of the ballroom into the courtyard. Inadu's spirit couldn't make contact with the floor because she wasn't in any form. She was breathing heavily, transforming slightly.

Upstairs Living Room

Riley was watching Hope, Emma, Danny and the unconscious Rae/The Hollow. He heard the fight downstairs, looking at the kids.

Emma and Danny were helping Hope get into Rae's head so that they could find her and bring her out.

----

Rae's Mind Space - Rae's Bedroom

Hope, Emma and Danny appeared in Rae's room, looking around.

"Rae?" Emma asked.

Rae was sitting against the wall, looking exhausted and overwhelmed. Hope, Emma and Danny ran closer to kneel in front of Rae.

"We're here, Rae," Danny told her.

They tried to touch Rae so they could get her out of here and wake her up, but their hands passed through her like she was a ghost.

Rae let a tear fall. "The Hollow came. I tried to fight her. But everything is so dark. It's so cold... and I'm so tired..."

Reality - Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Eliza, Kol, Nicola, Elijah, Klaus, Kassandra, Lucien, Luke, Ryan, Marcel, Auria, Noah and Caitlin walked into the courtyard of the compound.

"All right, she's here," Noah told them. "You guys know what to do."

They all split up, leaving Ryan, Luke, Marcel, Noah and Caitlin by the door.

The light behind Caitlin began to flicker and crackle.

Caitlin turned to look behind her at the light, knowing that the Hollow was behind it. She turned around again to see that Inadu's spirit appeared in front of her.

"Hello again, Caitlin," Inadu told her, making a clawing motion with her hand, using magic to cause Marcel, Noah, Caitlin, Luke and Ryan agony, making them vomit blood and fall to the floor.

Ryan was unconscious. Inadu used magic to snap Marcel, Noah, Caitlin and Luke's necks, letting them fall to the floor, smirking smugly.

----

Rae's Mind Space - Rae's Bedroom

Rae was sitting against the wall, trying not to fall asleep. Hope, Emma and Danny were sitting in front of her, trying to keep her from falling asleep.

"Rae," Danny told her.

"Rae, listen to me," Hope told her. "You need to stay awake. Okay?"

"You have to stay with us," Emma told her. "Can you do that?"

Rae nodded. "I'll try."

----

Reality - Abattoir Compound - Ballroom

Klaus, Nicola, Elijah, Kol and Eliza walked in, seeing that Kacie, Mikayla, Hayley and Kaylin were unconscious, walking closer worriedly.

Inadu appeared. "How predictable."

Klaus turned to face Inadu, glaring. "You will pay for this."

Nicola rushed toward Inadu to attack her, but she passed through the spirity form, unable to fight her or kill her.

Inadu smirked smugly, raising her hand, using magic to snap Kol and Eliza's necks, letting them fall, levitating Elijah and Klaus in the air. "I've killed you once, Elijah. I won't hesitate to do so again."

Inadu used magic to snap Klaus and Elijah's necks, letting them fall unconscious.

Nicola turned to Inadu. "You can't do that to me, now, can you?"

"When Rae gives in, and she will eventually, I won't need magic to stop you," Inadu told her. "I'll just need her ability to control your mind."

They heard Kassandra's singsongy voice from the courtyard. "Inadu. Show yourself."

Inadu looked over her shoulder, smirking.

----

Courtyard

Kassandra and Lucien were pacing around.

"What's the matter?" Lucien asked. "The big, bad Hollow too scared to face me and Kassandra?"

Inadu walked toward them. "I hide from no one." Kassandra turned to face Inadu in annoyance, glaring. Lucien walked closer. Inadu held her hands toward Kassandra and Lucien, using magic to cause them agony. "Especially not a couple of beasts that haven't been able to keep ahold of all their sanity within a thousand years."

Kassandra powered through the magic to rush toward Inadu to try and attack her, only to pass through her. Inadu smirked, holding her hands out on either side of her toward Lucien and Kassandra, using magic to bring them to their knees, flicking her wrists to snap their necks, letting them fall unconscious.

Auria, Freya, Lindsey and Tory walked into view, casting a silent spell that created a circle of salt around Inadu in the form of yet another boundary spell to keep her trapped. Tory and Lindsey walked around one side of the boundary spell confidently, tilting their heads. Auria and Freya walked around the other side of the boundary spell confidently, smirking, until they reached the other side, meeting up.

"That is vicious," Lindsey told her. Inadu raised her hands toward the witches, trying to use magic, but it didn't work, as long as she was in the boundary spell. "Even for you. They must have struck a nerve."

Tory smirked. "I'm sure Kassandra and Lucien had a hell of a lot more to say."

"But it doesn't even matter, because they kept you occupied long enough for Auria to tell me, Lindsey and Tory her plan and the spell we needed to trap you," Freya told her.

"You really think you can defeat me?" Inadu asked. "You're welcome to try." She revealed that the Ouroboros symbol on her arm was almost complete. "But once Rae Salvatore gives in, I will be more powerful than you can even imagine."

"That's not gonna happen," Auria told her. "See, I've been communing with the Ancestors. Your mama among them. She gave me the spell she used to kill you, and now we're gonna put you in your cage. Forever."

Auria, Freya, Tory and Lindsey each held the book in front of them toward Inadu with one hand, holding their other hands toward Inadu, chanting. "Arrater majik sa a. Arrater majik sa a. Arrater majik sa a. Arrater majik sa a."

Inadu started to look more nervous, backing away unconsciously from the witches.

Nicola watched them smugly, walking closer.

----

Rae's Mind Space - Rae's Bedroom

Rae was sitting against the wall, trying not to fall asleep. Hope, Emma and Danny were sitting in front of her, trying to keep her from falling asleep.

"Rae," Danny told her. "Open your eyes. You can't fall asleep."

"You have to stay awake," Emma told her. "Okay?"

Hope was scared of losing Rae, looking terrified and upset. "Please listen to me. Rae." Rae opened her eyes, trying to stay awake. "I know who my family really is, Rae. I know that they were cruel. I know that they were mean. But that was before I came along. And I know that you knew what they are all along, and you never told me, you never showed me, because you were trying to protect me. I already knew, but you were protecting me. And now it's my turn to protect you. Rae..."

"It's our turn to save you, Rae," Emma told her.

Rae was emotional but relieved to hear all of this, smiling weakly and tiredly.

----

Reality - Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Inadu was still trapped in the salt circle.

Auria, Freya, Tory and Lindsey each held the book in front of them toward Inadu with one hand, holding their other hands toward Inadu, chanting. "Arrater majik sa a. Arrater majik sa a."

Inadu saw that the Ouroboros symbol on her arm was starting to fade as Rae was fighting back harder. "No!"

"That anger that you're feeling right now?" Lindsey asked. "That's called losing. Because after this, you're never gonna be able to lock yourself inside of Rae Salvatore. And once we put you inside of this book, you're never gonna be able to get out again, so..."

Auria, Freya, Tory and Lindsey continued to chant. "Arrater majik sa a." Inadu fell to her knees from within the boundary spell. "Arrater majik sa a."

----

Rae's Mind Space - Rae's Bedroom

Rae was sitting against the wall, trying not to fall asleep. Hope, Emma and Danny were sitting in front of her, trying to keep her from falling asleep.

"I'm scared," Rae told them, crying silently.

"I'm scared, too," Hope told her. "I'm scared that I'm gonna lose you. You're not just my friend, Rae. You're my sister."

"We need you, Rae," Danny told her. "We need you to fight."

"Please, come back to us," Emma told her.

Rae nodded. "I will."

----

Reality - Abattoir Compound - Courtyard

Inadu was still trapped in the salt circle, on her knees.

Auria, Freya, Tory and Lindsey each held the book in front of them toward Inadu with one hand, holding their other hands toward Inadu, chanting. "Arrater majik sa a." Inadu watched as the Ouroboros symbol on her arm faded into nothing, as Hope, Emma and Danny were helping Rae fight her. "Arrater majik sa a. Arrater majik sa a."

Inadu looked at Auria, Freya, Tory, Lindsey and Nicola furiously. "You think you've beaten me?"

Inadu used the rest of her strength to magically break the boundary spell around her, throwing Auria, Freya, Tory and Lindsey to the ground, knocking Auria, Freya and Lindsey out, magically snapping Tory's neck before she could fight back. Nicola rushed toward Inadu. Inadu, being unable to use magic against Nicola directly but being able to use magic on the things around Nicola to use them as weapons against her, broke off a stake from the bar, shooting it into Nicola's stomach so hard it propelled her back into a wall, pinning her there, long enough for her to get away.

----

Rae's Mind Space - Rae's Bedroom

Rae was sitting against the wall. Hope, Emma and Danny were sitting in front of her. The room around them started to shake and rumble around them. They all stood, turning to look at the black smoke and blue light as it attacked all four of the children before they could fight back, entering their bodies, overwhelming them before they could defend themselves.

----

Reality - Abattoir Compound - Rae's Room

Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny each woke up. They all had glowing blue eyes. They looked toward where Riley was still with them. "Hi, Riley."

Riley saw that they had glowing blue eyes, not knowing what to do because he didn't want to hurt them, but didn't want to let them leave, either.

Emma/The Hollow held a hand toward Riley, using magic to throw him through the wall, making the wall shatter and Riley fall to the floor in the other room.

Riley started to get up, letting his eyes glow gold. Danny/The Hollow held a hand toward Riley, using magic to push him up against the wall, slamming his head against it with enough magically strength that he fell unconscious to the floor.

Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny stood, walking out of the room.

----

Downstairs Living Room

Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny walked downstairs, seeing that everyone was unconscious and no one to stop them, except for Nicola who was still pinned to the wall in the courtyard, and couldn't make it into the room in time to stop them from leaving out the backdoor.

Hope/The Hollow saw the book on the floor, holding her hand toward it, using magic to make it burst into flames.

The four of them walked out together, leaving the carnage behind them.

Night - St. Anne's Church

(Song:) Ritual Spirit - Massive Attack & Azekel

Witches were all gathered around.

The Ouroboros symbol was on the wall.

Hope, Emma, Rae and Danny walked through the crowd toward the front, all of them possessed by the Hollow. The crowd around them made all for them to get to the sacristy. Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny turned to face everyone.

Everyone bowed to them.

Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny smirked smugly in amusement.

----

Abattoir Compound - Ballroom

Nicola was going around the compound to wake everyone up.

----

Courtyard

Everyone else was awake as well, all gathered.

"Where are they?" Marcel asked.

"We couldn't save them," Nicola told them. "Hope, Emma and Danny were trying to save Rae. They were in her mind, and because of that, the Hollow got to all of them. She was able to take control of all of them. They're gone."

Lindsey, Ryan, Kaylin, Klaus and Hayley were absolutely horrified by this, heartbroken.

"What?" Noah asked.

"They're the Hollow now," Caitlin told them sadly.

Freya sighed. "And being that they are all possessed by the Hollow, basically linked, it means that the ages for Rae, Emma and Danny will link up to Hope's, because they're all bound as one."

"We have to find them," Elijah told them. "Auria, surely you can pull the Hollow out of--"

"Elijah, it took Hayley, Mikayla, Kassandra, Noah, Kacie, Tory, Luke, Ryan and Riley to pull the Hollow out of Caitlin, and it nearly got them all killed," Freya told him.

"We don't have a place to put her," Tory told them. "The book is destroyed, all right? The book is the only thing that's powerful enough to house her eternal spirit."

"Well, there must be some other way," Riley told them.

"Riley's right," Rebekah told them. "We just have to think."

Lindsey looked at a loss, close to crying.

Ryan walked toward his wife worriedly. "Lindsey?"

"I don't know any other way," Lindsey told them. "Ryan..."

Ryan pulled Lindsey into his arms.

Hayley shook her head, walking toward the door.

Mikayla followed her. "Where are you going?"

"To find my daughter," Hayley answered.

"How are you going to do that?" Mikayla asked.

"I'll figure it out, Mikayla," Hayley told her.

Mikayla grabbed her arm to make her stop. "Let me help you."

Hayley, Mikayla, Lindsey and Ryan made a move to leave.

Kacie walked toward them. "Wait, Mikayla. Lindsey, Ryan, it's too dangerous to go yet. You need help."

Eliza sighed. "We need a plan."

Kaylin started to follow.

Klaus walked after her. "Kaylin."

"We had to bring Hope and Rae here to save their lives because the Hollow got to them before, when we were hundreds of miles away from this city, Klaus," Kaylin told him. "But I'm not going to let that kill them, Emma and Danny now."

"I know," Klaus told her. "I told you that I would never let you lose Rae, and you have been looking after Hope as your own whenever we couldn't be there. I will show your daughter the same kindness that you showed mine. We are going to save them."

"And Emma and Danny," Ryan told them.

Lindsey nodded. "And Emma and Danny."

"We are going to save my niece and nephew," Luke told them. "We are going to save Emma and Danny."

Everyone nodded in agreement.

Kassandra looked at Elijah, Rebekah, Kol and Klaus. "A thousand years ago, we four made an eternal vow. To protect each other, always and forever. Freya, that vow now includes you. As it includes Hope, Hayley and Mikayla. Kaylin, Nicola, you may not be blood, but the two of you and Rae have fought for us and protected us like family. And we've shown you the same. Lindsey, Ryan, we won't let anything happen to Emma and Danny either."

"Emma and Danny are my heart and soul," Lindsey told them. "They're Ryan's heart and soul. Just like Rae is Kaylin's, and Hope is Klaus and Hayley's."

"Right now, Hope, Rae, Emma and Danny are out there, alone in the darkness, fighting," Ryan told them. "We can't give up. So, I'm begging you, all of you, if there's any chance..."

"I think I know a way to save them," Auria told them.

"Anything," Kol told her.

"Name it, Auria," Lucien told her.

Auria looked at Klaus, Elijah, Rebekah, Freya, Kassandra and Kol. "If we go this route, this is gonna be the end of your family. This is gonna be the end of always and forever."

No one knew how to react to this, all of them in shock and reeling.
