Tyler's pov
I woke up stretching my arms forward and yawning. I checked my clock and it read 9:30 am meaning I only had one hour to get ready. Usually I'd still be in bed sleeping till 12:00 on a Saturday, but since my mum is forcing me to go out with Josh today, that's not going to be happening.
I lazily stood up from bed and walked towards my cupboard grabbing a pair of black skinny jeans and a white tank top. My phone suddenly beeped and I looked around to see it on my desk. I picked it up and read the recent message I just received.
Joshua(The Devil): can't wait to see you today princess ;)
I honestly hate the fact that I got Josh's number saved in my phone and he has mine in his phone.
Tyler✌: Shut up Joshua
Joshua(The Devil): sorry, no can do
Tyler✌: I'll block you
Joshua(The Devil): Jeez fine I'll go now
I slid my phone away into my front pocket satisfied, then went into the kitchen to make breakfast. Zack and Maddie were the only ones there so I'm guessing mum and dad are both at work while Jay is sleeping, like usual.
Maddie turned around to face me when she heard me walk in.
"Hey Tyler, you're up early? Normally you'd be sleeping in on a Saturday." Maddie said puzzled.
"Well mum is forcing me to go out with Josh from next door today." I sighed.
"Oh okay. And forced? I thought you two were friends?" The young girl questioned.
I burst out laughing. "Friends?! Hah yeah right."
"Oh so you dislike him?" Maddie asked.
"He's the Devil in disguise," I retorted.
"When he came over he seemed pretty nice, I like his hair too. It's cool."
"Well I've known him longer than you." I said.
"Hey what time are you meeting?" Zack chimed in after listening to me and Maddie's conversation.
"Uh 10:30, Why?" I answered.
"Well it's currently 10:13 so you have 17 minutes. Also if you happen to see Ashley, tell her I said hi." Replied Zack.
"Uh-okay." I said grabbing the milk out of the fridge to make a bowl of cereal. "And do you like Ashley?"
"W-what do you mean?" The boy stuttered.
"You know, like have a crush on her?"
"What?!no of course not." Zack spilled out a little too quickly.
"You don't sound sure of your self," I said as I sat down at the table and started eating.
"I'm 100% sure, she's cute and all, but no." The younger brunette firmly stated.
I smirked raising an eyebrow at my younger brother. "Alright, if you say so."
The three of us carried on eating in silence until it was 10:26. I rushed to put the bowl away and brush my teeth, then grabbed my keys, bus-pass, and headed out the door.
I knocked loudly and the door swung open revealing Ashley standing there. She smiled when she saw me, then turned around and called, "Josh! Tyler is here."
Ashley turned back to face me."So how are you?" She asked.
"Good. You?" I replied.
"Yeah good," she said awkwardly, not knowing what else to say.
We stood there for about a minute in silence before she turned around and shouted up the stairs again. "Josh hurry up!"
"Yeah wait give me a minute." The boy shouted back down the stairs.
She turned back to me sighing."I'm sorry he's really slow at doing things."
"It's fine." I said smiling awkwardly. "Oh, and Zack told me to tell you he said hi."
She smiled and blushed looking down at her feet. "Tell him I said hi too."
I then saw the purple haired boy sprint down the stairs. He was wearing black ripped skinny jeans and a grey t-shirt that had the word 'NASA' imprinted on it.He went to grab his shoes, phone and wallet, then walked out the door shutting it behind him and saying goodbye to Ashley.
"Jeez, you take long to get ready." I huffed.
"Sorry I couldn't find my phone then remembered that i had left it downstairs."
"Whatever," I rolled my eyes smiling. "let's just go."
The pair of us walked toward the bus stop and waited for the next bus to arrive. Once it did, we both got on and drove away to the busier shop filled part of the city. I can't believe I was actually doing this. Going out with Josh?!! This can't be happening, he's meant to be my enemy not friend. But then again, I'm not the one who organized to go out. It was both of our parents. Plus the only reason we are going out is because Josh wants to get his hair re-dyed.
We arrived and got of the bus. I then walked down towards the hairdressers with Josh following on behind me. The building had a blue and white aesthetic to it and looked very posh inside. I pushed the glass door open and the two of us walked in.
"Hello how may I help you." A lady with dark brown hair in a ponytail, dip-dyed pink at the ends, asked us.
"Well i would like to get my hair re-dyed. " answered Josh.
She smiled at us then replied, "Lucky for you we are quite empty today so you can take a seat in the chair over there." She gestured over into the corner where there was a white seat facing a mirror.
"Thank you." said Josh, "And i never got your name."He added.
"It's Sara." The lady smiled.
Me and Josh walked over to the chair.
"So what colour should I get it done." Josh asked as he took a seat in the chair.
"you are asking me?" I replied.
"Yeah. I want your opinion. I was thinking either Blue or Red."
I thought for a second before saying, "Red sounds cool."
He smiled, "Then red it is."
Sara walked over with the Red hair dye and started brushing out Josh's messy purple locks. I got tired of standing and I figured this would take a while so I walked over towards the glass door and took a seat in the waiting area. I pulled out my phone ad started going through my messages.

I slid my phone away into my pocket and looked up to see the red haired Josh getting his hair blow dried and brushed.
I do find Josh annoying, but I do have to admit, he did kinda look really good with red hair. And no I'm not gay or anything. I'm perfectly straight since I have a girlfriend that I love ,right?
But anyway, I'm not sure for how long I was staring at him but it must have been a while. Josh noticed me staring by the reflection in the mirror and started smirking at me. We weren't facing each other but could see him looking at the mirror right at me. I blushed bright red and looked away. Josh then spun around in his chair to look at me still holding that smirk on his face.
"Like what you see," the red head teased.
I rolled my eyes and sighed. "Whatever Dun, let's just go get food, I'm hungry."
Josh nodded and got up to pay Sara, then we walked out the door waving goodbye.
"Whe're we eating?" Asked Josh.
"There's a taco bell near by. It's about 10 minutes walk." I replied.
Once we had arrived, we ordered our food, then sat down in a small booth. We ate in silence as there was not much really to say. But that was until we were interrupted by my phone ringing.
"Who is it?" Josh said.
I pulled out my phone to see my girlfriend's contact number.
"Jenna," I responded.
He nodded his head while I pressed the answer call button.
"Hey love" I said into the phone.
"Hey Tyler. I wanted to know if you were free tonight, there's a really good movie I want to see."
I looked up at Josh who was distracted by making a smiley face out of ketchup. I couldn't help but smile at his child like adorablness. Wait What??!!! I did not just think that.
"Uh yeah sure I'm not busy" i replied back to her.
I noticed Josh look up when I said that.
"Great, meet you at the cinema at 4:30"
" Okay, see you Jen"
"Byeee love you."
"Love you too bye."
I hung up the phone and looked up at Josh, "You ready to go?"
He nodded his head I got up to walk out the door not saying anything.
"You okay?" I asked concerned.
"Yeah," he replied but I still noticed the hurt in his mocha eyes. I couldn't help but feel guilty at the fact that I was going to be ditching him soon to hang out with Jenna.
We walked out to bus stop and waited in silence. Then the bus came and we were off back home.
We had arrived at our houses and I started walking towards my front door.
"Bye Josh," I called out to him.
He looked up at me and waved walking into his house and shutting the door, he still didn't say anything.
I tried to ignore my slightly guilty conscience and went into my room to get changed for my date with Jenna.
Josh's Pov:
I don't know whether I'm annoyed at Tyler or not. Yeah I know he doesn't exactly like me, but still. What he did was just rude. Who on earth would call someone to say they're free when they are sitting right next to the person they are hanging out with?!
Maybe I'm just being dramatic. Like he doesn't even count me as one of his friends. But I thought Jenna had been avoiding Tyler recently, and suddenly when she calls to hang out with him, Tyler gives in, so easily too. No persuading was involved.
I bet Tyler doesn't even feel the slightest bit guilty. Just an empty cold hearted body with no soul.
Any way moving on, I have to admit, my hair looks great. Tyler did happen to make a good decision with the colour. I would have never thought I liked red so much.
