The fall wasn't exactly smooth. He bumped against the seat and eventually clanged on the ground, bumping his back against the other seat.
He lay there for a second, squirming like a fish out of the water. Energy leaving his every pore.
Then everyone came out of their shocked state.
"Fenton's a ghost!!!!"
Dash pumped his fist in the air. "I knew it."
Andrew had a similar reaction.
Maddie and Jack couldn't believe it. They knew Danny had a little bit of ectoplasm in his blood but for it to be that much. Enough to be sucked out of him and into the filters. This shouldn't be happening.
Sam and Tucker jumped out of their seats and ran towards Danny.
"Danny common." Tucker slapped his friends face. The halfa's eyes were open wide and his mouth open in a silent scream. He flailed. "Stay with me, buddy."
Sam turned to the parents. "Stop the ship," she said. Her voice deadly and threatening.
They didn't move. Too much in shock.
She lost her patience. "STOP THE FUCKING SHIP."
This snapped them out of their trance. Maddie ran forward and kneeled next to Danny. Tears ran down her cheeks.
Jack wanted to do the same but he realized he couldn't help Danny like that.
He jumped in the cockpit and rammed on the brakes. The ship lurched and screams sounded in the back. He landed on the first the best island he saw.
Then he ran back and opened the door.
By now all the adolescents were up and panicking. Sam struggled to pick the squirming Danny up. Tucker helped her and Valerie held his feet.
The ghost boy's leg swung out and kicked her in the face. Valerie let go and grabbed her cheek.
Dash huffed. This wasn't going to work. He pushed aside two students and grabbed the boy. He wrapped his arms around Danny's chest and pinned his arms down.
Kwan pushed teenagers aside and made a path for his friend.
Dash scrambled out. The rest following behind. He put the boy on the ground, expecting it to get better. It only got worse.
Sam ran towards them. "Farther away. Go farther away!!"
They complied and dragged the boy deeper in the island.
They were five meters away when Danny calmed down. He fell limp, unconscious.
The others gathered around the boy. He was panting and gasping for breath, but his eyes were otherwise closed.
They stared at the boy in relief.
Mr. Lancer looked at Tucker in confusion. "Mr. Foley. Will you explain what is going on."
They all looked at Tucker simultaneously. He flinched. "Why do you think I know what's happening?" He tried.
The adolescents that knew the trio raised their eyebrows.
Tucker sighed and stole a glance from Sam. "Danny's the halfa ok."
There was complete silence. Nobody said anything.
Andrew smiled. "I knew it."
"Well well well. What do we have here."
Everyone looked up at the new voice.
A few feet away from them stood a big ghost. He was dressed in white and a fedora hat was planted on his head. He smirked. "The punk and his little friends. Humans, no less. Why am I not surprised."
It was only now that they looked up to see their surroundings. Many others ghosts floated next to the white one. These were green and held up high tech guns. A big building could be seen behind the ghosts.
It was big and scary. It looked like a prison.
Tucker bit his lip. This is not good. This is not good.
Maddie frowned. Tears still stuck on her cheeks. "Who are you?"
The ghost smirked, as if he was happy for the question. "My name is Walker. Know it, fear it, obey it." He leaned forward.
Maddie knew this ghost was bad news. She stood up and balled her fists. "What do you want."
"You are humans. In the Ghost Zone. That goes against the rules. And I value my rules a lot."
Richard jumped up. "Well screw the rules!" And he tried to run to the ship but a guard grabbed his arm.
The others realized what he was trying. They quickly got themselves up and ran to the safe haven. All except Sam, Tucker and the Fentons. They couldn't leave Danny.
Valerie was still in 'every man on his own' kind of lifestyle.
They didn't get far. Because Walker had figured they would try that and surrounded the group.
They were still too far from the filters for the ghosts to notice.
They rounded the group back together like a herd of sheep.
Walker stood before them. "You didn't think it would be that easy, did you."
Chelsea shrugged. "We kind of did."
The warden laughed. "You might find it harder than you think to escape me. Impossible practically." Then he looked at Danny. He scowled. "Besides. That punk owes me a few centuries in prison."
There were gasps. Danny had been in prison?
Andrew cocked his head. "So someone did escape your prison." Sheldon nudged him, a silent beg to shut up.
Andrew, as always, didn't listen. He gestured at the halfa. "Danny did. And many times, I would guess."
This new piece of information shook the group even more. They were learning new things about Danny in every passing second.
Walker clenched his jaw. "He did. To the point that his years in prison are too long, even for a ghost. I shall have to change his punishment to make sure he never escapes again." He chuckled. "This is my favorite part of the job."
Dash frowned. "What is he going to do," he whispered to Kwan, who shrugged.
Andrew was pale. "He's going to execute Danny."
Walker gestured towards a few guards. "Take the humans to the cells. Confiscate the ship too."
The people struggled as they were dragged away. Two guards ripped Danny away from the arms of his mother and she jumped forward. "No!! Leave my baby alone, you monstrous...evil...pieces of...I hope you rot...wait till I get my hands on you.."
A gun produced from her forearm and she pointed it at the ghosts, completely enraged.
The students quickly got out of the way. Never take a child away from its mother. Especially if that mother is Maddie Fenton.
She shot and a ghost was pushed backwards.
Jack jumped up next to her and they rained shots on the ghosts.
"You mess with our son, you'll have to deal with us, you putrid scumbags."
The adolescents looked on as the furious parents fought the guards expertly. They had never seen so much precision in their attack. They had certainly not expected it from Jack.
Then Sam and Tucker ran up and shoved ghosts aside. Valerie followed their example and soon everyone was joining in on the fight.
Richard screamed a battle cry.
Dash came barraging into a ghost as if he was playing football. Kwan used the bazooka and James swung with his bat.
He saw a ghost try to sneak up on Kim, who was shooting her wrist wray, and James shouted. He caught the ghost's attention. But it was too late because the bat ricocheted against its head. Kim threw him a grateful smile.
Andrew kneeled trembling on the ground. He couldn't fight. He was too weak. He was only a nerd, for goodness' sake. Then he spotted Mikey try to fight off a ghost with the Fenton Ghost Gloves.
Andrew looked down in shame. I'm useless.
Suddenly he saw two feet in front of him. He looked to see Sheldon. "Common, buddy. Don't you wanna join the fun?"
Andrew smiled and stood up. "Since when do you like fighting?"
Sheldon smiled and held out a cylinder. "I guess I'm getting a sense of adventure."
Andrew grabbed the cylinder Sheldon was giving him. "What is this?" He clicked a button and the top sprung open. Tentacles flew out and wrapped themselves around a ghost's head. The ghost screamed.
Sheldon shrugged. "I found it in the pile and thought you would know how to work it. Seems I was right."
Andrew brought the tentacles back. He noticed there was Mr. Fenton's head in the middle of the tails. He smiled and shot them again. "I think your sense of adventure is rubbing off on me."
They stood back to back. "Let's do this."
Star and Paulina held up the Fenton staffs and did their cheerleader act.
Walker growled as he saw his guards get hit. The humans were slowly making their way to the ship. He wasn't about to let the halfa slip through his fingers again.
He dug out a special gun he had forced Technos to make. He aimed it at the orange man and shot.
It hit him straight in the back and he was pushed forward. It would have been hard to miss the man's bulk.
Jack grunted and struggled to get up. Next to him he saw his wife get hit too. He scrambled over to her. "Maddie. Are you okay."
She nodded as she wiped some blood from her face. She stood up. "You'll pay for that." She held up her arm but nothing happened. She stared surprised. "Jack?"
Jack saw what she was trying. He held up his wrist. He expected a gun to come but it didn't. He tried all the guns in his jumpsuit but nothing happened. He scowled at Walker. "What did you do."
The warden turned to his guards. "Disarm them."
Now that Jack and Maddie were out of action the others' guns were quickly confiscated.
Richard wriggled and kicked the guard but it managed to take his gun. He plopped on the ground and quickly mingled with the others. He smirked as he fingered the sticks in his pocket.
Jack and Maddie were searched for any hidden weapons. They found a lot.
A guard came up to Walker. "We found this with the man."
Walker accepted the little box. There was a little button on it. He threw it to one of the guards. "Push it."
The ghost went pale. He gulped and slowly brought his finger down. Who knows what a ghost hunter's little box could do.
A loud 'beep beep' made all the ghosts flinch.
Walker smiled as the ship clicked shut. He nodded. "Bring the vehicle to me."
The humans were being herded inside. He put his hands back, satisfied. Then he heard a commotion. The humans and ghosts stopped to look back at the guards by the ship.
One guard dragged himself away from the ship. Another helped him. A ghost stood at attention before Walker. "We can't get close sir."
Walker growled. "What do you mean you can't get close."
The guard gestured towards the ship. "It weakens us."
Walker looked at the ship. Then at the dead ground around it. Then at the still unconscious Danny.
He seemed to understand what had happened.
He formed a plan.
He smirked, an expression that didn't sit well with the humans.
"Throw him in."
